Coach W Checking In!!

Hey teamRIPPED!!

Another month … another WINNER from teamRIPPED in the Beachbody Challenge!!!  Actually, this month there were TWO winners from teamRIPPED!!.  That brings our total to 12 winners of the Beachbody Challenge in the 10 months of the contest.  We continue to CRUSH it!  I haven’t gotten word yet of who our winners were this month, but I got a call from the Beachbody corporate office to congratulate me and all of our team for the amazing standard we are setting.  Getting results is what we are about, and we GET THEM!  Way to go gang!  By next week I will know who our winners were this month and I’ll post their pics for y’all.

And if you think you are on your way to some results worthy of the cash prizes, be sure you enter the Beachbody Challenge yourself.  To learn more, CLICK HERE.

As many of you who follow the comment threads have noticed, teamRIPPED has been attracting a lot of new folks lately …. many of them critics (my nice word for them LOL).  Last week it was the “Protein” article that turned into an all out war, and then this week it was my “Comparing Bests” post that got really ugly in the comment threads.  What gives?? LOL.

I guess that’s the benefit of becoming more and more visible on Google and search engines.  Face it people, we are a big deal now!!  :-)  Our tight knit group of dedicated teamRIPPED members now gets to enjoy all sorts of comments from random trolls with all sorts of opinions on everything.  I don’t mind.  I’m here to help.  And maybe we can inspire them to stop making excuses and start Bringing It like we do!

I hope that the negativity of some of these folks isn’t affecting your commitment though.  I’ve always had the policy that I will not censor comments unless they are profane, so even if they have nothing but negative things to say about me, Beachbody, or teamRIPPED I will still approve the comment.  I will of course reply and offer my take on the situation, but I don’t just trash their comment. I hope my teamRIPPED family is okay with that approach.  Let me know if you aren’t and I will consider approaching it differently.  A couple ideas I have for how to handle our hater-visitors are (feel free to vote for your preference) =

1)  Let them do their hating right in the comment threads like they do now.  But rather than me getting into an all day battle with them, I could just say “Hate on, Hater!” and leave it at that.

2) I could let them do their hating, but not let it happen on the comment thread.  Instead, I could route them to a new tab called the “Hater Zone” (like my Excuse Zone) so they can hate without wasting our time.

3) I could trash their comments so no one sees them (but that’s not as fun LOL).

Let me know what you think!

The more famous our team gets, the more people will want to attack us.  I say Bring it on!  Our results speak for themselves and no one can hang with that!

And on a related note, what others say about us shouldn’t deter us or distract us from our goals and purpose.  Negative people are a fact of life.  It makes them feel better about themselves to criticize others.  It’s a shame, but it’s the way it is.  Don’t let it bug you.  The problem isn’t us.  It’s them.  I don’t get mad at them.  I feel sorry for them.

Like Tony says in P90X2, “I stopped caring what people think about me a long time ago”.

What awesome advice! That’s the key to staying focused on the goal and maintaining contentment. When we let what others say about us affect our self esteem, we are doomed! Cuz there will always be people — a LOT of them — who are more than anxious to tell us everything wrong with us.  Are we going to listen to them, or are we going to press on??  I’m pressing on!!  How about you?

Finally, lots of cool stuff has happened to me thanks to my journey with P90X — and now I’ve got yet another cool thing to add to the list.  I’m a lyric in a music video! LOL!  Check out this Beachbody / P90X music video.   It’s pretty tight.  And I didn’t even know I’d have my name dropped at 2:20 until I watched it.  Pretty cool!

John actually did this rap as his entry in the talent show for the upcoming Beachbody Summit in Las Vegas.  I’ll definitely cast my vote for him!!

Oh, and one more update for all of you who have taken the time to read this far ….. a little sneak peek of Body Beast!  I know the few guys who ask me about it EVERY DAY will be glad to see this (and of course it will spark a whole bunch more questions LOL) =

I don’t know what the package options will be, or the pricing.  And I don’t know the exact release date, but I can let you know that it is going to be sooner than you think … SUMMER 2012!!!

