Strawberry Shakeology! That’s right a NEW Shakeology flavor.
I am all for more options when it comes to the flavors of Shakeology available. There are so many Shakeology recipes that anyone can find a way to make it that they will truly enjoy. I have a couple personal recipes using Chocolate and Vanilla that are my go-to options. Adding another good base flavor makes a huge difference as to what taste options you can make.
That’s why the NEW Strawberry Shakeology is exciting! It’s a new place to start as you build your favorite Shakeology recipes.
Honestly, I’d drink Shakeology no matter what it tasted like, because taste isn’t the reason I use it. I use it because it gives my body over 70 super foods from around the world in one complete, nutritionally dense dose. It’s the cornerstone of my healthy nutrition plan to fuel my body. Even if it were disgusting, I’d chug it down once a day just because I know I’d never get those nutrients any other way. But the fact that it also tastes amazing and is something I crave is just the icing on the cake!
The NEW Strawberry Shakeology
Strawberry Shakeology will be a whey based Shakeology. There are also 2 vegan flavors (not whey based) — Vegan Chocolate and Vegan Tropical. This new Strawberry flavor reminds me a lot of the vegan Tropical, but with some flavor improvement and a smoother, richer taste and feel.
I got to sample it ahead of the release and it was really good. It’s a great strawberry taste and will be really easy to use in tasty recipes. For me, Vanilla and Chocolate are still my favorite, but I know that this is going to hit the spot for a lot of people. I made it with almond milk, ice, and frozen strawberry chunks and my kids all thought it tasted like strawberry ice cream.
The amazing superfood blend will be the same as the other versions of Shakeology but the flavor base is strawberry. The protein being whey based gives it a really smooth texture like all the whey Shakeology flavors (Chocolate, Vanilla, and Greenberry).
Recipe cards for the new Strawberry Shakeology will be included in any order but aren’t available online yet. With it being similar to Tropical Shakeology, a good place to start and think about what you can do with Strawberry Shakeology is to look at the Tropical Recipes.
Tropical Vegan Shakeology vs. the NEW Strawberry Shakeology
There are a lot of similarities between the vegan Tropical and the new Strawberry Shakeology. The new whey-based Strawberry Shakeology is a lot smoother than the vegan option. The protein source plays a big role in how a shake tastes and feels. This is a great addition to the Shakeology line-up.
The new Strawberry is a straight strawberry taste. Tropical Shakeology has strawberries as a large part of its taste, but there are other fruits adding to the flavor as well. The new Strawberry being solely strawberry will make it really easy to mix and customize with recipes.
