How do you feel about change? Are  you typically pretty optimistic? Does it scare you to the point you avoid it at all costs?

How we see change does a lot for how we behavior when change happens in our life. I know our experiences shape those responses, but we can also always be trying to make sure our response is appropriate for any situation. I wouldn’t say I love change, but I am also not against it. I just love to have a plan and see how that change is going to take place.

The reason I’m thinking about change is from all the conversations I have with y’all about other people in your life. We all decided at one point of another to make a change! That decision to get healthy and start working out will almost always cause a lot of change in your family, friends, and life. You can’t control how other people respond, but you can do your best to help them understand what you’re doing. I see this a lot with the big changes following a nutrition plan makes on your families’ typical eating. It might really upset your wife that you aren’t able to eat all of her delicious cooking anymore. It might upset your kids that you’ve decided to get rid of junk food to help eliminate any temptations. It might really put off your mom when you turn down a birthday cake that she made. We have to understand where these people are coming from and do our best to work through the changes they experience BUT you don’t have to crave either. Don’t get defensive, just be honest about your goals and make sure that everyone knows you still appreciate them. You shouldn’t have to apologize! Here’s a great post with more info on working with your family and sticking to your guns!

I also reached out the team to help me out with some upcoming meal plans. I want to get a consensus, or see if there is one, of where there are some groups of teamRIPPED members. My goal is to write some plans that will work for the majority of people, and will work for everyone with a few tweaks. If you haven’t had a chance to fill out my little survey, please do so. It helps me a lot!