The required equipment to do Body Beast will be a curl bar with weight plates, dumbbells, a pullup bar, and either an adjustable bench or stability ball (the adjustable bench is handy but for those not wanting to buy one, a stability ball is an alternative).  I know nothing more than that at the moment (that I’m allowed to share).  I will share more details as the release gets closer!  I can’t wait to do a Body Beast Challenge with teamRIPPED!

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!

2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!

Wayne Wyatt

After creating and running a forum for over 4 years I learned a lot of hard lessons. It's never worth the hassle. Don't let the trolls have a voice, it just encourages them. Let them spend all their time posting hate and then just delete it and ban the person. It's like cancer. You have to stop it right away or it spreads. The other thing you need to watch is who you make admin. Boy do I have some good stories...

Coach Wayne, Just finished by workout this morning, did some surfing and saw the new Body Beast Supplements video.... This is gonna be sick!! I cannot wait!!

Hey coach I just switched to Team Ripped last month to start my 2nd round of P90X. You guys get results and you are a great Inspiration for me. Let the haters hate. Those who choose to commit in all aspects will prove this Team is the one to be on. Can't wait to be in the Hall of Fame as a misfit and proud team ripped member. Maybe I can give those who doubt some more reasons to hate themselves for not committing. Also I loved your "comparing bests" post. If X2 can get you there it can for everyone else who commits. I'll be purchasing it soon and starting after my this P90x round. Thanks for motivating us

hey coach... i ordered a x2 crew shirt and last week monday you said they shipped out... should i have myn by now?

Hey Travis, they should be arriving any day cuz they started shipping out the beginning of last week.

Coach wayne I need your help man! I have done insanity a month ago so due to that I am capable of doing p90x and keeping up with it but lately I have no motivation to wake up early or eat right , and sometimes i end up not doing the full workouts. Do you have any tips or advice on motivation? because for some reason on some days im ready to do the workouts but on other days i dont seem to motivated to actually do the workouts!??

Hey Jean Luc! I don't always feel like it either. But I've already made up my mind that regardless of how I feel, I'm going to do it because I want to be healthy and fit. You don't always feel like going to work, do you? What then? Do you stay home, leave early, or quit? Of course not! It's because you know you have to do it anyway. If you really want to get in shape, you have to do it anyway! Check out my articles "just do it" and "how do you feel" in the EXCUSE ZONE!!! http://teamripped.com/excuse-zone

Well I have a split opinion about the "hater" stuff. I agree that freedom of speech is a priceless thing in this world. BUT- Opposing opinions are one thing, Negative trolling is another. I don't mind people having an opposing view on stuff, but once it turns in to trash talk and eventually an argument type scenario it takes away from the learning that I've come to appreciate. I think I've learned just as much from the discussions here as I have from reading CW's main posts. So it would be a bummer to have it muddied up with the little trolls. This is after all a site dedicated to helping people and to help them achieve that fit healthy body. People are entitled to their views(no doubt) and opinions but not arrogant, downing, and sometimes hateful comments. Lol, or we could just let them writhe in their own negativity. Either way, this community is going to be around regardless, and I'm thankful for that. So whatever you ultimately decide Coach W, I think we'll all be fine with. These are just some of my thoughts on the topic. Again, Thanks for sharing the info and advice. Bring It!

Summer 2012 for Body Beast? Wow, that is alot sooner than I would have anticipated. It will be interesting once more specifics are revealed about the program. 1) Is it strictly a mass gaining program? 2) Is it recommended that someone already be in good shape before starting this program? 3) Were there test groups with "normal" people? 4) Are there before & after pictures? 5) How long is the program...60 days? 90 days? 6) How much cardio does the program include?

Hey Phil, those are all great questions! Some you can find the answers to in the video and release they've already made (length of program, expected gains, etc.). The specifics we will have to see when they release it.

