Q: Why should I consider becoming a coach?
A: As I went through my first round of P90X, becoming a coach was the last thing on my mind. However, my coach pointed out that I should consider being a coach to save money on my own purchases (I was on Shakeology Home Direct, so by becoming a coach I would actually save money each month). I still didn’t know if I wanted to dive into coaching until I neared the end of my P90X journey and started to develop a true passion for how amazing this program works. All my friends were asking me what kind of workout I was doing, so I found myself talking about P90X all the time. I wasn’t selling anything to anybody, but my results were a walking advertisement. Then, when my transformation video hit YouTube, I was literally bombarded with questions about what worked/didn’t work for me, and I saw the opportunity to really help others catch my passion for P90X. Plus, by becoming a coach, I am now accountable to keep pushing play, keep getting more RIPPED, and keep setting a good example for my team. I can’t get lazy when I’ve got all of you looking up to me!! If you are passionate about P90X / Insanity / etc., want to help others with the programs, and are willing to be accountable as a coach to keep BRINGING IT, then I encourage you to consider coaching.
Q: How do I become a coach myself?
A: If you’d like to talk more about becoming a coach but have questions, email me at email@example.com. To sign up as a coach, all you have to do is click on this link
Q: How much does it cost to become a coach?
A: There is an initial $39.95 fee and then a monthly charge of $14.95 for your back office. The back office is a website that Beachbody provides for you that keeps track of your sales, team sales, customers, commissions, as well as some training, sales tools, and much more.
Q: How much time do I have to dedicate in order to be a coach?
A: The amount of time you spend is completely up to you. It just depends on what kind of coach you want to be. You can be a coach simply for the purpose of saving money on your own products (for example, if you currently use Shakeology, the amount you save on your Shakeology purchase each month is more than the monthly fee to be a coach, so you’ll already be ahead!). Or, if you want to make the investment of time to turn your coaching into a great part-time (or even full time) business, Beachbody is the perfect way to do that. You are a product of the system, and your own results are a walking, talking advertisement that will bring people to you! Plus, you are backed by Beachbody’s multi-million dollar advertising budget.
Q: What are some of the benefits of becoming an Independent Beachbody Coach?
Q: Do I have to have a great transformation to be a coach?
A: No! You have to have a passion for helping others and the desire to succeed. The earlier you start, the better. Having a great transformation is just the icing on the cake, because my coaching business has literally exploded due to the response to my transformation. Let that keep you motivated as you go through the program (Tell yourself that you can literally turn your results into a profitable business! That might give you the extra incentive to Bring It!!)
Q: What if I’m not very knowledgable about fitness?
A: You don’t have to be a fitness expert to be a coach. I wasn’t when I first started. However, I’ve done a lot of research to learn as much as I could about fitness in general (and P90X / Insanity / One on Ones / P90X2 in particular), nutrition, and supplements. The best time to start learning and becoming an expert is NOW!
Q: Will I get the proper training?
A: Beachbody has an excellent training program called the Coach Training Academy, which you will have access to when you sign up to coach. I have also created my own training program to provide you the knowledge to be a successful coach.
You obviously put a lot of time and effort into your coaching and website...do you do this on the side or has this become a full-time career?
Thanks a lot Wayne. I'll sure to be back to ask hundred more question, just kidding. But thanks a lot for all of your support.
Hey Wayne, Just another question about your site, how did you get your site to connect to all of Beachbody products so that it would refer you as their coach? I just became a coach and I really like how your site is set up. I like to model my website after yours. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Hey Jon, the step by step instructions on how to do a custom website (should you choose to) are included in the training I provide to everyone who signs up as a coach on my team.
Jon there is a document in your back office that tell you how to set up product link with your coach ID. You can also look at my links and replace my coach ID with your own. Also the banners are linked to you, those can be found in the back office as well. Make sure you do the TNL training, it will tell you a lot!
Hey Wayne, I was thinking about becoming a coach and I was wondering does beachbody supply you with this website or did you have purchase your own website? Thanks.
It's not hard at all Reid. All of the product links and pages (some I have created) contain my coach number and that is how they link to me. The banners are made by BB and already contain your coach number. Your team members just need to make sure sign you up as their coach!
Hello Wayne, I've been tossing around the idea of becoming a coach lately and I had a question. Beachbody provides you with 3 different website set ups but you are currently running your biz on teamripped.com. Is this a registered name or something that you are able to link to beachbody if you have a domain name already? Appreciate your help!
Hey Reid, teamRIPPED.com is my own domain and website. TBB gives you your own site too. It is their template and off of tbb.com. Then in the backoffice, they supply you with tons of links and graphics to use around the web.
Hey coach, you have any idea if Beachbody is still working on bringing the coaching opportunity to Canada anytime soon? I am anxious to open a site and start making money and inspiring others to get in shape. The discount would save me a great deal of cash as well and i think its about time that Shakology show up that body by vi shake thats floating around my town!
Hey Garrett, it's still in the works but it's a LONG SLOW process! I'll let you know as new info becomes available. Hang in there!
