Chris Coburn is the definition of dedication. I have had the pleasure of knowing Chris for a while now. He is an awesome example of showing up and bringing it! You will see in his pics, that this isn’t some pack on 30# of muscle in 30 days scheme. This is commitment and real results.

Beyond adding tons to all the challenge groups he is a part of, Chris is also a phenomenal Coach! He has helped so many people follow in his own footsteps towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. You can check out tons of great articles and post from him on his website www.yourfitnesspath.com. Way to go man! You have crushed it and inspire me to keep bringing it!

For a look at where he started, see his first transformation video. And then get ready to be floored at the end of this post!

Name: Chris Coburn

Age: 37

When did you first find teamRIPPED?: I first stumbled upon TeamRIPPED in late 2011 after feeling like I was missing out on something in my fitness journey even though I had already completed a few round of P90X.

What program did you use to get your results?: Several over the years. In order (as best as I can remember…) P90X, P90X+, One on One, P90X2, Insanity: The Asylum (Vol 1 & Vol 2), Body Beast, Focus T25, P90X3

What are you doing now with your fitness?: Over the last couple of years, I have done a few obstacle races and a goal for 2016 is to complete a Spartan Trifecta.

How have your goals changed since your first transformation?: When I was first getting started, I really just wanted to get back to being active and add a few pounds of muscle. I’ve gone through several phases here…At one time I was really obsessive about the whole process, but realized that this behavior was not beneficial to me or those around me and I have been able to shift to a healthier mindset in this area. Seeing continued improvements in strength and performance are more of a focus now and fitting fitness INTO my life instead of making it my ENTIRE life.

You are still working out a lot, what are you doing?: Still going strong! While I still enjoy the Beachbody programs, I have really gotten into power lifting with the barbell (bench press, squat, and deadlift). I try to incorporate the barbell into the Beachbody programs whenever possible.

Did you ever gain weight back?: When I started back in 2009, I was a pretty scrawny guy and was “skinny fat” with very little muscle mass. Since then, I’ve added roughly 20 lb. of muscle to my frame.

What is your WHY then and now? Has that changed?: This has definitely changed and probably changed multiple times over the years… My WHY was pretty much in line with my goals when I first got started; I didn’t have any major health issues, I just wanted to get myself back into decent shape and add some definition and muscle mass. I bit selfish I suppose. Today, it’s a bit more multi-purpose; I just want to be a little bit better (stronger, functionally and continue to add muscle), but also set an example with my kids as they are older now and more active than they were when I first started.

These are all 2009 until 2016. When I saw these on Facebook, I just knew I needed to share Chris’ story again!
