Hey Ryan, Insanity is more intense than Turbo Fire. Both burn calories and body fat. I find Insanity to be a challenge, and I'm in very good shape. I would suspect (and I could be wrong) that Insanity would be too much for this 55 year old woman in question. Turbo Fire might be the better choice.
Coach Wayne, I have completed a couple of rounds of P90X , as well as a your Round 2 hybrid workout. The question I have is, I am wanting to do another phase with your round 2 hyrbid workout plan in mind. Instead of using the P90X + series and Insanity Workouts, I wanted to sub them out with turbofire workouts....at least the cardio days?? Does this make sense?? Either that, or follow the P90X program and just sub out its cardio days with turbofire cardio workouts. The probelm I have, is figuring out the best cardio workout to use in place of the others.....can you shed any light on this for me??
brandon, I feel that is fine subing in Turbofire for the cardio days. only problem is I havent done any of the turbofire workouts so shedding light on which ones will work the best will be tough. I dont want to give you any false information when I have not tried all the programs. Really the main goal is to just get a cardio burn and your heart rate up (intervals are best in my opinion). I currently just finished my 2nd round and I mixed up the cardio days to keep it fresh and new- could I have stuck to the classic P90X routine ? Yes - you dont have to sub workouts in but thats the beauty of beachbody programs they give that option to mix it up - Hope this helps Brandon Coach Paul "DO WORK"
Hey Coach, Have you tried Turbo Fire yet? I thought about getting this to ramp up my cardio. Any thoughts?
Hey Jim, I haven't tried Turbo Fire. It uses the same HIIT principle that Insanity Workout uses, and since I'm really enjoying Insanity Workout, I haven't tried Turbo fire. Everyone who has done it sure loves it -- man and woman!
Just ordered turbo fire to add to Insanity Workout. Sure hope I can get my knee in order soon! I am going up the US tomorrow to see my Orthopedist and get this going. I haven't been able to work out since Friday and I am becoming cranky! I have to say though, at my check up yesterday, my dr said she could certainly tell there was a big difference in my body since I started Insanity Workout. Yeah!!!!
Hey Wayne, Which program, Insanity or TurboFire, would be better for a 55 year old woman who's in decent shape, but who's only goal is to burn body fat and loose about 15 pounds? Thanks for your input
