As you all know from my transformation, P90X, Insanity, and Shakeology can do amazing things, even for someone who’s been relatively sedentary for 14 years. But what about someone who’s been relatively sedentary for 40 years! That’s my dad! He had seen the change in my life as I went from fat to ripped, and then he got some “less than ideal” results on his lab work from the doctor. He knew it was time for a drastic change or he’d be headed for big-time health trouble! So he came to me and said, “I’m in!”.
We started him on Shakeology, worked on his nutrition, and got him moving with the Shakeology workouts (which come with the Home Direct order). Dad has been faithful, consistent, and committed to following the plan. And now, just 2 months later, he’s lost over 30 pounds and is fitting into jeans that have been in the back of his closet for years … maybe decades!
I asked him to write a review of Shakeology, telling us what he’s thought of it so far. And wouldn’t you know, he’s so enamored with it that he felt it deserved a poem! LOL!
So here it is, “Ode To Shakeology” by Coach Donald (my dad!):
Ode to Shakeology
I have tried to lose some weight from time to time,
Working hard to shed a nickel or a dime,
Now I need to shed some quarters,
So I’m heeding coach’s orders,
Daily “Shakes” are helping me back to my prime.
Now I rarely feel those hunger pangs I’m used to,
Makes it easier to do what now I must do,
No more craving salt and sweets,
No more cheating eating treats,
As my body works returning to its “like new”.
Yes, Shakeology tastes good and makes me healthy,
Helps me shun bad eating habits, snacking stealthy,
Like I’ve often heard it said,
And I’ve often also read,
With just health and love, we all are truly wealthy.
