Hey teamRIPPED!!
Guess what!?! We have yet ANOTHER winner of the Beachbody Challenge from the teamRIPPED ranks! That makes an even 10 winners from our team, in the 10 months that the BB challenge has been out. INSANE!! This month, it was Chris Garrett, who had an amazing transformation using Power 90 and then P90X. He’s now a fitness stud and has done all the extreme programs, but when he started, Power 90 was all he could handle. Check out Chris’s Hall of Fame video if you haven’t seen it yet = CHRIS GARRETT HALL OF FAME VIDEO.
In other news, the X2 Crew finished our round of P90X2 this weekend, and I will be highlighting some of our hard work in the coming weeks. Trust me, this stuff is gonna be GOOD!! I am even dusting off the old flip camera to do an update video of my own to show off what P90X2 has done for me. Stay tuned :-)
And we are doing our teamRIPPED X2 Crew video, which will be a combination of video clips and pics from our X2 crew members (similar to our Asylum Legends video, which you must see if you never watched it before). I can’t wait till we can show this video off to the world!
And, as promised, by popular demand, we will do a second run of the X2 Crew T shirts. I will post more about them next week, so if you are interested be sure you check back. I will set an order deadline and give instructions on how to pay for them and select a size / style. So be sure you check back next week for details if you want one!
And finally, I want to touch on some of the backlash that I’ve had from my recent posts about some new BB products — Tai Cheng and the BB Ultimate Reset. Have y’all ever heard the phrase “different strokes for different folks”? Keep in mind, not everyone out there is a 25 year old die hard workout stud. We have older folks, people who are struggling with their health and obesity, or frankly cannot even begin to tackle something like P90X, Insanity, P90X2, or Asylum. Just because YOU don’t want to do Tai Cheng or the Ultimate Reset, doesn’t mean you need to bash it. I’m just saying ….
Heck, even in the intro paragraph to both Tai Cheng and the Ultimate Reset, I even said myself that I don’t plan on doing them. But just because those new products aren’t the perfect thing for me doesn’t mean I need to slam them. Trust me, there are MANY folks who have been anxiously awaiting both of those new offerings from Beachbody.
And I’m sure there were plenty of folks who held their tongue while we wet ourselves over Asylum and P90X2. Let’s do them the same courtesy and politely keep our opinions to ourselves while they explore the BB offerings that are up their alley. BB is a company that wants to provide health and wellness solutions to ALL people who want to make a change for the better. It’s just as important … probably more important actually … for a 60 year old with diabetes and obesity to get off their meds and get their health back as it is for a 28 year old guy to get shredded and impress the ladies by the pool.
So back off!!!! :-)
And with that said, keep bringing it y’all!
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
Hey Dom! I haven't posted my X2 results / pics / video yet, but it will be coming soon. I'm waiting until we finish highlighting the X2 Crew results. And feel free to follow me on MyFitnessPal, and you can see exactly what I ate (and when LOL) for the whole X2 round I just finished!
coach wayne.... Do you have suggestions to get my fitness up again. I want to start right this time. Last time before starting p90x full phase. I did 1/2 p90x for 2 weeks. (eg: back and chest only one round) then started 2 rounds and increased the reps and so on. Is that a good way? How did you start when you were first starting and in very bad shape?
Hey Champs, I would suggest you just start asap and focus on dialing in your nutrition. And be sure you join one of our accountability groups as well. Check out more in the "getting started right" tab.
Hey Coach, Quick question. I have done p90x before lost about 28 pounds and was best shape in my life was happy until I got this sciatica nerve issue as I always sit for work. Due to this sometime I can't even walk let alone doing p90x. So I got help and I am healed I was off p90x for like 5 months now and I started my bad habits too eating junk. Now I want to start back. I have been reading your post and so on all this while. So enough said.....Should I start with p90x again or go straight to p90x2. I see these bunch of people got amazing results. Appreciate your help. Thanks
You can do it either way Champs. You can do X again, or you can go for X2 and just know you'll need to modify for a while until you work up your fitness again. Either is a great option.
Hey Coach! I am doing auto shipment of shakeology, and it has been over a month, and have not received my second bag. Is there any way you can check to see if there is a problem?
Hey Birsa, you can call 1-800-240-0913 and have them check it. How much over a month is it? It should arrive the same day every month unless something want wrong with your credit card info, etc.
Hey Ethan, like any good coach I'm going to show off the hard work of my team first. I'll post my video (which is already finished) at the end. Although I'll probably give the X2 Crew a sneak peek :-)
Hey Igor, what I've said over and over is that they key is to give your full effort to the scheduled workouts, and to only do extra cardio IF you have the time and the energy. Sounds like you don't have the energy and are overdoing it on extra cardio.
Hey Coach, I have one question for you. I'm in 2nd month of P90X. Before two days I was jogging in the morning and than doing P90X in the evening, and after workouts I just lost all my energy and than I have very bad feeling in my stomach and than trow up:( Since than I have pain in my head and don't have enough energy to do any exercise. I want your opinion for this, it's just me or it's normal to felt like this if you push too hard :( Tnx
I'm anxiously awaiting to see the posts of the X2 crew - p90x2 results. I'm especially interested because I just purchased the deuce this week (expecting it today- it feels like Christmas) and I would like to join team ripped nation on the next round. Thanks for going through it again. John E. Murph (Isa4110)
Yes I will Jim. I've talked about it before, but I'm going to plan on 3 weeks in foundation, 3 weeks in the first set of strength workouts, 3 weeks in the performance workouts, then a recovery week, then the final 3 weeks I'll do the advanced strength workouts. I elaborated in my article "P90X2 Update / Review" a few weeks ago.
