Month 1 is in the books for our Misfits in the Misfit Challenge! This week, we began the second month of workouts, and the 30 day pics that the Misfits have been posting on our private FB group have me PUMPED beyond belief! These people are BRINGING IT!!! I can’t wait until we hit day 90 and I have the privilege of showing you what this group has accomplished. We started the challenge with 250 Misfits, but after 1 week it was clear that many weren’t serious about the commitment level, so we had cuts and immediately dropped to 175. Of those 175, we still have 168 going strong a month later. These people aren’t playing around!!
I also want to give a big shout out to Todd Warren, one of our teamRIPPED Hall of Famers, who was featured in an article in Men’s Fitness for his results with P90X. Way to represent us to the fitness world Todd!! Here’s the article for y’all to check out =
I’ve almost settled into my vegan diet (I’m a creature of habit so I prefer to eat the same thing most days — it makes life easier for me LOL!). Once I get the finishing touches on it, I’ll post my “Coach Wayne Vegan Sample Diet” for everyone. I am trying to eat a LOT of food right now because I want to show that you can stay strong and get stronger while on a strict whole food plant based diet. So far I think it’s working. This won’t be an all out bulking round, but I’m looking to gain a bit of muscle mass to show that it can be done. Plant strong baby! LOL!
I also want to give a very special thanks to all of teamRIPPED nation for viewing and sharing my P90X Insanity results video over the past year and a half. It is now the NUMBER ONE video on YouTube if you search for P90X! That’s an awesome feeling for me and it’s great exposure for our team. I don’t know a lot about how YouTube rankings work, but I know that the more people who view, comment, like, and share a video, the more popular it gets. So THANK YOU!!! I don’t know how long I’ll stay at the top, so I’ve got to enjoy it while it lasts LOL!
The #1 P90X Video on all of YouTube ….. WoooHooo!
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
Hey Coach! I preordered the deluxe set for p90x2, but now I realized I will be going to the gym to do p90x, so I was wondering if you know how I can cancel it and order the base set?
Sure Mark, just call 1-800-240-0913 and they can check on your order and make any changes you need. Hope that helps! (tell them I sent you -- that # is "coach relations" and they are there to help with orders and so forth).
Hey coach. Congrats on your success. I can honestly say I DESPISE YOU! haha I kid...you did a hell of a job re-programming your cravings. I'm working on the same. How often did or do you use crystal lite during your transformation? Just tried it yesterday and it tasted like koo-laid! Also don't want to drink it to the point it may hinder my results or PH levels. Thanks in advance.
LOL Alex! Yeah, the sugar free water flavoring is good stuff. I didn't use crystal light very often, but I used the walmart "orange early rise" flavoring packets quite a bit in my first round as I weened off pop. Now I do nothing but water, but initially I felt like I needed some flavor so those were a good option. You won't hurt your results with them. But don't go overboard because they are artificially flavored and sweetened and are acidic in the body.
Hey Coach Wayne and Coach Indo, I am still paranoid of the dioxin exposure, and I read online that even if your exposed to a small exposure, it can bioaccumulate and bring about the symptoms like cancer and lowered testoserone. Please Help!
Hey Brian, all I can recommend at this point (since you don't want to hear what we are all telling you), is to consult with your doctor. You had ONE BRIEF exposure man! I don't know what else any of us can tell you. Oh, and BTW we burn our trash (nice perk of living outside the city limits), so I'm quite confident that I've been exposed to dioxin in much greater quantities and more times than you. And I am not losing any sleep over it :-).
Hey coach, I have a question I just started insainity Monday and today I got a sharp pain in my left knee every time I bend it. My question is do I wait it out or is this program not for me, I know that I can't push through it.
Hey Korey, it may be some initial inflammation in the joints from the sudden increase in exercise and workload. It may get better in a week or two, or it may not. You can try modifying the moves for lower impact and see how you do, or else pick a workout program that isn't so cardio intensive. I know that doing Asylum every day was hard on my old joints. But I have no problems doing a hybrid where I only do cardio 3x per week and lift the other 3x per week. That way my knees aren't taking a beating 6x per week.
Not surprising that the video is #1...what else would one expect from the #1 Coach who is rapidly approaching Gazillion-Star Diamond (thanks to coaches like Lance "Look at my Shiny New Diamond which I will use to buy more hair-care products" Lyell!!) I would STILL ove to get these thru email!! Can you try sending them thru my website email??
Indo, just for you buddy :-). But actually I didnt even send this week's out via email because with the restrictions on the # of emails a coach can send I am forced to only send my weekly check in every other week.
