Do you ever feel like you get stuck in a rut with your meal planning? Need new ideas and want those meals to fit your macros? Well there is a really cool site that I just heard about: EatThisMuch.com! Thanks to teamRIPPED coaches Lance Lyell and Chris Coburn! I picked this up from those guys first and knew I had to pass it on to y’all!

EatThisMuch.com is a site that meal plans for you. Right from the home page, you can set a calorie goal and how many meals you want to have in your day. Click GENERATE and away it’ll go! It produces a full day’s meals to that calorie goal and even a macro range that you can modify.

There are two plans: a FREE plan (that they say is great for just messing around with the site) and a more serious plan. The PAID plan is only $7/mo with an annual subscription or $9/mo if you go month to month. Not too bad at all! I would suggest playing around with the site and then seeing if you think it’s a tool you will use. There is even a 14 day trail of the PAID plan.

Using EatThisMuch

If you are just going to try it out, go to EatThisMuch.com and follow the front page instructions. Just enter your calorie goal (find your calorie target with my Calorie Calculator) and then select how many MEALS you want you day broken into. Click GENERATE and you will have a full meal plan.

What is AWESOME is that you get a full breakdown of each meal (macros and even estimated cost!) and then there are recipe pages for the meals too!

You also see a REFRESH button at each meal. Don’t like what you see? Hit the blue refresh arrows and EatThisMuch will generate another meal. Pretty awesome!

Tweaking EatThisMuch’s Macros

Now I have only played around EatThisMuch a little bit… but the first thing I noticed was that on the right sidebar their was a section to customize your macros. You set acceptable ranges for your macros. This may not be as exact as using exactly 50% protein but it will be really realistic for most people. Say to want to make sure you are getting 225g of protein, set that as you lower limit and go. Then set an upper and lower for fat and carbs will fill in the remainder. It let’s you know if you ranges are unrealistic for hitting your calorie goal too.

For example, if you want to really dial it in. If you are on 2000 Fat Shredder, that would be 250g protein, 150g of carbs, and 44g fat. Set your ranges really tight around there and see what EatThisMuch.com plans for you!

If you want to do a little math to find the grams of P/C/F for your macros and calorie goal, remember that protein and carbs are each 4 calories per gram and fat is 9 calories per gram. (Example – 2400 and 40% protein – 40% 0f 2400 is 960 calories… 960/4 = 240g of protein)

You can also set your goals up for EXACT macros. Just click AS A PERCENT OF CALORIES.

Definitely Check Out EatThisMuch!

I would definitely check out Eat This Much. Play around with the free account. I think I am going to do the 14 day trial and a month just to see what kind of customization it can really do.
