Hey coach I'm on my last wk of p90x and was wondering how should I change my eating habits once I have the bf% I want so I can start to gain mass since I'm a teen?? Thanks

adil_bjk Go ahead and use this site and email me with any questions. My email is coachwayne@teamripped.com
hey wayne . I'm Adil .. from Turkey. my english is poor, but from where I'd find P90X can you help?
Asylum or p90x2 For gaining speed
yonasbb Both will improve speed. For more overall athletic performance, I think X2 wins. For cardiovascular capacity, it's tough to beat the Asylum Vol 1.
@CoachWayne thanks, but one more question. Which one will shave more time of my 40yd dash
yonasbb I think I'd go with the Asylum if that is your goal. You will definitely increase your ability to push harder. We've had a lot of teamRIPPED members do great work with their 40 cuz of the Asylum. Check out: http://teamripped.com/category/asylum-legends/

Hey Coach,
I am in the third week of p90x2 and I have a question for you. I'm looking to burn fat while maintain/build a little bit of muscle. I am doing the fat shredder as well with a 500 cal deficit. On rest day, you think it's okay to incorporate cardio? Possibly a 30 minute jog..or do you recommend something else? or even not doing anything at all? Thanks for responding to my previous posts by the way.
Chris, I think that would be ok (always listen to your body). I would recommend that you only do it in the Foundation and Strength phases. Once you get to Performance, do it by the book as that is an intense phase. Keep it up man!
Wayne,
I just finished my first round of x2 at FS the entire time and want to do it again. I'm at 10% BF woundered if I should do maintenane first muh some surplus 200-300 the seound phase and FS during PAP. What do you think? Also, do I have to wait to do another round?
Ken, are you happy with your BF%? Then go for it! If you want to lose more, keep on a deficit. No need to wait. X2 ends with a recovery week. You can jump right in.
Hey Coach :) , what do u think about Abs X2 and Abs X ?! which one is better ?
Mohammed Hamdy Both are good and different so it's hard to compare. I love using them both and switching my ab workouts up.
Hey Coach,
Now that I've completed two rounds of rounds of P90X/Insanity hybrid I want a new challenge. I'm considering X2. I'm looking to gain some mass, but not a whole lot, but want to increase my strength. I Plan to order it this week. Any tips for getting the results you did while doing X2? I want to take my body and fitness to the next level.
Zhen, really find your maintenance calorie need. You can play around with a small surplus (200-300 calories) to get some really lean gains. X2 is great for strengthening all your weak points and really allows you to then maximize your performance. It may seems really different at first, but all the balance moves build and build into the Strength and Performance Phases. You will love it!
CoachWayne Thanks Coach! I just ordered it today. I can't wait to get at this program and crush it again.
Hi Coach , i want to know if i should follow the program in the exact 1 hour workout or take my time up to 1.5 hour , considering that i am aiming for building muscle , also do i need to take supplements in non-resistance workouts like yoga and plyocide and the off days , one last question :) , what do u think about hypird X1 & X2 like so :phase 1 :
core x2
yoga x2
the rest of X1 excluding kenpo and cardio workouts
phase 2 :
exact X2
phase 3 :
core x2
yoga x2
the rest of X1 excluding kenpo and cardio workouts
Mohammed Hamdy Giving yourself extra recovery time between sets is great for bulking. It will allow you to lift as heavy as you can (not being limited by cardio endurance). The split looks good too!
CoachWayne i will give the hypird a try :) ,About supplement in off days and yoga do i need them or just go with the normal diet ?!
Mohammed Hamdy Supplements like creatine and whey should be taken all the time. R&R should only be taken after tough workouts. Are there any other supplements you are taking?
CoachWayne i use whey and and a banana post workout (what do u think about that mix instead of R&R or shoud i exchange banana with dextrose ) and before sleeping only whey as i am training first thing on the morning, i consider using creatine on my next hypird (mentioned above) , and i take (ON Multivitamins ) , any suggestion :) ?!