We can't say it enough, "CONGRADULATION!" The one that leads by "example" is the one that should be "followed." Thank you for making a World of diferance (#1 Video) and being the one that has set the example to follow in all aspects in life, Not just fitness and nutrition.... THANK-YOU
hey coach, quick question i am pe teacher, i workout 515am every morning. i will be teaching in workout center during the day at least once. is there anything u recommend i can do to add to workout. more curls, etc. i read michl.ladder and that says 3 sets of 3 exercises but later in night time. any suggestions or should i just add some reps of body part worked that morning.i have access tosome good new machines. hammer strenght, circuit, cables etc. thanks
Hey Mike! If you are going to do extra lifting while at your gym class, then the best bet would be to work only the body parts that you already worked during your workout that morning. Don't work different body parts or you will interfere with the recovery time needed based on the workout schedule.
Congrats coach I share your results with others. people always ask if I think they can do p90x and insAnity cause they see the results I'm getting from it and I usually tell them you think my results are good and I show them your video. Your results were truly amazing and it inspires me to push harder and dig deeper with both fitness and nutrition.
Thanks Lou! I mentioned Coach Wayne in my response to the senior editor, but I think they cut it out because they didnt have Wayne's permission to use his name. Congrats on the video coach!!! TeamRIPPED FOR THE WIN!
Hey Ricardo, thanks. Vegetarian means you don't eat meat. Vegan means you avoid animal proteins altogether (which means meat, dairy, and eggs).
HEY COACH WAYNE!QUICK Q FOR THE MOMENT I CAN ONLY SEE MY TOP ABS PERMANTLY BUT TH ONES BELOW ARE NON EXISTENT ONLY WHEN I DO AB RIPPER X CAN I SEE THEM FOR A FEW MOMENTS BUT THEN THEY ARE GONE HELP.
Yep Pete, I downloaded it and will be posting an article tomorrow. BB is going to have a webinar tonight for the coaches that I'm going to be part of so I'll hopefully have some good tips and info to pass along tomorrow.
#1 P90X video, #1 Beachbody Team, #1 Coach....is there anything you finish 2nd at? LOL! Congrats Coach. You definitely deserve it. We all couldn't have got as far as we have without your help. You ROCK!
Wayne, Just joined your team. Your site is great and I have learned alot. I am on day 17 of p90x and have been focusing on diet. I have been trying to stay around 1700 cals with the 50/30/20 diet (using tap&track). My 7 day average is about 1800 cals with a 52/33/15 ratio. This includes using the recovery formula 3x per week. Two questions: Getting fats without jacking up carbs seems difficult. Do you have some food suggestions? Are the ratios acceptable since I am including the R&R formula? FYI I am 6' 179 and 51 yrs old. Thanks Ed
Welcome Ed! Great to have you man! Those ratios are just fine. You don't have to try to get your fats up. As long as you stay above 10% on fats (that's the bear minimum), then you are just fine. I often had about 15%-17% myself on fats. Those #'s are all great. Keep it up and I look forward to seeing you reach your goals with the X!
Congratulations to Todd for representing teamripped on Men's Fitness! Way to go Todd!!!! Congrats Coach on being the #1 P90X video! We are all part of something huge here! We are definitely making a difference and having a big impact on the obesity trend that has affected our nation! This team rocks! Proud to be part of this team!!!
If i put on extra lbs and need to burn it off ill just switch back to 1800 fat shredder? Ill do 16 weeks and then back to 1800 cals for last 4 would that be okay?? Thanks coach Paul
Nice work Wayne!!!! Looking forward to seeing your results and your sample menu:) I reached a milestone today day 155 made it to 154 lbs (down 34 lbs and up 5 lbs of lean mass) and more importantly 6.5% Body Fat :):):):) My first day eating 3,000 cals on 40/40/20 and loving it stuffing my face LOL all good food of course!! just 1 question: how often will i check B.F and weight?? every week?? + if i jump up a bit too far on the scales obviously cut back on cals?? i would like to gain 16 lbs of lean muscle in the next 20 weeks, should be possible rite?? thanks for all your help your website ROCKS!!! Paul
Hey Paul, congrats man!! Your plan is right on and I bet you'll get there. Once a week is perfect for weighing and measuring. That's the way I always did it while trying to work toward a goal (either dropping body fat or gaining mass).
That's awesome coach. By the way I got the P90X app last night. The official beachbody one. Looks cool but I wish you didn't have to pay for the videos again if you want a portable copy.
