Hey teamRIPPED!!
I am leaving today to head to Las Vegas for the monster Beachbody Summit meeting, which will run through the weekend. I will keep everyone updated on the latest news that is released about programs like Body Beast, etc. so be sure you are plugged in with me! The links went live yesterday on 3 Body Beast workout program packages, as well as the Body Beast supplements, so be sure you check out the article I posted about it. But as I learn more details about the specifics of the program and supplements, I will keep y’all updated.
I will tweet new info as I learn it on my Twitter page so if you aren’t following me yet, CLICK HERE. I’ve been tweeting more lately so this is my perfect chance to take my Twitter game to the next level LOL!
And I will also post updates on our teamRIPPED facebook page, so be sure you “Like” us there to stay updated! CLICK HERE for that FB page if you haven’t ever “liked” it before.
At the Summit, I will get the honor of being crowned “TOP COACH 2012″, so that will be awesome! They really play it up, giving the winner a big Championship belt and putting on a big show for it. I’ll post pics! Josh Spencer won it last year, and he was my coach, so I’m glad to keep it “in the family”!
Even though I’ll be traveling, I already have some blogs set to post, and I’ll be checking in and answering comments and questions, so don’t even think about slacking off gang! I, for one, will be Bringing It in some awesome group workouts with folks like Tony Horton and Shaun T. Can’t wait!
And before I let you go, I just have to pass on the coolest story I got via email from one of our teamRIPPED Hall of Famers, Jason Worthy. Check this out!!!
Hey coach, I competed in a all natural bodybuilding comp yesterday. I was in the novice lightweight class and the open lightweight class. I took home trophies from both classes, third in the novice class and fourth in the open class. The great thing about all this is that I did it all with the p90x program and strict nutrition. Every other guy on stage talked about spending hours in the gym and I knew that I spent roughly and hour a day in my house and I was actually giving these guys a run for their money. It’s hard to believe that I weighed 176.4 in January and was a chunky soft man. Thanks for all your help and for being a great coach these results wouldn’t be possible without the extra help that I got from people like you. Team ripped for life!!!!!
P.S. I know bodybuilding isn’t really your thing and I am most defiantly not an expert in it or anything, but you should consider hopping on stage, you would do really well I think and maybe it will further motivate people to whip themselves into shape. I must say I was extremely nervous about having to get on stage in front of hundreds of people and pose, but because I knew that I worked my butt off for these results it made it much easier. I actually had a blast and what a great way to show people what the program can do. It was funny all the other guys had gyms listed where they worked out and they would announce them when they came out on stage. When I walked out they said ” this is Jason worthy……. And he works out at….. HOME!! Lol
I don’t know if I will step up and enter any competitions like our man Jason, but I just love that line at the end = “And he works out at …. HOME!!!” Classic!!! Congrats Jason!
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
Hey Coach! Congratulation on Coach of the year! I'm still pretty new, but i've absolutely been impressed with the effort you put into coaching everybody and the results your team has had, and I absolutely believe you've earned that spot. Quick question for you. I'm on my third week of p90x, and strangely enough, I really haven't been very sore. I'm used to working out hard, and i'm used to walking around with jelly legs the next day, but that hasn't been happening at all. The only reason i can think for that is the recovery product I'm using, (MAX recovery - coconut water, betaine, and a systemic enzyme blend) and an additional supplement (MAX fit - green coffee bean extract, shwagandha, glutamine, carnitine and creatine plus supportive amino acids). To kinda sum up my question; did you experience much soreness with the p90x program, and is is strange to not?
Collin, I still get sore when I change things up or push REALLY hard, but the Recovery drink helps tons! Looks like you are doing a lot for recovery. If you body is recovering that well, go harder! Nice work.
So 4 lift days, do I just keep the day 1 and day 3 from P90X in constant rotation? Does L&B count as a lift day? I set my goals in MLP (and sorted out my AM/PM snacks!) but am I aiming for 2540 cals as MLP suggests or 3000 that you suggest? Sorry about my persistence but I just want to get this crystal so Im not coming back out of shape from holidays :) Cheers
Coach, joined your team last week did you receive confirmation? Also, sent you an email inquiring but no response to date.
Hey Shawn, did you send the email to my TBB email or coachwayne@teamripped.com? Send one to coachwayne@teamripped.com. Sorry about that!
Ah thats great news on the post-workout, I need to keep it simple. What about the MyFitnessPal, should I stick to what it tells me or go by your estimations? On the schedule, I was counting Legs and Back (L&B) as a lift day? If not what could I use (in P90X)? I know you suggested 3 programs to stick to but I could have sworn one of them was L&B although I couldnt find the comment when I was looking earlier. Thanks again Coach, I promise, Im nearly out of questions :)
Danny, no L&B is good. I might just cut a cardio day (you want the calories - don't burn them away!). I think that looks really solid! Set custom goals in MFP (30%P/50%C/20%F) at your surplus goal.
Well done Coach and Jason on their awards, both well deserved! @Coach, For my bulking round I wanted to do 3 lift days, 2 cardio and 2 abs-only, the structure will be similar to P90X in that no back-to-back lift days, but can I sub in Core Synergistics as an ab day? ie Lift-Abs-Lift-Cardio-L&B-CoreS-Cardio Also, having finally got onto MFP on my computer Ive had a play about with the settings. It automtically has me set for 2540 to gain 1lb a week but this seems pretty low given that Im 6ft, 140lbs and 30 years old. If I set it higher Im gaining more than 1lb per week which is likely to be fat? Should I just stick to the 2540? Lastly, in the email you mentioned dextrose for post-workout, does a slice of brown bread with honey and a scoop of whey in water sound ok? Thanks in advance!
Danny, that sounds like it would work post workout. Simple sugars and whey. For bulking you may want to limit cardio even more or add a lift day. Core Syn would be a fine addition for abs and core work!
A well deserved CONGRATS on Top Coach, Coach Wayne! Jason, phenomenal job at the bodybuilding contest! Way to Bring It!
Congrats Coach Wayne! That is awesome! And Jason.. amazing! I love that line also.. ".. and he works out at.. home!" :)
UGGHGHGHGHGHG!!!!! Hey coach, i was at my lake house yesterday and i forgot my shakeology bag. I'm going back on sunday so i can get it then. I usually take shakeology as a mid-morning snack ( i have to eat a lot of calories a day so i can't have it as a meal) so i was wondering if you could suggest anything to eat for the next 3 days or so.
Congradulations Coach on your much deserved honor. I think I can speak for everyone here when I say your the best of the best, and we thank you for all the effort and time that you put into this format, and it shows in the numbers of our ranks here at teamRipped. Gideon
Thanks for the advice Coach!
