We are inching closer to the big release of P90X2, and I haven’t talked about it in at least a couple weeks so I simply must (since it’s always on my mind LOL). There are 2 weeks left to pre-order P90X2 if you want to take advantage of the free shipping and the guarantee that you will receive it before New Year’s. I can’t wait to kick of 2012 with the most amazing workout program ever! :-)
If y’all thought P90X has revolutionized the home fitness world, you haven’t seen anything yet! P90x2 is going to blow the roof off your fitness, your athleticism, your physique, and what you thought was possible. 2012 is going to be a very exciting year indeed!
P90X started off as an infomercial-based home fitness program, but eventually it became a worldwide phenomenon. Now college and pro athletes commonly use P90X as part of their off-season strength and conditioning programs. That’s how revolutionary P90X still is … and it’s 8 years old!
Beachbody, Tony Horton, and company have learned a lot in the last 8 years. They already had a product that was better than the rest, but they wanted MORE. MUCH MORE! P90X2 is exactly that. These workouts, which I got to be part of, are something unlike anything you’ve done before. There is more research, more expert consultation, more science, and more understanding of human physiology behind this program than anything we’ve seen before … both in home workouts as well as in professional athletic training programs. Simply put, P90X2 is the new standard.
Pro athletes are already clamoring to be part of the initial launch. They know how good this is going to be. The word of mouth alone has caused quite a buzz. Beachbody hasn’t even planned an infomercial yet for P90X2, and yet it looks like it will be the biggest launch of a single product in the company’s history.
So in honor of the new standard in home fitness …. heck, let’s call it what it is … the new standard in FITNESS, PERIOD … I’d like to share some cool video clips with you.
This first one is Tony Horton talking about the difference between P90X vs P90X2 (2:38) =
This next one is a compilation of all the P90X2 workout clips (for each of the workouts) all put together into one video by none other than our video expert, Tyler Robbins (thanks buddy for sharing this!) =
If you are a little nervous after watching some of those moves, GOOD! I was nervous as heck myself when I was on stage with Tony trying to do the PAP Upper Workout for the video. And I can attest that these workouts will challenge us, push us, and make us elite!
I’m excited not only about how scientifically advanced these workouts are, but how complete the program will be. The nutrition guide will be on a whole new level, utilizing the most recent research about how to FUEL our bodies for performance. The supplements, like the new Tropical Shakeology, will fit into any diet (including a strict vegan diet). Beachbody realized that with P90X and their other workout programs they have unleashed our inner-athletes, our inner-bodybuilders, our inner-competitors, and our inner-champions. We now crave the best of everything. The best nutrition — not just a plan. The best supplements — not just a meal replacement. The best total body workout program — not just exercise. And P90X2 delivers!
If you haven’t ordered your set yet, there are some different options. You can look through the links below and see the different kits available for P90X2, depending on your budget and the equipment you may have or need =
In January, we will launch a P90X2 challenge for everyone who wants to join us. I don’t know what the specifics will be — it depends on how many people we will have. I suspect it will be HUGE! :-)
After our Insanity Asylum Challenge, we turned out results that landed several of our teamRIPPED Asylum Legends in the new Asylum Infomercial. I highly suspect we will do the same with P90X2. They won’t put out an infomercial until they have some jaw dropping results to highlight in it. I know exactly what team will provide them what they want!!!! :-)
Are y’all ready?? I am more than ready. I can’t wait. Bring on the Deuce!!
Hey Jimmie, you don't just stretch and rest. You are supposed to do yoga 3x on recovery week. And if your goal is to lose body fat, P90X2 will definitely make that happen, but there is more to losing body fat than just burning calories. It's a total concept of building strength, balance, explosiveness, and fitness. The fat loss will easily come if you stick to that plan and stay 100% dialed in to the nutrition plan. Trust the plan!
Hey coach, I am anxioulsy awaiting my pre order of P90X2 Just saw P90x2 on Amazon and it says the release date is 12/15. 1 more week to "get ready...cause it's coming." Jerry
It does say that today is the last day for pre orders and free shipping. It also says they will start shipping in 18hrs also Tony will deliver the 1st copy on Dec 1st I hope he has my work address cause I'll be at work all day tomorrow :)
The Beachbody site (as of Nov. 30, 12 noon So. Cal. time) has a countdown timer that says we ship P90X2 in 20 hours...and counting down.
