Top Coach Celebration!

Wow, this weekend was amazing.  I was in Las Vegas for the big Beachbody Summit meeting.  I got to hang out with many fitness celebrities, like Tony Horton, Shaun T., Sagi Kalev, Chalean Johnson, etc.  It was pretty awesome!

And more importantly, I got to hang out with many of my favorite people in the world — the loyal members of the teamRIPPED coaching family!  It was a memory I won’t forget.

And of course there was the “TOP COACH” celebration, where I was given the super cool TOP COACH belt!  And this was no ordinary belt.  It was PIMPED OUT!  Yes, PIMPED OUT!  Watch the video below to see what I mean.

And in addition to the honor of having Carl Diakeler and company doing this skit for me, they also dressed up like Elvis (along with many of my teamRIPPED coaches), sang and danced for me.  That was incredible!  See it here in this video.

And finally, I got to give a short acceptance speech … or at least try to after being shocked and surprised by all the hoopla.  And yes, I even cried like a baby …..

Oh, and another highlight from the celebration was Shaun T getting his groove on with the Vegas dancers.  Check out these moves!

Thanks to my friend Britt Weber for taking the time and effort to compile these videos to commemorate the occasion.  You rock buddy!

And all of you in my teamRIPPED family ROCK!  I love all of y’all, and this has been an amazing privilege to be part of this special group of people.

God bless!

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your success and wish you many more successes!!!!!!!!!

Very inspiring, CW!!! I remember when I first began p90x.....before I had you as a coach.....it was just another workout thing. You have completely changed my mindset and now I'm filtering that attitude down towards my team. Top Coach couldn't have happened to a better guy. The only thing that could have made it better is if I were there and able to shake your hand in person......my wife and I will be there next year, though! Congrats again, bro!

CW, Congratulations! It is impressive that you are such a wonderful, humble guy. Can I suggest that the next time you hang out with Shawn, maybe you should ask him to show you a few dance steps. :-)

VIVA coach WAYNE!!! that was so cool man! congrats.

Wow!! They really put on a spectale for you eh! That was immense haha. Congrats Wayne, it really is impressive how many lives you have changed for the better with your positivity, consistency and devotion to your team! I hope your success continues for many more seasons as I know of no one better and more deserving! With all that you have achieved personally and for Beachbody, it is awesome to see the effort put in to thank you and commend you. That shows Beachbody is a great company! I really hope that BeachBody takes a good look at the UK and strongly considers replicating the coaching system here. Could you keep us informed if Beachbody ever think of doing that please because I would love to take on that challenge and follow your awesome example! Keep it up bigman,

Thanks Nick! And of course I will keep you post on Beachbody and the UK.

Coach: I just got home and was able to watch all the videos and they were awesome! I want to thank you for being a great inspiration and helping so many other people reach their own goals. You are a great role model on so many levels. Bless you! Best wishes to you and your family. Thank you TeamRipped!!!

Just awesome coach, you really deserve it hope to see you next year :D

hey coach, i was wondering what you're going to be doing next now that you've finished P90X2. Just planning waaaaaay ahead:)

Nathan, right now I have been sampling all the Body Beast workouts (well as many as I can get in!). They are awesome! I am really enjoying it!

This is awesome!!! Way to go and you deserve it!!

Whats up coach congratulations on getting the coach of the year award that's an awesome accomplishment. I know you haven't been my coach for very long but the dealings with you so far and the support and everything i have read about you, I don't think their is anyone who deserves it more than you. Your an awesome person Wayne and i'm very happy to have you as my coach. p.s I'm wrapping up week 3 of p90x and at the end of week 4 i will weigh and check body fat, I haven't been cheating on my diet and I can already see visible results so I'm excited about that and can't wait to jump in to week 5!

Thanks Scotty. And way to go man! Keep it up!

Congrats Coach Wayne!!!! You are truly an amazing inspiration!! Keep up the great work!

Congrats Coach! Youve inspired so many of us. Youve become a celebrity amongst myself and friends. We all are trying to turn our lives around and get inshape!

Ok, thanks coach. That's actually the only reason I was concerned. I've lost 80% (that's a rough estimate) of what I could lose and yet my weight loss is still increasing week over week, rather than slowing! I'll keep bringing it though. Loving X2. Congrats again.

Oh, by abnormal contact I mean I could have obviously just had an encounter with someone who was extremely contagious. I just want to make sure I'm not compromising my immune system at all with the rapid changes I'm making. I would honestly be perfectly happy slowing things down slightly on weight loss to stay healthy.

