I hope y’all have an awesome Memorial Day! Enjoy the time off. Spend time with you family and have fun!

Get a tough workout in, track your nutrition and work in some treats, but stay on course :-)

BUT DON’T MISS IT! The real reason for this holiday… the fact that countless men and women have given their lives to protect your freedom and and so many around the world. If you have friends or family that have lost loved ones in service to this country, give them a call and tell them you are thinking of them today. Let them know that you are so thankful for the sacrifice that their family loved on gave.

As we did last year, continue to pray for peace around the world… that no one else, anywhere, will have to lose their life!

P.S. – If you want a tough workout, I recently saw one for Memorial Day called “MURPH.” It is a workout in honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. His story is shown in the movie Lone Survivor. This was one of his favorite workouts!

MURPH – With a 20# Vest

  • 1 Mile Run
  • 100 Pull Ups
  • 200 Push Ups
  • 300 Squats
  • 1 Mile Run

You can go right through, or break them up into rounds of 10 pull ups, 20 push ups, and 30 squats for 10 complete rounds. Modify as you need too! I have never done this one but I know it is TOUGH!
