Hey teamRIPPED! November 30th! Last day to pre-order P90X2 and qualify for free shipping. Don’t miss it if you want to have X2 and save some $$ on shipping. Pre-Order P90X2 HERE.
**UPDATE 12/1/2011 = Beachbody just extended the free shipping incentive on P90X2 orders through 12/7/11, so you still have a week to save on shipping.
Did you survive Thanksgiving with your waistline in tact?? :-). If you did — CONGRATS!!! How did you do it? What was the secret?
If you didn’t — WHY NOT?? What derailed you? Did you fail to plan ahead? Were the temptations too much? Had you already planned to take a cheat day but then dial it back in the next day? Just curious.
And for those who have some regrets about how you handled Thanksgiving, what are you going to do differently over the Christmas holidays? It’ll be here before you know it, and we want to finish 2011 STRONG!
Winter and cold weather are coming, and I just love working out at home. It makes all those excuses disappear (ice on the car, ice on the roads, etc. that make going to a gym a total nightmare in the winter). And while most people won’t start worrying about working out until Jan 1st, this is where we can dig deep and make some real strides forward while most people are going backwards. It takes determination, commitment, and mental toughness to go against the flow and stick to your plan when everyone around you is doing something else. But those who stand firm will succeed with their health and fitness, unlike those around them. Make up your mind to stand firm! Then inspire those around you to do the same!
Remember as you do your holiday shopping that teambeachbody has the cool new eGift Cards, so now it’s easy to give the perfect gift to everyone on your list! I have all the details on the eGift Cards in my article from yesterday, “Gift of Fitness”.
There are so many exciting things coming up this month I can hardly stand it!
— Our Misfits are about to CRUSH the final phase of our P90X round (results will be coming in January so get ready!).
— P90X2 will start shipping within the next 2 weeks or so — it’ll take all my will power to not plop down and watch all 14 DVD’s as soon as I get them just to see the final product! BB has promised that the first batch of P90X2 kits will arrive BEFORE Christmas for those who have ALREADY pre-ordered, so it should start shipping in the next couple weeks to be sure that happens. BB is also saying that those who order going forward (from this point on) should receive their copy the first week of January. They will officially start shipping immediately after Tony Horton hand delivers the first P90X2 kit to whoever the lucky winner is (everyone who pre-ordered is entered in a drawing to have Tony H. deliver their kit in person). I can’t wait!
— The new program Les Mills Pump will be available this month, and I’m quite “pumped” about it for those looking to lean down, tone up, and do a lift workout that is so high intensity it might as well be cardio as well!
— Then in January the new Tropical Shakeology will be available. Plus, it will be vegan!
— In very hush hush news, the new Beachbody Pre-Workout, E&E Energy and Endurance Pre-Workout Formula is getting closer to release. I don’t have a timetable yet, but I can’t wait to try it and see how it compares to the many PWO’s I’ve tried. To learn more about it and get on the email notification list, click here = E&E Beachbody Pre-Workout
How can a person ever get bored with all the awesome news coming!!??
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!

Hey coach, Could you please write a small article on dioxin and other toxic chemicals. Thanks, Brian
Hey Brian, toxic chemicals are EVERYWHERE! I'm sorry that you happen to be obsessed with dioxin, but that's just one of millions. I'm not sure what I have to offer as far as toxic chemical research. I focus on nutrition and fitness. Toxic chemicals are not my specialty. I appreciate your request though man!
Good-night to this AMAZING/DEDICATED group of men and women, Better known as teamRIPPED. Have great Friday and remeber to bring it, for all it's worth.....Each and every day!!!!
I know I'm going but couldn't help checking in first before i go... Nice one. And did i tell you that Rachel/kids went and pre-ordered P90X2 for my one year Ann, as a surprise for me, and made me this really neat certifacte for my dedication and completing P90X and Insanity. It really pulled at my heartstrings. and they gave it to meal on the Anniversary date November 16th during our supper. My family Rocks!!!!
Sorry for choosing the wrong article to post this in, but this is more recent so figure its likely to get to you. I've seen on your site you stated not to go below 1,300 calories for men. Then in another article say not to go below 1,500 calories for men so you won't loose muscle, but then you have the 1,900 calorie fat shredding diet. With the exception of a person to person bases... what would be the bare minimum I can eat to see some great results like you have? To prevent any back and forth I'm 5'5 and weight 172.5 Thank you for your time as I know you have a family and your responsiveness on here is always much appreciated. :)
Hey Alex! Just to clarify, on my diet in round 1, I did 1900 cals. The bare minimum for a guy before he risks losing muscle mass and slowing his metabolism significantly is 1200-1300. The level that I recommend guys not to go below while doing a strenuous workout routine like P90X or Insanity is 1500 (just to be on the safe side). So with that background, and considering your height, I'd suggest you go with 1500 cals on a fat shredder plan but monitor your energy level. Read my article "energy balance" to learn more about how to respond to your body during a calorie deficit. Hope that helps!