Hey coach . What calipers do you use. Accumeasure doesn't go below 6 mm

Hey Justin, the one I use is the one I describe in this article = http://teamripped.com/penny-pinching But the Accumeasure works just fine too. And it goes below 6 mm. Read the link in this article to learn how to take the measurements and plug them into the software to calculate your body fat = http://teamripped.com/how-to-measure-b-f

Wayne just ask them to post their address. The Crew hasn't taken a road trip in awhile ;)

Hey Coach Wayne, Haters to the hate zone, I have no time for negativity, would rather spend my time reading and educating my self from your posts. Also, I'm excited about Beast Master, looking to put my order in the moment it's made available. Yours in Health, Gideon

Option 3...I would rather you spend as much time as possible writing even more awesome advice that you have already filled this site with! It's a waste of your time to even bother rerouting that garbage. Thanks, Coach!

Coach, you know you’re the ish when it comes to this stuff. Who the heck cares about folks taking negative opinions on your posts. If nothing else, it makes for a good read. That said, I’m about to embark on a bit of hating myself. That music video up top is terrible. “Tight” is not the adjective I’d use to describe that “song”; however, kudos to the guy for getting results. Other than the name drop, not much going on. I’m sure the execs at BB will like eat it up. Body beast looks good. I think that dude is going to crack me up a bit. Nothing on Tony’s one-liners, but hey, I’m still stoked as hell to try it out. In closing I’d like to say. Coach, you’re my coach...and I love you, man!

The negative ones are so fun to read. I vote for the hater zone, just so we can be reminded that idiots are out there and we don't need to waste our breath, time, or energy arguing with people who are not will to do what it takes to get results. People who are worth our time are those who are bringing something of value to the game...regardless of what the game is.

Wow! That Body Beast video just took me back 28 years to a hot and sweaty gym with posters of Tom Platz, Franco Columbo and Arnold on the walls and Flex magazines laying around. That's some hard core lifting. I can't wait to order this one!

Hey Coach, it has been awhile since I've commented on here - I'm mostly active in the various facebook groups (X2 Crew, Misfits, etc.) I agree with what someone else already stated - if you have haters, you're doing something right. I'd just leave their comments in the threads. We have PLENTY of evidence on the awesomeness of Team Ripped. If they still refute it, then nothing will change their mind anyway. I'd rather spend my time working out than responding to every troll.

Hey Coach, "The more famous our team gets, the more people will want to attack us. I say Bring it on! Our results speak for themselves and no one can hang with that! Hi Coach, I have a love hate relationship with haters! And here's how a hater actually HELPED me. I started P90X exactly 88 days ago... I had never gone past Week 5 in my previous attempts, something always came up and I never finished. This time I wanted to stay committed. I came across your youtube video and I watched it over and over again to stay motivated. But here's the thing, I wasn't taking any supplements, not tracking my nutrition and doing my workouts at night. I was seeing some changes, but nothing drastic. In the middle of Week 3, a close friend of mine came over and he's the king of all haters. I've heard every comment from your Negative People post come out of his mouth at least a dozen times. I showed him your transformation video and he goes off saying it's impossible, it's steroids, no way that's 90 days, and so on. He then found your supplements youtube video to prove his point. He starts bad-mouthing Jack3d, creatine and things he doesn't know about. Telling me to stop dreaming and that at 32 yrs old, it'll be years of gym work before I can get in good shape. If anything, this interaction left me discouraged. As much as I didn't want to, I believed him. But that night, I rewatched the supplements video and got curious. I wanted to know more. For the first time I visited your website. I started to read your articles. I realized I wasn't doing EVERYTHING I could. I decided it was now or never and went all in. I ordered the supplements. Since I couldn't drink Jack3d after 5pm (which I mistakenly did the first day I had it), I had no choice but to start working out at 5am each morning. I signed up on myfitnesspal. I planned my meals 8 hours in advance and have tracked EVERY single thing I've eaten since then. I haven't seen my friend in months... he calls me for lunch once every couple weeks and I hear the all too familiar "Are you still not eating?" haha. But his hating motivated me to learn more which in turn led me to your site which has turned into the cornerstone of my program. I see P90X as a great workout program... but it's YOUR site which has taught me about nutrition, scheduling and enabled me to get through this program for the first time in 4 years since I bought it. It's also turned it into a lifestyle instead of a 90 day thing you just do once. My results by the way... I'm 6'0, down from 188 to 157 lbs, from 23% BF to 9.4%. I'm curious where I would be if I had been following you from Day 1 instead of Week 3/4. I'm starting Round 2 on Monday, will stay on Fat Shredder till 8%, then to 40/40/20 till I hit 6%... and then bulking from then on. So in regards to haters... I hate them, but I love them! :) Without a hater hating your results, I would probably have given up after week 5 like the past and not be where I am today. Just want to say thanks to my friend, the hater, and of course you Coach.