Hey Carlo, I know that pre-orders end November 30th, but I'm not 100% certain that they will begin shipping immediately. BB has said they will start shipping them based on first come/first serve (depending on who pre-ordered first) immediately AFTER Tony Horton hand delivers the first copy. I don't know logistically when Tony will hand deliver the first copy, but that will be the trigger that they will start shipping, so keep a lookout!
Hey Doitbig, the early pre-orders are guaranteed by Christmas, but the later pre-orders should get delivered in early January. No exact date, but from BB the word is "early January". They will start with the first orders and start shipping them out as fast as they can, first come / first served basis. Luckily most of the teamRIPPED members who were staying plugged in to the release date should get the first copies since we were on their system placing orders before they even went live LOL! We were ON IT!
Hey Jay, the early pre-orders are guaranteed by Christmas, but the later pre-orders should get delivered in early January. With the recent pre-order you made, it will simply depend on how much demand there was as to if you get in the first batch sent out or not. I hope so!!
Hey JJ, I don't know anyone who has done their program. I know they advertise to get their videos rated high on YouTube and Google when people search for P90X in order to get some exposure for their system, but I know nothing more than that about how well it works.
Hey Coach, I pre-ordered P90X2 through you on the first day of pre-ordering. Do you know the estimated time of arrival? I thought you said it ships on December 1st. Just wondering because I'm ready to start! Thanks!
Hey Cody, yours will be in the first batch that ships out, but it's not December 1st. It never was December 1st. BB has always said the first batch will arrive BEFORE Christmas, so it should start shipping in the next couple weeks to be sure that happens. They will officially start shipping immediately after Tony Horton hand delivers the first P90X2 kit to whoever the lucky winner is (everyone who pre-ordered is entered in a drawing to have Tony H. deliver their kit in person). I can't wait either! I feel you man!!!
Coach you telling me that being the man, being the #1 Coach in the US, coming out in the dvd wont get you an advance copy of the workout?? Im pretty sure you could pull some strings and get them to send your copy and the rest of team ripped copy now!!
Hey JJ! No news any newer than this update! I'll certainly be posting again as the shipments begin in December. Can't wait to get mine!
Hey coach, I was just curious if you had heard anything about there being a pre program fitness test that comes with the P90X2 to ensure you are ready to complete the program? Thank You.
Hey Adrian, I assume they will have a fit test for the purposes of being able to monitor your athletic improvements from start to finish. But the way to ensure you are ready to tackle X2 is to first complete P90X. If you get through P90X, you are ready!
Hey Brandon, you may not have read the article above, but Tony Horton himself explains it better on video than I can in a written response. So watch the video in the article above ("Tony Horton explains the difference between P90X and P90X2"). Hope that helps!
I guess your right, Just call it what it is, Keep it simple, Right? Sounds good to me... Have a great night.
Hey Coach Wyne, I hope all is going well with you. So, I thought of a few more questions I could ask while I'm waiting for my P90X2 to show up. Given all the talk about the new P90X2 program,I had the following question. If two people were starting P90X and P90X2 at a similar point, i.e. a little over weight and a bit out of shape, and assuming that both people were on top of their diet and 100% commited to their repective programs, would both people get similar results or would the individual doing the P90X2 program get better results? Also, given all the science and all new workouts in the P90X2, would it be a good idea to stick with just the P90X2 or would you still recommend the insanity hybrid workout? My biggest thing is I'm looking for MAX results for the amount of commitment I'm going to put forth and I just want the best way to get there. Thanks Coach
Hey Adrian, good questions. I can't say for sure since we don't have side by side comparisons of results, but from what I know about the science behind P90X2, I would be very confident to say that the person doing P90X2 will have better physical results, in addition to being more athletic overall. I would advise doing just P90X2 and not a X2 hybrid, at least this first round. The cardio will be a good bit harder and more advanced than P90X so you'll like it. Plus the resistance workouts will be nuts!
