wayne, hi i've seen your videos in youtube. i was wondering if i should take whey protein only after the weight routines in p90x or i should also take it after yoga, kenpo and the others like those. thanks. Hugo Brunicardi from Venezuela.

Coach Wayne, I am on day 10 of P90x and i bought a small container of Cyrosport muscle milk chocolate just to try. I was using it before i started p90x so it is almost gone, anyway I was wondering if I should switch to the p90x whey protein or stick with what I have? I noticed that the muscle milk contains more calories, fat and other items as well as more protein, what do you suggest?

I'd say just finish it off Bryan, and then look to get a protein like Dymatize Iso-100, Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard (both are available on Bodybuilding.com), or Wheybolic Extreme 60 (GNC).

Thanks :-) That really helps a lot !! My pre-workout supp has already creatine. Shall I take more after the workout ? I know one should not over do it with creatine. Just checked out your YouTube video about your Shakeology-Mix you make in the mornings, there you use glutamin. So that Shake would be after your workout? I would love to workout in the mornings, but I barely get out of bed to go to work (LOL). How did you get used to it? Is there some "trick" ?

Hey Shabar, the amount of creatine in your PWO is probably about 3g. You should be taking about 7g or so per day, so yes, you'll need more than just what is in the PWO during your "on" cycle. Yes, I used to use the Shakeology after my workout, but now I use a recovery drink and then use Shakeology later at breakfast. The "trick" is to suck it up and do it for a couple weeks until you adjust! LOL!

Hi, Coach Wayne. I'm a bit confused about when to take the protein. Some sources say to take it as a pre-workout supp, others say to take it after - and again others recommed to do both (before and after). What do you think? How did you do it? Is there some list of P90X when to take what, i.e. when to take protein, creatin, glutamin ...?

Hey Shabar, as for timing supplements, whey protein should be used throughout the day (I usually do about 3 servings per day, one morning, one evening, and one either at lunch or a snack time). Read more about protein in my article "protein review" in the "nutrition all in one" section http://teamripped.com/my-nutritionsupplements/nutrition-all-in-one Shakeology can be anytime, but most do it at breakfast or lunch. I do mine at breakfast (along with a scoop of whey). It can either replace an entire meal or you can eat a little with it, depending on if you are trying to drop weight or not. Pre-workouts like Jack3d or 1MR should be taken 20-30 min before a workout. Results/Recovery formula should be taken immediately after your workout. Creatine should be taken immediately after your workout (with a recovery drink), and one other time during the day (I workout in the am, so I take one serving right afterward, and another after dinner). (If you work out in the pm, take 1 serving in the am and the other right after your pm workout with a recovery drink). Hope that helps!!!

hey coach hows it goin i came up whit a workout program the gaves me the oportunity to get both world p90x and gym its 2 days gym, 1 p90x,1 gym,1 p90x,1 gym and sunday p90x;i do my lifting days at the gym and the cardio,core,plyo whit the"X"what u think i get both worlds.....

Hey Nato, you can get in shape doing either, but P90X gets my vote, hands down. With P90X you know you are getting a complete workout that is scientifically proven to give you amazing results, get you stronger and more athletic, and help you shed a ton of body fat. At the gym, you pay every month, if you want some actual guidance from a trainer you have to pay for that too, and you have to be sure that you provide your own variety on the workouts or else you will quickly plateau and stop seeing any changes.

The scoops vary in size depending on the density of the powder being measured Nato. That's why you'd have to either have a scoop that is designed for your powder or you'd need to weigh it.

Hey Coach how does that protien powder compare with muscle tech? muscle tech claims to be 24% better then whey and i have always use muscle tech and cell tech when going to the jym. thanks

Hey Ernie, I haven't used Muscle Tech or Cell Tech. But ALL supplements claim to be better than their competitors LOL! Cell tech has creatine which is handy (although you can do the same thing by supplementing it separately).

hey coach am having the dymatize whey isolate protein it's hard to take but i dont want to lose weight and i cant have a ganeir cuz am on the off cycle of creatine now and that protein only got like 114 calories but it got 24g protein and no sugar what u think??

Sure you can have protein and a weight gainer nato. It depends though about the creatine. Whey protein doesn't contain creatine, and you'll just have to look at the weight gainer you are using to see if it does.
