Hey teamRIPPED! First and foremost, if you sent me an email in the wee hours of the morning (3am to 6am) on Thursday morning and haven’t heard back from me, please resend it. The teamRIPPED.com website and the email accounts went down for a 3 hour time period and anything you sent me during that time is lost in cyberspace!! I don’t want any of you to think I’m blowing you off. Luckily not too many people are up and emailing me during those hours, but still I want to be sure I answer everyone who contacts me. And BTW, I always answer emails within 24 hours — usually much faster as I check my email multiple times per day. The exception to that is on Sunday when I take a day off (but I answer those on Monday). So if you email me and don’t hear back within 24 hours, check your spam folder or contact me again. firstname.lastname@example.org
How is your April treating you so far? If you started a workout program for the New Year, then you could very likely be starting your second 90 day round of 2013 right now (either another round of your program or switching things up with a new program). This week I posted 2 articles about hybrid workout programs that might be of use to you as you plan your next round to get you summer-ready. I started a new 90 day hybrid myself this week and I’m excited to mix some Body Beast with some Insanity for a great 1, 2 punch of lifting and cardio.
If you haven’t been sticking with your workouts, you still have time to get a solid 90 day program done before the end of June and be summer-ready for July and August. But don’t delay. Get with the program!!!
With April comes a new offer from Beachbody to save you some money, and it’s on one of my favorite workout programs — INSANITY! I don’t like doing Insanity all by itself since there isn’t any dedicated lift days, but I absolutely LOVE doing Insanity workouts in my hybrid routines because they are cardio killers to the max. If you’ve done a round of P90X and want to really crank up the intensity, try using the P90X lift days with Insanity in place of plyo, yoga, and kenpo. Wow that will shred you in a hurry!
So what’s the April Insanity sale all about? For the month of April, you can get the Insanity Challenge Pack for just $180.
With the Insanity Challenge pack, you get:
You save nearly $100!!
The Insanity challenge pack bundle is usually $205 (which is a $75 savings), but in April you get an additional $25 off and score the whole package for $180.
In other news, I’ve really enjoyed seeing the results of our teamR1PP3D ’13 Challenge members now that we are 3 months into the year. Our motto is “Make ’13 YOUR YEAR” and these folks are doing just that. Check out the progress of Brandie P from our group =
Now that’s some BIG TIME progress! Congrats Brandie on the dedication and commitment you have shown as you transform yourself!

And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!

Have you got a schedule of the Insanity/BB hybrid you're doing? I'm doing something along those lines with my 5-a-side football (soccer) - no rest days and am still feeling good (4 lift days and 3 cardio) - on the 2nd week of a 4 week shredder (around 2000 calories) having finally got round to dialling into the nutrition! Although from Oct 2012 to last month went from 12%BF to 10% so have made some changes and still pressing play!
Am wanting the full 6-8 pack before my 40th in Jan next year!!!!
Hey coach, my strength bands recently broke, and I don't know what to do for Power Legs (for the moves where they are used). In the beginning of the workout, there is that big series where you do some moves with the bands and then you repeat them after without the bands, and I don't know what to do for that part of the workout.
Thanks in advance.
Coach, I'm starting the insanity/asylum vol 1 hybrid that cons with asylum vol 1 and it looks like there are a lot of days were you are doing two full workouts back to back for example day one is strength and pure cardio. Do you think this is to much and I should only choose one of them or go ahead and do them both and just eat more on those days?
So if I read correctly,, just do Beast as scheduled on a deficit to cut up n lose bf? Don't worry bout beast lean?
Great Job Brandie! I remember the first progress photo you posted and the work you've put in has been amazing! Keep it up!
heard good things about beast,, not sure how program is set up,,, is every other day cardio llike other programs.. i still want to lean out,, and keep some hard cardio ,,, is there cardio with beast? how does compare? or can i do straight beast and lose some weight and BF ? it seems like beast is set up to gain and run on surplus?
nice job bran die
YAY @Brandie Pair! Proud of you!
@peterrogers15 Hey Pete, I sure have. Look at the article I posted Tuesday called "Wayne's Beast-Cardio Hybrid". That's what I was referring to in the article above.
@Josh__ Get a new band. Problem solved.
@Dylannewcomer I think you can be ok. It is definitely an advanced workout rotation (even says so on the calendar). Listen to your body and see. You will know if it's too much.
Mike exactly. You can do the lean schedule to pick up an extra day of cardio through the BULK phase. That would never hurt either.
Mike, No Beast is primarily heavy lifting. It can be used to lose weight, when you use a deficit and fat shredder. Check out: www.teamripped.com/body-beast-is-for-losers
D'oh - I did read that article too! Need a bit more sleep me thinks!!!!!
Might be worth sticking it under "My hybrid worksheets/calendars" ;)
Am digging out the mountain bike at the weekend and giving it an overhaul before Spring/Summer season comes into action.
Will then be doing....
Mon - BB Bulk Chest
Tues - Insanity Max ....... (depends on my mood!)
Wed - BB Bulk Back
Thurs - 5-a-side football
Fri - BB Bulk Arms
Sat - BB Bulk Shoulders
Sun - Insanity Max......(will probably substitute this with a Mountain Bike trail)
I have already done the Build phase of BB in the above. I was doing Cardio Abs followed by Ab Ripper X straight after, twice a week, but have changed that to Cardio Abs or Ab Ripper X or BB Beast Abs twice or 3 times a week (when I can fit it in!)
Will try and dig out some before and after photos (Am bound to have some from a year or 2 ago and will get some when on holiday in August.....). Do I email them direct to you?
@peterrogers15 That looks solid. You can always email at firstname.lastname@example.org I would love to see your progress!