Hmmm...what about "teamRIPPED HARDER" challenge? Something about "ripped harder." "teamRIPPED HARDER P90X2 challenge" or the other way around: "P90X2 challenge: RIPPED HARDER" I figured I wouldn't remember that by the time you opened it for ideas, so I thought I'd just post it now. :)
Oh! and I forgot, the question asked about weighted bars.I saw them at a place here called "Ackit" It's a private fitness store that sells all kinds of fitness equipment. So maybe so any Fitness depote should have them, I would think. Hope this helps.
I'm also chomping at the bit for the P90X2 "MOVEMENT!" "Changing the faces of this planet" Thanks, love the preshow So stoked!!! Did you here Rachel went a head and surprised ordered it for me, I'm so happy Coach you can't beleive it thanks for all help..... Oh and one Question, What's are new name for this P90X2 challange? Just wondering.Or have you thought this far?
Awesome Craig! I haven't thought of a name other than "teamRIPPED P90X2 Challenge" LOL. I guess I'll have to open it up to ideas as we get closer!
hey coach wayne quick q. during shoulders and arms .while doing curls i cant lift much because it feels like my forearms get more pump than my biceps.it feels like my biceps dont get a workout at all. any tips? also my forearms hurt while curling.
Hey Johnathan, it sounds like your forearms are the "weak link" in the chain right now. All you can do is push your hardest on all exercises and as your forearms get stronger, you will be able to work the biceps more by being able to hold heavier weights. There are alternatives, like using straps to help you hold the dumbbell but I would not reccomend them at this point. It will only perpetuate the lack of forearm strength.
coach, little worried about those v pull ups. i still struggle, def got better. but i struggle with corn cob . still need the chair. ill bring it. but as tony says, i still presently struggle with pullups.. tell me ill be ok? will there be a nurtrion plan requirement for challenge, shredder or bulk, i also sent in pics to bbody. thanks
Hey Mike, do your best and forget the rest! P90X2 will have a totally revamped nutrition plan so I'll be experimenting with that during the challenge.
Wayne, I just requested a coach switch (actually and add I've never had a coach). I'm going to be purchasing P90X2 sometime in the next couple of weeks and felt it was a good way to thank you for all your hard work. I've been lurking on your site for awhile :) I look forward to the P90X2 challenge! One question I am on a real tight budget so shakeology isn't an option for me right now (I don't even drink $1 cups of coffee to exchange for the price of it.. lol), are you going to require that during the P90X2 challenge group? as I would really like to partipate via private facebook pages you setup.
Hey Doug! Welcome to the team! I won't be requiring Shakeology for the P90X2 challenge. The only requirement I'll have (other than heart and desire) will be that you own or have access to P90X2 (obviously). So you can definitely join us!
My hybrid is set to end around the second week of December, I will probably extend it by two weeks, just repeating a week of CB-Insanity-SA-Insanity-LB-Yoga and a week of CST-Insanity-BB-Insanity-LB-Yoga followed by a recovery week of Core Syn, Core Cardio and Balance and Yoga mixed
Nevermind Coach, i just watched the video's above those workouts are super all around Insane for bulking & shredding....
Im Super Fired up on the X2 right after XMas i cannot wait Coach! im on my asylum workout into the 2nd week currently, i put on a few pounds after my bulking round, now its time to shredd and lower my body fat back down to 5%. Question: Coach will The X2 be great for bulking & shredding on a 5 days a week workout routine, which will it work better for?
finishing my hybrid, early december. will modifiy some insanity and p90x for a few more weeks and be ready for the deuce. fired up, this will be my first challenge. lets gooooo...
I'm just counting down the days right now. I just can't wait for the day 1 of P90X2 Challenge, which will be soooooo amazing!!!! I can't wait to be a part of it. Congrats again to Coach Wayne for being in it!!! If you haven't ordered it yet, make sure you get it while you have the chance. Wayne, I am currently doing doubles most days of the week, in a Insanity/P90X hyrbrid. I am taking on Asylum for the last month of this year and want to know if you think I can double up some days with P90X for strength training? Or should I use it as a stand alone program??
Hey Jason, you can do doubles with Asylum and see how you hold up. That way you can keep some lift days in the rotation. I bet you will do fine.
Ok wait i just saw the X2 recovery week, and im using p90x2 as a cutting phase. In that recovery week all i do is stretching and rest, will i still burn 1 pound of fat that week??