Great weekly check in Coach! Where would we be without you?? (Well I know where my big butt would be!) Bigger and fatter! HAHAH!
Hey Coach Wayne- Wondered how the whole foods, plant based diet is going. Is the whole family on it? Is it possible to be added to the Facebook group at this late date? My family and I are transitioning to whole foods, plant based diet this week. Thanks. Andrew
Hey Andrew, it's going great. I'll be posting more about my progress with it next week. My kids are mostly doing it, although they have some dairy and lean meats. Anita is pretty much with me step for step (which is good since she cooks our dinners and does a lot of the shopping). Sure, come ask to join the group. It's never too late!
This is a study done on the effects of four of the p90x workouts. We reviewed this in my research class. Good study? Maybe not. Showing how p90x compares to other workouts. Yes https://www.acefitness.org/certifiednews/images/article/pdfs/ACEP90XStudy.pdf
Interesting study Al. Looks like the results of the study show that P90X works if you commit to it, just like they say! I am surprised that they worked so hard to be so scientific and yet didn't report the SIZE of the subjects. Their sample of 9 males burned 600 and some odd cals during Plyo, but are those men 140 lbs or 220 lbs? That makes a HUGE difference. I am 215 and burn 1000 cals doing Plyo. My wife, who is 120 lbs, burns about 500 or less. They should have accounted for that in their calculations on the workouts.
well my thanksgiving went.great i lost about 2ozs yes oz but it better than picking up 2oz anyways after being fat for so long i said not this year....279 down to 208 in less than a year makes u think hard...p.s coach tring to get everything accounted for the x-mas do u know when they will start taking the cash out my bank...
Thanksgiving was great. Lots of veggies on my plate. The dishes me and the GF provided were roasted brussell sprouts and homemade (not canned) green bean casserole. Sweet potato mashed and asperagus. Instead of having a new year resolution (I have never had one), I am doing an end of the year resolution. I am going to continue this round of p90x/insanity right up to New Years, extended phase 3 by two weeks and push to reach my goal (185 down from 235 this time last year) to make it a full 50 pounds in 2011 (I am at 186.5 this morning). Cannot wait for p90x2, I am going to have a very hard time not at least trying out a few of the workouts when they come. Lets be honest, I definately will.
Hey, how come the pre order day just got postponed by like an extra 7days? thats what it says on their site at least...
Thanksgiving went very well. Ate clean all day and kept open some calories for some tiny snacking ( a lot of family pressure by people who eat like they will never get another meal) anyway had a nice plate of turkey and raw vegetables and save room for som home made cranberries..... Definitely worth the cheat! And then right back to protein shakes, protein bars and I excused myself later in the evening to work out. I am doing my own crafted muscle building hybrid so I am seeing some nice increases while staying at my curren bodyfat percentage. Willpower is powerful! I went to bed that night thankful for my choices that day and stayin committed.
Did well over TG glad to hear a misfit update, minor derailment on too much turkey but buggest step to success was drinking Choc Shake O, pb bananna about an hour before TG dinner, was full, no need to bulge the gut with some nasty food...later on in the day did overload on a couple too many ounces of turkey but all an all stayed away from the nasties. Lost 4 lbs TG week and it was a recovery week for me so feel like I killed it teamRipped style and happy about that...may go down as my healthiest TG week ever! Thanks for your pre TG tips...
Hi Coach! I have Anita as my coach on teambeachbody.com and I buy my shakeology from there. Does that still help you out?
Wayne I find it hard to believe you won't watch PAP Upper at least once :) In fact I bet its a family event
OMG coach Wayne... info overload! Thanks! had Thanksgiving desserts, the most I have splurged in 6 months. I also had the BIGGEST sugar spike, carb overload CRASH in 6 months too! WOW! Was literally tired for the rest of the evening and next day! Planned ahead, and still at my lowest weight mark in 6 months and pushing play! Best shape of my life to date! Planning is key! BB PWO...SWEET! FINALLY... an alternative to 1.3 dimeth.. (not good), I can't wait! Thanks for all the good info!
hey coach, I am working out but since the accident i have lost 10 pounds of weight and i am looking a lot skinnier
Hey Brian, if you've been eating the same amount of calories as before "the accident" as you call it, and yet are losing some weight, that shows your testosterone levels are good -- maybe better than before! If your testosterone had dropped like you are imagining, you'd start packing on body fat if all other factors were the same. So that's great news man! Your brief encounter with the PVC hasn't hurt you at all, just like we all told you :-)
Will P90X2 arrive by Christmas for those of us in Canada? And when do we have to call BB to get the tropical shakeology (I'm already on the recurring shipping plan)?
Hey Mike, yes, in Canada the same shipping schedule applies to the US pre-orders, so those in Canada who pre-ordered already will get them by Christmas. And Tropical Shakeology isn't available yet. You will be able to switch to it once it is available (they don't have a date yet but it should be in early 2012).
