TOP COACH Checking In!!!
Hey teamRIPPED!! How was everyone’s week? Boy, mine was pretty special! That’s why instead of my usual “Coach Wayne Checking In!” I’m calling this “TOP COACH Checking In!!” LOL.
I don’t want to bore everyone by just talking about myself, but if you’ll please indulge me for a minute ….
I got to spend Saturday flying with Carl Diakeler, CEO of Beachbody, in a private jet to Tampa FL and Dallas TX where I was recognized at two big Beachbody events as the TOP COACH of 2011. That means that out of 68,000 coaches, I was named the #1 Top Coach! Crazy, huh?? I couldn’t help but sing that Nelly song “The Champ” in my head all weekend LOL! It was quite a special and humbling honor to receive that, because it shows the magnitude of the team we have here at teamRIPPED.
And while cruising with Carl was quite amazing, I gotta admit I got the hugest smile on my face ever when, unbeknownst to me, Traci Morrow was sporting this shirt at her big Beachbody event. Traci starred in P90X Plus and P90X2, has 6 kids and is very strong in her faith, and has been a huge encouragement and example to me of how shine brightly and make the most of the opportunities God opens up for us.
Anyways, I wouldn’t be Top-anything if it weren’t for all of you who have made our team so special. We’ve had a winner in the Beachbody Challenge EVERY SINGLE MONTH that they’ve had the contest in place now! That’s just crazy! We turn out amazing results week after week, and everyone at Beachbody headquarters knows all about us! It seems so small to just say “Thanks” to you guys and gals for staying plugged in, motivated, and inspiring others. I really do mean it though when I say THANK YOU for all you have done, individually and together, to make teamRIPPED the best. And I hope you know the amount of effort, time, and commitment I put in on my end to keep teamRIPPED at the top. I am truly committed to all of you and helping you reach your goals. My philosophy as a coach has been simple — I make YOUR goals MY goals. If you reach your goals, then I’ve been successful. And apparently that philosophy is working :-)
In June, I will get to go to Las Vegas for Beachbody’s big annual meeting (called Summit), at which I will literally get to receive the championship belt (like a prize fighter!). Josh Spencer got it last year, and he was my coach. And so I think it’s pretty cool that I’ve followed in his footsteps and will get to put it on this year. So I have to give a big shout out to Josh Spencer and www.iwanttogetripped.com for showing me how to BRING IT! And I also want to give a special shout out to all of the awesome team of coaches who I coach with, that inspire me every day as I watch them paying it forward and helping others. I love seeing them follow in my footsteps. Keep it up gang!
Anyways, enough about me. There is some cool news from Beachbody that came out at the weekend events if you haven’t heard yet. First, the official release date for TROPICAL SHAKEOLOGY has been set — Valentine’s Day, Feb 14th. Beachbody has hit a homerun with this one, but it wasn’t easy. To create a vegan shake that doesn’t end up tasting grainy is no easy task, but Carl said they’ve got it nailed. I can’t wait to try it myself.
Beachbody has also launched a Pre-Workout Formula called “Energy & Endurance Pre-Workout Formula”. I’ll be doing a full review on it as soon as I get a chance to try it, but here’s the initial post I did about it on Saturday for those who were paying attention = “E & E Preworkout” Launched!. And did you know that our Misfits officially finished P90X this weekend!!! WOOO HOOO! Congrats guys and gals. We will have a special treat for everyone once we compile our final stats, pics, and video. The Hall of Fame is about to have some new inductees! And I can guarantee you that several of these “Misfits” will be starring in the next P90X infomercial. That’s how awesome they have done! I would show you some of their final pics right now but I’d rather leave you in suspense until we get the final video done!
And many of the Misfits are sticking around for another round of P90X or a hybrid with Insanity or other workouts, so if you are looking to join a group for motivation and support, come join us on FB by clicking HERE. The “rules” I had originally are no longer mandatory. We are opening it up to others. But I encourage everyone who wants to take part in the next round with the Misfits to really step up and make a real commitment to stick with it. That was where many of these Misfits had failed in the past. They hadn’t kept their commitment level up the whole way through. This time they’ve learned how to dial it up a notch and they aren’t messing around! Come join if you think you can hang!
Also, I want to give a special shout out to LANCE LYELL, a mainstay of our teamRIPPED family who is now a successful Beachbody coach himself (check his team out at www.teamdetermination.com). Lance just found out that he won the Beachbody Challenge this month and scored some prize money! YEAH!! That now makes FOUR winners from the teamRIPPED family in the four months that the Beachbody Challenge has existed. NOT BAD gang! Congrats Lance! Also, I’m sure you folks noticed, but I added a new “Getting Started” link on the permanent right menu column which is the first place a newbie should look. It lays out what’s important, the links they need to know about to learn about their diets and workouts, and links to learn about plugging in and maximizing results. If you have friends or family who are new to exercise and fitness, direct them to that section first to get them up to speed.
And finally, I want to share with you some PROGRESS pics of Jeff R. Please don’t think he’s done. This is just 1 round — 90 days — of P90X. He almost didn’t want me to post these since he’s not at his goal yet, but with the amount of progress he’s made so far and his tenacious attitude, I am looking very forward to the results of his next round — a hybrid with P90X and Insanity. And to be honest, I am pretty blown away by Jeff’s Round 1 results. Congrats on crushing it Jeff! Inspiring stuff buddy!

Coach Wayne, Thanks so much for all the encouragement! My husband, Nathan, and I just decided to do P90X and I just ordered it. I am signed up under Anita, but consider you to be my second coach since I am learning so much from your website, articles and videos. My husband just signed up under you and we are really excited to get started! We have planned out a budget for everything we need and will be starting the workouts in February. In the mean time we are learning all we can about what we need and nutrition. Thanks so much to you and Anita for all the great advice!

1 question about the Tropical Shakeology. It being a new flavor does Beachbody give free trial size packs just so people can taste the new flavor?? Thanks
No JJ. They don’t. They don’t give trial packets of the other flavors either. But they do offer the bottom of the bag guarantee like they do on the other flavors if you buy it, try it, and don’t like it.
Hey Wayne quick question. I’m about to order p90x2 but through your site they don’t have payment options. How can I still give you credit?
Hey Jesse, thanks for asking, but you can’t. If you want the 3 payments, you have to order directly from the main Beachbody site (not the teamBeachbody coach network).
Since BB pays the coaches a commission at the point of sale, they don’t offer a payment plan option if you order through a coach.
But if you order through the main BB site and get the payment option, you don’t get the reduced shipping or the bonus DVD’s.
So it’s a trade off. Do what’s best for your budget. I wish you could do 3 payments through teambeachbody, but you can’t. Thanks for checking though!

Hey Rafael, there won’t be any “pre-orders” on Tropical Shakeology. Ordering will open on Valentine’s Day and I’ll post links here, so check in that morning and be one of the first to order :-).
