Hey teamRIPPED!

We all know what’s looming next week, right?  International CANDY day … AKA Halloween.  Whether it’s old fashioned trick or treating, or the Christian alternative Fall Festival at church, candy and sweets are EVERYWHERE!

It can be hard to resist sweets and junkfood, and holidays that are centered around it make it even harder.  But make the decision AHEAD of time as to what you will and won’t do, and stick to it.  Don’t just head into your day without a plan, because you will end up making poor choices that undermine your long term goals.

I know my Halloween plans and already have a great strategy.  We will be heading to our church for the Fall Festival, where my older kids will be helping with face painting and crafts.  The younger ones will be playing games, getting candy, etc.  I will have a great time.  But I’m not going to eat sweets.  Is it because I never ever have sweets?  No … in fact I do have cheat meals.  But I don’t like having my cheat meals dictated to me.  I want to be in charge of what and when I eat.  And if I start popping candy at the Fall Festival just cuz I’m there and it’s what everyone else is doing, I’ll soon eat way more than I meant to, and feel quite frustrated with myself for having no will power.

However, if I eat a good dinner, go to the Fall Festival mentally strong, and simply commit to not eating a single treat, I’ll go to bed proud of myself, feeling confident that I’M in control, not my appetite.  I encourage you all to do the same.  Prove it to yourself that cravings, urges, and temptations are NOT going to get the best of you.  You will feel so amazing afterward when you win the battle.  And if you keep winning battles, you eventually win the war.

It’s been a fun week in the teamR1PP3D ’13 Challenge group.  There are some fired up people in our group and I can’t wait to see everyone’s results for 2013 — a whole year of BRINGING IT, teamRIPPED style!

What workout are you doing?  Whatever it is, stick to the schedule and don’t let little excuses creep in and distract you from getting your workouts done.  The key to results is consistency.  If your approach to P90X or Insanity or Body Beast is hit or miss, your results will be mediocre.  If you go all in, giving your utmost effort to the workouts, the nutrition, and the supplements, your results will be worthy of the Hall of Fame.  I’ve seen it time and time again.  You get out of it exactly what you put into it.

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!

2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