Mohammed Hamdy That all sounds good. If you want to try dextrose, that is fine. It may be easier to throw in a shake. Both are simple carbs, so they fill the role. I like whey in the evening too.
Coach, I am starting X2 today, finally, and am wondering. I know that you have nearly stopped taking PWO's, and that you recomended 1MR for insanity, do you have a recomendation for X2? I am on Ravage right now.
Jeff, 1MR would still be great. For lifting, I have always liked NanoVapor. If you want an option to take if you are cycled off of creatine, I have used E&E because of its lack of creatine. In all, there are TONS of options. See if you can get some samples from GNC or BodyBuilding.com and try them out!
Hey coach, I'm about to buy the P90x program. Should I start with X2 or X. My goal is to build muscle because I don't have much fat to lose. I'm 5'8 and 145 lbs.
Olby, I would start with P90X. X2 really requires the level of fitness you'd gain from first doing P90X. Building muscle is as much about nutrition as losing weight is, so get ready to track and EAT!
Is the P90x2 V sculpt better then the 1 on 1 V-Sculpt or are they about the same? I'm about to finish my first round of P90x/Insanity hybrid, and then I'll do another round to take me to end of the year then was going to start P90x2 at the beginning of January. My second round I'll be doing more branching out with P90x/Insanity hybrids and the insanity deluxe cds and a few 1on1 dvds (30-15, just arms, diamond delts) and I was wondering if I should replace delts with V-sculpt or just wait until P90x2 in January. I feel that my shoulders/arms are getting bigger then my lats and it's kind of misproportioned a little. Maybe I'm just seeing it differently lol. Should I just do more pullups? I'll be adding a 20lb weight vest for my second round for pullups. Thoughts?
Tyler, both V-scuplts are very similar. I would wear the vest for the entire round. Get the most use out of it as possible! Bring it!
Hey Coach Wayne! is it bad to do P.A.P Lower on Carpet? with all the explosive moves and quick pace, its a possibility to slip and fall right?
Gonzalo, Whatever surface you do it on watch for slipping. You want to be 100% sure of your footing with explosive moves.
Coach Wayne, Thanks for what you are doing, you are a true inspiration! I am starting up working out again after a very physically limiting pregnancy. I am starting my 3 rd week of p90 x. My joints are almost ready to start adding insanity as the cardio portion of the hybrid plan. Some days I have a ton of energy and some days I struggle through the workouts ( I am only 4 weeks postpartum and some days I feel I need to skip a workout bc I feel so weak) I drink protein shakes to get all my protein requirements and I am taking in about 1100 calories per day. I am afraid to add any other nutrition formulas like shakeology, recovery drink, or creatine since I am breast feeding... And will be doing so for about a year. What are your thoughts? Also, should I increase my caloric intake with the same fat shredder ratio? I seem to crave more fruit and veggies than the plan calls for. Any advice would be helpful!
Brandy I would really check with your doctor if you are also breast feeding. I would imagine they will have some pretty exact recommendations for eating. I know women have to worry abut their milk supply, 1100 may not maintain it.
Gonzalo, my core was pretty strong from 1-on-1s and my hybrids. It is harder being tall, but it is like anything else... it just takes practice!
Any new word on whether they will allow coaches to pay this on a payment plan? I can't really afford the entire deluxe package in one sitting right now :(
Gonzalo, I ate at maintenance for the first phase, and moved to slight surplus. Then for the final final I went back to FS and a deficit to really tighten up for the final.
Hey Gonzalo, I use an 18" plyo box. I also have a 12" and 6" but they are too short. I think the most useful sizes to have would be an 18" and a 24".
Coach Wayne. I am finishing up P90X here in a few weeks and will be starting up X2. Trying to figure exactly what I will need in the way of equipment for the program. The videos show 3 medicine balls for some exercises and the platforms used for some of the leg workouts. Can you clarify quantity and weights for the medicine balls and if there is anything else required outside of what you can get in the X2 Deluxe package.
Coach, do you use a rumble roller or smooth foam roller. What do you recommend?
