Happy Labor Day Weekend teamRIPPED!

Have you been laboring hard at your work, home, and workouts? Then this weekend is for you. I hope you have a great one planned and take some time for some R&R. It’s easy to get going so hard that you feel bad for resting. DON’T! Our bodies need rest. It’s when we grow and recover. Beyond that, with proper rest and recovery you are able to push harder than you would if you never really rest.

Active rest, it’s a great thing to utilize to. This is easily done by getting out and enjoying some activities! Go swimming, take a hike, ride bikes, play with your kids, all of this is a great way to rest from your workouts but still get your blood pumping. If you’d normally don’t do this, this weekend is a perfect time to start! I know I’ll be swimming all weekend with my kids and I’m sure will get an a bike rider two.

We have friends coming over to our house for Labor Day! They also got bit by the Beachbody bug, so I know they’ll be like-minded in having fun outside and not just pigging out like the whole weekend is one big party. If you are going to a party this weekend, have fun but realize that if you are irresponsible you are just working against yourself and all the effort you have put in already this week. I think the best way to enjoy yourself and reach your goals is to just track your food IIFYM style this weekend. Work in the foods you don’t typically eat into your macros. Protein will still take some priority if you are cutting, but don’t feel back for eating some treats if you track them! You are still hitting your goals. There is NOTHING to feel bad about. This makes me think of my post on GUILT, you might want to revisit it if you have typically gone off the wagon and feel really bad. Don’t let it be you!

The Perfection Crew

Still plugging it! Why? Cuz this is the best way to get the results you want. It’s all in. It’s real dedication. It’s for the few that want to finally drop all excuses and just DO WORK!

I’ve had good questions about the PC this fall. So let me answer a few. Yes you have to do every workout. Yes you’ll have to leave the group if you’re sick or get injured. There’s no hard feelings about this but it’s a really high standard that we’ve set in the perfection crew. Yes missing a daily entry of your workout and nutrition tracking will remove you from the group. It’s all or nothing.