Hey Coach- Congrasts!!! I totally agree with what you and Eric said about dancing too. :) Two questions- 1) I assume this is true, but want to check. Do you get notifications whenever somebody posts on any article regardless of how old it is? I'd like to post questions in articles most relevant to them, rather than on posts such as this. 2) I've been following your nutrition plan 'to a T' in terms of percentages (~50/30/20), but I started at 1900 and progressed to 2100 then to 2500. I wasn't upping my intake because I was bonking, rather I noticed I lost weight more and more rapidly after increasing! That sounds like a great thing, however I know the maximum recommended amount of weight loss is ~2 lbs/week. When I upped to 2100, I lost 2.5 lbs in a week. Then, I upped to 2500 and lost 3.5 lbs in a week! I probably only have about 7-8 excess lbs to lose before I'm at 7-8% bf too. Basically, my question is if this is healthy. I did get sick for a couple of days and missed two workouts (the only two I've missed in 50 days) in an attempt to recover quicker. I just wonder what your opinion is. I mean losing weight rapidly is a great problem to have. Especially when my numbers are sky-rocketing week over week. I increased from 45s to 50s on balance curls in my second week of strength phase and may even go up again today (today is my 3rd time doing X2 Shoulders and Arms), increased Impossible/Possibles by 150% week over week (along w/ all other pushup/pullup moves), and even hit my head on the ceiling (OUCH!!) doing depth jumps in plyocide for the first time. I feel great, but did get sick for that stint and I HATE getting sick. It could have just been an abnormal contact, but my weight is shedding scary fast for how little I have left to lose. Just thought I would check. Sorry for the ramble and thanks- Derek

Hey Derek, Yes I get updates regardless of the age of the post. So post anywhere you have questions. You weight loss sounds great, and I wouldn't be concerned. It really sounds like you are maximizing your body's response to the program. If you strength is increasing and you are feeling good, I would stay where you are and enjoy the rapids weight loss! As you get really lean, be aware that the fat loss tends to slow. Sounds like you are firing on all 10 cylinders! BRING IT!!

Incredible Coach! Great to be part of your team!! I like how you talk about family values!

Congrats Coach!! A million zillion times over, you deserve this. Thanks for changing all our lifes and helping us achieve our goals.

Congratulations, Coach Wayne! I'm proud to call you and Anita my coaches. I'm thankful to have found coaches who put God first and foremost, who do what you do not for the fortune and fame, but because of the deeper impact you make on our lives. You may feel like your impact on my journey is small, but in reality it's HUGE! I hope to meet you both and thank you in person someday. My God continue to bless you both!

Hey coach, yesterday i did Chest + Back + Balance (for the second time) and i really did push and bring it and brought the intensity but this morning when i woke up i was barely sore. I was just wondering if this is weird. I like feeling sore because it makes me feel like i did well the previous day. I already read the "sore" post and it says if you are not sore the next day it doesn't mean you're not making gains or that you had a bad workout but it just seems odd to me because it was only the second time doing it. Thanks!

Josh, don't worry about. You are probably doing it all right. Warm up, cool down, rumble roller. Your body is staying on top of recovery, which is a good thing! Keep pushing and BRING IT!!

I was going to ask the SAME EXACT question about http://www.leangains.com/ and it has already been answered... WEIRD! LOL... Thanks Earnest for asking, and thank you once again for your rapid response, Coach Wayne!

I had a blast dressing up like Elvis for you coach! I am so proud of you and what you have accomplished! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my mentor and my friend!

Awesome stuff coach! Thanks for being an inspiration to us all, you played such a strong role for myself in helping me finally commit to P90X, after actually owning the program for 5 years! Now I'm healthier, stronger, way more disciplined, and now starting to coach others as well. May the Lord bless you and your family!

Hey, coach! Don’t know if anyone has ever asked about this but what’s your opinion on intermitent fasting? I found an interesting site trainer who talks about it and wanted to know your opinion. http://www.leangains.com/2010/04/leangains-guide.html If you want to answer me in an email so you can write more (I’m talking about space) I don’t mind. Thanks in advance.

Ernest, I have actually heard of it. I have never done intermittent fasting though. I have done exactly what I've laid out here, and I would say it has worked well! That's not to say you can't experiment. If you want to try waiting until lunch every day to eat and stopping by 8, go for it!! I just have had such great success with process put out by P90X and Beachbody that I don't feel a need to change it.

Looked like a blast! Well deserved for sure coach.

Two things: (1) I was honored to tell my PS coach sitting next to me that "that's my coach, and he's awesome" while you were giving your speech, which was perfect; and (2) You looked about as comfortable with all the dancing as I would have!!!! I was thinking the whole time "I would have died if they made me dance in front of 5,000 people... then I looked at you, and I could tell you were of the same mind (not to knock your moves, bro!)!! Congrats buddy, and it was great to see you last weekend. We're all very proud and honored to have you leading us!

LOL Eric was it that obvious that I haven't danced since my wedding! Yeah, that was WAY WAY WAY outside my comfort zone. But heck, that's what makes it fun, right?? :-)

I'm so happy for you and to be apart of this team great job coach!

Congradulations, coach! I really like how humble you are and how much effort you put in helping us transform our lives. I don't post a lot in here but know that I'm one of the thousands you've touched. I'm one of your "unofficials". I hope you continue to search for God in your life and also hope He blesses you with your new child, knowing that he is special. Hope you're well.

Congrats to a person worthy of the honor! You are a true inspiration to us all! Keep bringing it Coach Wayne!

Way to go Coach Wayne. You deserve it

You're the man, CW. Thanks for being an awesome coach.

Had me laughing a couple times and smiling like an idiot lol. You definitely deserved it.

You absolutely earned it, Coach. Without you, I'd still be doing the P90X portion plan and complaining about my results. You always answer our questions, and you're always happy to do so. Way to go, Coach W :)

great job coach, looks like a blast, you deserve it.