Great story Eric. Way to let the haters fuel your fire!

Hey Coach, My opinion is to let them hate. I would make a quick response with option 1. haters keep hating! and leave it at that.. then there is no debate, which is what they are looking for. About the time you give an respectful/educated response, they will try to counter attack you again! its not worth your time... And btw, I appreciate all your articles and the time you dedicate to all of us in answering our questions.

Coach ...when exactly is summer 2012 according to beach body calander :)

I believe "summer" at Beachbody is the same as "summer" for the rest of us ;-)

Coach, you've always handled the "negative ones" quite well in my opinion. Here's my idea: When you get a repeat negative offender in a thread, drop a comment in either your Coach Facebook group or other challenge group requesting some "respectful" backup. Do this, and watch your troops swarm to your aid. Like I said, you've always handled these situations amazingly well on your own, but you shouldn't have to. Yes, this is your site, but we are a team - a telecommuting family lol. Don't take on the haters all by yourself, especially as they continue to increase their numbers. You know that at the drop of a hat, your loyal followers will have your back instantly. Just give us the heads up! Hope this makes sense coach. No matter what you decide, know that, I really admire the way you handle yourself!

Hey Coach, I vote for option one. I've got a saying. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY HATERS, YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING WRONG!!! Let them hate. That just means we're destroying out there. Also, in response to your favors, I share here and there, but any time I need to buy anything, I buy it from you. I just bought P90X2 Deluxe last night. I'm gonna do it next round (3 weeks)

HAHA Coach, there will always be haters, most of the time the haters are from people who wish they could accomplish what you have and are flat out jealous.Iexperienced that first hand in my early 20s when my band broke into the aussie top 40 so much hate got flung our way. Cant wait for body beast im so pumped.on my 4th p90x cycle, really going for shred this phase but looking forward to bulking !!!!!! keep up the good work Coach

Hey Coach, just wanted to weigh in on the haters debate. First of all, let me just say that the following is simply my opinion. I'm a huge believer that responding to haters is a waste of time. In fact, I believe it gives their words more power - again, this is just my opinion, but I think the way you respond is EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. They come on the message boards to do one thing - make a hating comment with the hopes to engage you in a war. To me, you are too busy doing good and living a life of PURPOSE to waste ONE SECOND of your time responding to these guys. In other words, I don't see the purpose of responding. If there were something productive to be gained from your response, I could see the purpose... the only possible purpose of you responding that I can think of would be to clear up lies and defend against attacks... but why? The true TeamRipped/Coach W fans and followers KNOW that the haters are full of it... anyway, that's my two cents - you are the man and I love this site - reading your posts every day has made me a better person (not to mention better physically), so thanks... in short, I say trash the comments OR let them go through but don't even acknowledge them... Ollie

Coach Wayne, You are one cool stand up guy because me personally I would trash the comments. But then again they're comments do make for good entertainment and allows for you to provide even more great information to counter their misinformation. So thanks for everything you do and I'm glad that you provide information that is helpful and useful.

Coach, What website do you use to order your Quest bars? Keep up the good work brother and God Bless.

Hey Beaz, I haven't used them in a while but when I did order them, it was straight from their website. Google "quest bars" cuz I can't remember the exact url.

