With the 4th of July, the United States’ Independence Day, right around the corner thought it might be a good idea to highlight some great American products from some great American companies. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against any country or people group.  We are all God’s people and we are all made in His image.  But since it’s the celebration of our country’s independence, I thought I’d give y’all some insight on some awesome workout gear and supplements from right here at home.

Y’all know me. From day one I’ve always given you my honest opinion. If I feel something will help you, I’ll tell you about it. I think something’s going to be a waste of your money, a tell you about that too. You work hard for your money so you really want to do your research and make sure what you buy is worth it.

To start waving your miniature US flags and get ready to chant “USA, USA, USA!” Here are just a few of my top choices for gear that can be stamped, MADE IN AMERICA.

Rogue Fitness

I believe almost all of Rogue’s gear is made in the USA. Each product page should carry a made in the USA logo under the product title if it is indeed made in the US.

My experience with Rogue Fitness has been great. I have their P-3 Pull-Up System. It is simply bulletproof. Designed to be anchored into studs or joists, when this thing is locked down it’s not going anywhere! The P-3 System comes with two brackets that hold the bar 24 inches off the wall (you can also mount it on a ceiling) and a 52 inch pull-up bar.

When on the wall, I was not able to do full levers. Facing out from the wall, I was still able to do crunchy levers and all other variations. One of the cool things about the system is you can link multiple units together to create a multi-person pull-up station.

Rogue actually makes CrossFit equipment… shhhh don’t tell anyone ;-) Everything I have and have seen is the highest quality. If you want some of the best gear, that is made in the USA, Rogue won’t disappoint.

PowerBlocks

Good old PowerBlocks are made in the USA! So if you are looking for a set of adjustable dumbbells that were made in America, look no further than PowerBlocks (LOL there are other options too).  My big rack of dumbbells 5-100 lbs is TVX from China.  But more on that in my weekend update.  This is a USA post :-)

Although PowerBlocks may not be my favorite for adjustable dumbbells, they are still awesome dumbbells. Very compact, well-made, and extremely expandable. If you are looking for an extremely affordable way to get a lot of weight, PowerBlocks are great answer.

PowerBlock also carries other gear than dumbbells. The bench Beachbody sells for Body Beast is actually a PowerBlock bench. It’s their SportBeach and is a 5 position bench with a 550 lb capacity. If you go directly to the PowerBlock site I found that you can get attachments for the bench as well (a dip station and pull up bar).

Quest Bars

If you haven’t tried a Quest Bar, you are missing out! I still prefer Pure Protein bars as they are so affordable, but Quest wins the made in the USA award!

Tons of protein and almost just as much fiber, these bars make it really easy to hit a fiber goal. Their ingredients are pretty solid as well. Whey proteins, all natural almond and peanut butter, whole nuts, Stevia, etc. They simply taste great!
You can pick them up at your local GNC or order them from many places online. Buying in bulk is a good way to save some money too.

Dymatize ISO 100

Dymatize ISO 100 has been my go-to whey protein for a while. Little did I even know that it was made and manufactured in the USA! Even better!

What I like about ISO 100 is that it’s 100% Hydrolyzed whey isolate. Its nutritional facts are awesome. It’s almost entirely protein (24g of every 28g scoop is protein) and has only 1 g of carbs. Other tastier proteins out there? Sure, but not with better nutritional facts. It’s extremely mixable and is almost completely lactose-free.

USA, USA, USA!

Are you still chanting? LOL! I’m not affiliated with any of these products or companies. They are just GREAT products that are made in the USA. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of your country. This is a special week to take a little extra time to be thankful for the United States.

Beachbody

Oh, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention a little old company named Beachbody, which was born and bred right here in California, USA. You may have heard of P90X, Insanity, Body Beast, Combat, Pump, Chalean Extreme, Turbo Fire, Asylum, T25, Shakeology, and on and on.  Yeah, I think pretty highly of that company :-)

Have fun on the 4th and be sure to plan for any parties or picnics you may attention. You can still have tons of fun, but there is no reason to be “caught” off guard. Track your food and hit those macro goals!