COACH, looking at my own site, starting ideas for it, does bb send u a w 2 at end of year for taxes, how does that work.. hoping to get site and business cards in next month/
Hi Coach! I've learned about Beach Body's Military Coach program where I can have my fees waived, but I can't find an application form that I can fax in. The link above seems to be for the normal application that charges your credit card. I found a link to a Military Coach application form, but it's pre-filled with another coach's info. Do you know where I can find a form with your Coach info on it?? Thx, Pete
Hey Wayne, Are you apart of Team Next Level? Also, I visited Todd Warren's site and noticed it's layout is similar/ the same theme as yours. Is that a theme available on worldpress? Thanks a bunch
Yes Eric, team next level is every coach from Josh Spencer on, and Josh was my coach. I was Todd's coach.
ok coach enough is enough, the informercial im in on insanity has really spread around my community. many people asking me for ideas, products etc. i gotta become coach and direct them to my website. im happy to do it for free. but i may as well get paid and get discount on my supplements... what do i do now?
If I become a coach do I have to have a credit card to pay for the monthly dues or can I use a debit or check card?
Hey Greg, you can use a debit or check card as well, as long as you can input the card # in a credit card field on the computer sign up (it needs an expiration date and security # on the back).
$150 a year is not bad at all considering the amount of people who visit this site now haha. I hope to become a coach in a month or two after I do asylum and want to start up a website like this to help people with fitness and nutrition because Im currently a fanatic haha, anyways thanks for the help!
Yes Greg, to have your own custom website costs something :-). I spend about $150 a year for domain registration, web hosting, email accounts, and a wordpress theme. The money isn't much. The BAJILLION hours of time is the bigger factor lol.
One other question coach, How long did it take you from signing up to be a coach to have the full website up and running? Im really into fitness and nutrition and think the idea of a website with a coach is a great thing just not totally positive I want to make the initial financial commitment since im still only a college student
Hey Grag, Beachbody assigns you a "storefront" website the moment you become a coach that people can "shop", make you their coach, and sign up as a coach. You don't have to do anything for that. For a custom blog site like teamripped, I did that on my own. It took me a few weeks to get that done. If you choose to do that, it's entirely up to you. I have training on how to do it, but as for how long it will take you to do it, it depends on how much time and effort you put in.
Hey Coach Wayne I was thinking about coaching for the discount on shakeology because im a college student and wouldn't be able to buy shakeology full price. I also want to coach to help people out. I have done p90x for about a year and a half now and have seen good results but I never took before and after photos or measurements because I was already pretty fit playing sports in high school. I guess I could take an old photo from the beach before I did p90x and a current photo but it still wouldn't show the true before and after I was just wondering would I still be able to be successful as a coach if I don't have the before and after photos to show?
Hey Greg, sure you can still be a successful coach. Obviously, showing your progress is a good way to lend credibility to what you are talking about, but even without official day 1 pics you can show the change you've made.
Hey Coach Wayne, I have you as my coach and have been reading your materials / following some of the things that have worked for you with noticible results (will be posting day 30 pic's on misfits challange this Sunday). If I become a coach on team Beach Body will you still be a point of accountibility for me? Will my purchases benifit you? Knowing that I'm only finishing my 4th week of P90X is it to early to sign up to be a coach? I just wanted to say that you and individulas on teamRipped misfit challange are very motovating and I feel is a safe place for people to be real witheach other. Blessings Todd
Hey Todd, yes, even if you sign up as a coach, I'll still be your "coach". I will keep helping you along the fitness journey, as well as training you on how to coach others if you'd like. Many sign up as a coach while they are still working on their own results, for many reasons (accountability, motivation to push harder, discounts, they are already helping people who notice their progress, etc).
Hi! My husband is active-duty military and I'm interested in potentially becoming a BB coach...I had heard that there was a special offer from BB for military or mil spouse coaches. Is this still an option? Thanks! Dana
Yes Dana, active duty military can sign up as a coach for free and there are no monthly fees as well. It's a great deal. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll get you some info and FAQ's on it.
Hey Coach my wife is about to sign up to be a Beachbody Coach, do you know if people buying Beachbody programs through her are able to do the payment plan that Beachbody.com offers?
Hey Moe, people cannot do the multiple payment plan through coaches or the teambeachbody network. Since commissions are paid to the coach, BB has to set it up so that the items purchased are paid for in full (no payment plan). However, there are also benefits to buying through a coach that you don't get if you buy from Beachbody.com. You get bonus items (like bonus workout DVD's) with your purchase through a coach. The shipping is cheaper (or even free depending on what you are ordering and if you order it on home direct). Plus, obviously, you get the help of having a coach. So it's a tradeoff. Retail prices are the same through either BB.com or TBB.com (the coaches), but with BB.com you can split the payments and with TBB.com you get extra perks. Hope that helps!
Coach real quick i did not set up this change but its changing you from wayne wyatt to Don Wayne Wyatt. Is this correct?
hey coach wayne, ive been following your website for a while now for motivation and tips, your website gives me inspiration , i have finally pulled the trigger and have signed up as coach for the discounts for the supplements , i am getting ready to start as soon as the shakeology and rr formula comes, what is the best way to contact you to keep you up dated on results and for accountability
Great Drew! You can contact me anytime -- quickest and easiest is on email at email@example.com because I get emails on my iPhone instantly.