I am for option 1 coach. In life there will always be people who agree to disagree and that is just the facts of life. People have opinions and they are good or bad. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing and in order for people to do their best and forget the rest they need to hear the positive and negative of each side. Most people are afraid of the truth and only want the bs side of things. When people are real and opinionated...others have a real problem with that. Do with it as you may, but let the haters hate and use it as fuel to push on even harder...it works for me!

Hey doc, Trash coming from trash belongs in the...TRASH. Just reroute their useless rhetoric where the sad and lonely can unite, knowing that their epithets and negative diatribes are going unheard. It's how we say in MMA, "Shut up and train or shut up and get out!" What they say is sad, weak and unreadable and will never amount to what you have offered and we have accomplished. TeamRIPPED is ripping fat of its hinges! Something obviously these trolls have yet to learn or achieve. : )

I totally want u to make a hater zone so i want number 2:)

Hey CW, watched your P90X2 video great stuff! and body beast looks like its going to be another good beachbody program, but wondering if you ever made up a hyrbid for insanity/less mills pump? I've seen some other peoples hyrbids for this, but I would only trust a hybrid you made up :-)

LOL Jared, no I have not. I only make hybrids as I go, and I just finished up a Pump/Asylum hybrid that was fun. It's an easy premise though -- alternate the Pump days with the Insanity days, and throw in some core/ab work 2-3 times per week. If it were me I'd use the toughest of each workout (the 3 long pump lift days on days 1, 3, and 5) (Insanity Max workouts on days 2, 4, and 6), with a rest day on 7 and alternating the ab work between pump core and cardio abs on days 2 and 5.

You've got to let people put forward their opinions. It's good to have positivity, but if you can't surround yourself with yes-men (or women). The haters can sometimes give you the anger that gets out those last 2 reps. ;) Keep bringing it

I vote option 1. Nothing like negative comments to motivate and shove results back in their faces. I say whether you comment or not is strictly up to you, if you want to respond, then respond, if you would rather type, "hater, hate on", then type it. That should be your choice.

LOL a "hater zone" sounds pretty good if they get really out of hand... Body Beast looks pretty cool. I hope there is a lot of lower body focus. I cant wait to find out more. Thanks for sharing the preview video!! :)

I wonder what Tony Horton will think about Body Beast. You should ask him some time. By the way, how did you find out about the required equipment?

Hey Rick, I get some insider info since I'm on the coach advisory board, but it's confidential so I only pass along the info that I'm allowed to, at the times I'm allowed to.

Coach Wayne, Great post, Love the site. Such an amazing resource. Keep up the good work. Amazing results BTW. Dave.

Hey Coach, I know you've heard it a million times, but YOU are appreciated. I would not have seen ANY of the results I currently have, if it were not for your sight!!! and your SITE!!! Let the haters talk. Anyone of us already doing the walking, know the truth! God Bless! Bring IT!!!

option 2, it would be a great comic relief when needing a pick me up! For me anyways I hear negative feed back all the time, Carley your fat and always will be, stuff like that. Who needs the extra hating so to speak. count me in for the challenge! Sounds amazing!!

Coach, I vote for option #3. Why allow such negative comments on such a good site. My opinion is that people that are just trying to de-rail the positive things happening don't deserve an opinion!

I say option 2! It'll really ignite more hate on the haters lol. Great post, with the video and your words of wisdom I just had to share it with local coaches!

I like option #2. Much better than feeding into it or letting it bog up the page. I like reading people's questions and answers...not random hatred of stuff. Option #3 may be better though cuz that way we aren't being disrespectful and putting it on a wall for people to read. Yeah, they may be wrong and have their own opinion of things...but that doesn't mean that we have to be like them making a list of the things we don't like them saying. Plus, Andrian made a good point. We have better things to do than hang around reading hate mail.

I vote for option 2. You are an excellent coach and it shows in how you deal with the haters. But honestly, populating your board because a hater decides to attack is a bit of a waste. With a hater zone, you will just make one post and they can go there and complain. LOL.
