Hey teamRIPPED!! How is everyone doing this week?
I’m having a total blast! I’ve spent the past couple weeks sampling the Body Beast workouts in preparation for our teamRIPPED BEASTS Challenge, which started Monday. Sagi — The BEAST himself — has been part of our private FB group, and it’s been absolutely AWESOME to have the Beast in our group, motivating us and excited for our progress and results. That fires me up like you wouldn’t believe! A special shout out and thanks to the man, Sagi Kalev — you are a CLASS ACT, a genuine leader, and I can’t wait for our teamRIPPED BEASTS to make you proud in 90 days! BEAST UP!
And while I’m talking about Body Beast, I’ve got to say, these workouts ROCK! Sagi knows his stuff, and the methods behind the way he structures the workouts are designed with one thing in mind — build muscle! Once I’ve had more time on the supplements and learning about the nutrition plan, I’ll put together a comprehensive Beast review for y’all. I’ve also got links to the different Beast programs / stacks / supplements / equipment if you’d like to know more. Just CLICK HERE TO BEAST UP!! And I’ve also got free downloads of the Beast workout Calendars and Worksheets in the “Free Downloads” section so help yourself!
Vegan Chocolate Shakeology is now available. You don’t have to do anything different to order it. Just click the “Shakeology” — “Buy Shakeology” tab above and you’ll see Vegan Chocolate as one of the options. Here’s a direct link = BUY SHAKEOLOGY. If you already have a Shakeology Home Direct order and want to change it to the vegan flavor, just call 1-800-240-0913 and they can help you with the switch.
I drank Vegan Chocolate while at the Summit meeting last week, and it tasted pretty much exactly like the regular Chocolate Shakeology I’m used to. If I were doing a taste test with both the vegan and the regular, side by side, I’m sure I could find some subtle differences, but without the regular there to compare it to, I would have totally thought I was drinking the exact same Shakeology I’ve been drinking for 2 years. So if you are wondering about taste / texture, there isn’t much difference. There is, however, the benefit of the all vegan formulation for those wanting to avoid whey / dairy / animal based proteins in your diet.
I added links for a skin care line called Derm Exclusive. It’s a product that has been owned by Beachbody for some time, but wasn’t part of their teambeachbody catalog until now. Many people are looking for high quality skin care products, especially after losing weight or transforming their body, and the Derm Exclusive brand now gives us a way to do that at a great price since it’s available at discounted rates through the teambeachbody network. I’m definitely no expert on skin care products (LOL), but if you’d like to know more, it’s linked in the “Supplements” tab (I wasn’t sure where else to link it LOL).
And finally, if you didn’t see my article from yesterday, Beachbody is offering FREE TRIALS of P90X, Turbo Fire, Brazil Butt Lift, and Shakeology for the month of July!! It’s an awesome opportunity to either try them yourself or tell your friends about it if they haven’t tried it yet and aren’t sure if it’s worth the investment. Now they can try it for free and see! Click here to read about the FREE TRIAL OFFERS!
I hope everyone has a very happy and blessed 4th of July! Be safe. Be good. Eat smart. HAVE FUN!
God bless the USA, and God bless teamRIPPED nation! :-)
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
So I started a new job a month ago and I have three people doing p90x now... One of them is my dad... I didnt think that I would make a good coach but I seem to be handling the ok... I suprised myself... Today doing pullups I had my shirt off and my dadwas very impressed with how strong my back is... I was laughing pretty good
Hey Coach.. Has Shakeology changed their packaging? It still tastes great but my new package looks slightly darker and also the ziplock is not working, so i have to use rubberbands.
Brian, I don't believe so. I use an empty protein tub to transfer and store my Shakeology. Keeps it air tight and is really easy.
What's up coach Wayne I have my stat update, tomorrow is the beginning of week 5. So here it is I started off 5 weeks ago at 245 lbs and 21.12% body fat and now I'm 223 lbs and 14.09% body fat! That's a big step in the right direction and I'm pumped and ready to tackle this next phase! I want to thank you for your inspiration you really help keep me motivated it helps getting the emails of encouragement and this website that's full of knowledge and motivating articles. Can't wait till day 90 not to quit or pause but to continue on a new way of life. Thanks again coach!
Coach does the Beast program come with any leg workouts? I really dont want to have a nice upper body and chicken legs.
Adrian, Body Beast has AWESOME leg workouts! No more chicken legs at all. It has two dedicated legs routines.
Hey Coach.. how would you compare beast legs to p90x legs and back, and also how would you compare beast legs to bulk legs.
