Many of you know that we’ve had TWENTY individual monthly winners in the Beachbody Challenge! They have each scored a cool $1,000 for submitting their results in the contest. I’m really proud of that.
But this week, we had a first! One of our monthly winners, Chris White, moved on as a quarterly winner of the Beachbody Challenge! Huge CONGRATS!!! He scored an additional $5,000 and a trip to L.A. Plus, he’s now in the running for the bigger $25,000 and $100,000 grand prizes!

We are 2 months into 2013, and I know the intensity in the teamR1PP3D ’13 Challenge group is still sky high. We have over 800 members, most of which are really rocking it. I can’t wait for the first batch of 90 day results to start coming in — we are all entering our 3rd month now so only a few more weeks till the first round is in the books. Many Hall of Fame stories will be forthcoming!
I’ve got to admit, this week has not been my best with the workouts. No, I didn’t skip any. No, I didn’t fall off the nutrition wagon. But I just didn’t have my usual edge and focus. It’s frustrating, but it happens to all of us. Do you ever have those days or weeks where you just feel like quitting half way into a workout? Where you struggle and come up a couple reps short of your target on some of the exercises? That was me this week. I don’t know if I’ve got some mild illness that has taken me out of my A game, or if it’s all in my head, but it’s just one of those weeks.
One thing I’ve always remembered though when I have these kinds of days or weeks, is that a crappy workout is still 1000000 times better than no workout! So I ALWAYS show up, and I ALWAYS push play, and I ALWAYS get to the end of the workout even if I am frustrated with myself. Cuz if I do those things, stick to my nutrition, and keep fueling my body the right way, I keep moving forward.
I’m hoping that next week I feel back to my same old self, and I’ll be so proud of the fact that I kept pushing through my lack of motivation this week, whatever the reason — physical or mental.