Online voting for the quarterly competition is live! Be sure to vote! I would love to see one of us teamRIPPED peeps win the quarterly challenge! http://www.teambeachbody.com/connect/beachbody-challenge/vote/quarterly
Thanks coach! My husband was seriously injured last year and only now is he able to even think of doing anything besides being bedridden. Tai Cheng has been a Godsend for us, helping him increase his mobility again. I can't believe anyone would want to bash it! Sure, for me it's not as extreme as the P90X2 that I'm doing, but for my husband it's just right! Thank you for your post!
Just to support the Tai Cheng, even though my wife barely started the program, she has been very impressed with the instruction given in the videos so far. And to defend those interested in these non-extreme programs. My wife has fibromyalsia, tarsal and carpal tunnel syndrome. There may not be any other program available on the market right now that she could do except Tai Cheng. So, as a team, support those who seek health and nutrition through whatever route they are able to achieve it.
@Coach Wayne, Good points on the negative comments, Im sure many of the hardcore dismissed some of the recently released products (as I myself did) but there may come a time when those products are ideal. People are quick to judge sometimes. Going off-topic for a second, Im 4 days into my recent calorie increase (1900-3000) and Im really struggling. Im finding it hard to eat so much and I feel bloated all day long. Im eating the same foods as before but more of them and my ratios according to myfitnesspal are spot on. Is this just something my body needs to adjust to? I cant see myself sticking at that level of intake or upping it in a bulking round later... Thanks in advance!
Hey Danny, yes you'll feel like that at first because you aren't used to eating that much. You'll adjust after a week or 2. Enjoy feeling stuffed!! :-)
Mr. Wayne My dad passed on to me p90x and p90x plus, I have a couple of weeks left before I finish. I don't have a coach, and don't know how to make you my coach. And also, if I buy P90x2 through your site will that make you my coach automatically?
Hey Carlos, all you have to do is click the "join teamripped free" tab at the top of the screen :-). Simple. And if you order X2 through me, that would make me your coach as long as you don't already have a teambeachbody account. If you do have a teambeachbody account, you'd need to do a coach switch first (instructions on how to do that are also in the "join teamripped free" tab).
Good post Coach!! We all have different needs and are at different levels of fitness and age. Being polite and kind to others is what should be expected from all TeamRipped folks. We should support each other and represent ourselves accordingly. I come here for inspiration and focus. This is what TeamRipped means to me. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. We should all strive to better, stronger and faithful. Bring it!!!
It's really sad when people do not respect the hard work, the determination, the sacrifice, the sweat, the hours, and the discipline to set a goal and reach it. No one is perfect, not me, not you, not anyone. So why do people take the couple of minutes out of their day to try and bash someone that has done weeks and months of hard work and training? James 1:9 - "everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger." So instead of bashing someone, why not try to learn something from those that have been successful? Sorry for getting preachy... :/ By the way, great job to those that have been successful in P90X2. I can't wait to see them. I can also use the motivation. BRING IT! (the right way please)
Great post, coach. It's easy to forget sometimes that we all start from different places, but ultimately share the same goal of a better lifestyle. I'll admit I gave some funny looks at the computer screen while reading about the reset, but to each his own! BTW, should we email you our pics/vids directly to you, or are you going to be puling them from the X2 FB page? Thanks! Can't wait to see your results!
Hey Matt, definitely email me the link to your vid and your "story" cuz I'm putting the Hall of Fame worthy videos into feature posts to display on my site over the next couple weeks. These results are incredible! teamRIPPED nation is in for a real treat to watch these!
Hey Coach Wayne. Looking forward to seeing the X2 results. Sounds like it is going to be awesome!! I got a quick question: I have some spinningclasses during the week, since i'm a spinning instructor. On the days where I do spinning AND p90x do i need to up my calories? And if so by how much? I'm currently on the 1900 calorie fat-shredder.
Hey Nicklas, it depends on how many cals you are burning in the spin classes. Don't completely compensate for it with increased cals, but definitely take in some to keep you from running too big a deficit. If, for instance, you are burning 800 cals with spinning class, consider taking in an additional 500 cals on those days.
I cant wait to see the rest of the results from p90x2 the success stories are what keep others like myself motivated! I also would like to add something if you dont mind coach. People also need to back off from the negative comments about other peoples success! Ive been seeing a lot of posts saying how people have photo shopped their pics and how their results are impossible. These people work their butts off to achieve the results they have gotten and they dont need some jealous person bashing them!!
Hey coach, I finished round 1 of P90x2 a few weeks ago and i am currently on my round 2. I was checking out your new pictures and i'm really impressed by your result. Good job buddy! I was wondering if you could write an article about your round of P90X2 about how you got these result: Nutrition, supplements and if you used any equipment beside the recommended equipment like a weigth vest. I got great result on my 1st round but i really wanna push it this time and get the maximum out of myself. Thanks!