Brain, All of the Beast's leg work is completely different than P90X Legs and Back. The Beast is working with much heavier weights and lower reps. P90X L/B was great for muscular endurance, the Beast's leg workouts are for size and mass. They are still big time heart pumpers though! You'll sweat with the Beast. "No more Chicken Legs!"
Jordan, I've done all the build in bulk workouts but not the tempo workouts. I've only had the program for a week! For a coach it's only $15 too. BEAST UP!
Wayne, What do you know about the tempo dvds that didn't come with the base package? I know they are available for about $20 extra but I was wondering if you knew the details of them. Happy Fourth!
Hey Coach, Congrats on getting the Coach of The Year Award. I knew I picked the right coach. So im on my third week Of p90x, and I have to say that Im starting to have a good time lol. I havent cheated on my diet and its paying off, at least thats what my wife says. Shes my eyes since I cant see very well. I have a quick question... When you were on your first round, did you ever experience excessive yawning during your workouts? I notice that I start yawning a lot when doing cardio. I mostly workout in the evening around 4 pm but sometimes I workout in the mornings at 7 am. Just wondering if you experienced this. It could be a way of my body getting more oxygen into the blood stream but ive also heard it could be an undiagnosed heart problem. Probably jus freakin myself out though since I am a nurse and we think of the worst lol. Anyways, things are goin great. Today was my third day into week three, and Ive lost 8-10 pounds and reduced my bf% by 5% (this measurment was done a few days ago so it could be more than 5%). Thanks in advance- David Smith LVN,CPT
Thanks Dave! Way to go too! No I am not sure about your yawning... maybe ask a doctor friend. Happy 4th! :)
Hey Coach, I have gone from 217 to 195 pounds, and I am at the end of my 90 days. I am very happy with my results from P90X. I know you say get rid of the fat first before going for building, and I know I have another 10-15 pounds to get rid off. Having said that, I want to jump back in to another program should it be P90X, or can I do Body beast, and if Body Beast, can I order in time to join you guys? Thanks, Eric AKA ProjectZeus
Hey Eric, you can definitely join us. It's not at all too late. If you decide to do the Beast, losing that last bit will all be about your diet (just like P90X). The Beast workouts really get your HR going so burning calories won't be a concern. Either would be fine options, the Beast just has the perk of a really great challenge group right now.
Hey coach I added Josh Moses to the TeamRIPPED BEAST if your wondering who he is. Its my cuzin from canada :)
lol as much as i want to avoid it i guess ill have to do a round of beast with a fat shredder and then when i drop the fat ill do another round but with with a bulk (50c,30p,20f) diet...Thanks coach :)
coach i dont know what to do. Im 6'4'' Im at 20 body fat. I dont wanna do the lean version. I wanna do the beast version but i dont know what should be my nutrition plan. Fat shredder with deficit, Fat shredder with surplus calories...etc. Would i still make gains in size and strength if i do the beast schedule with a fat shredder diet? Sorry for the 20 questions lol
Rafael, the only real difference between the LEAN and BEAST is an extra week from the Bulk to Beat phase. You could definitely do the Beast with a deficit. You will make strength gains but not really size gains. You need that surplus to grow, but you will look way ripped when you drop that fat.
Coach! I won't be getting my BEAST Stack til the ending of this week.. I was wondering exactly how were you taking your stack.. measurements/time taking it/etc! Thanx coach!
Hey BJ, I'm using my Body Beast supplements like they indicate in the guidebook, which is immediately after the workout (the base shake, fuel shot, suma, and creatine all together in a shake). The nice thing about the Body Beast supplement plan is it's simple and easy. Load it up right after the workout when your body is primed to absorb it. Then focus on nutrition throughout the rest of the day.
I love P90X, and P90X2. Tony Horton is the best, having said that I gave insanity a shot and I didn't like Shaun T. Instead of getting motivated I got discouraged. Where would you put Sagi Kalev, more like a Tony or more of a Shaun? I know everybody is unique but I'd like to know before I purchase bodybeast.
Carlos, Sagi is a great trainer. Very encouraging and funny too. Gives his cast members a hard time. Shows proper form and points out keys to success in each disc. I have really liked him!
I ordered the Choc Vegan Shakeology and had my 1st shake this morning - tastes fantastic! I didn't notice any chalkiness (like the Tropical). The only thing I noticed is my shake might be a little lighter in color with the Vegan. Great flavor, great stuff!
Hey Coach, Im going to order Body Beast next week, will i still be able to do the challenge(albeit a little late)? thanks man
