Who’s up for the Challenge??? All hands on deck!! We have been called out by team XcellentFitness. They want to go head to head with teamRIPPED in the ultimate showdown …. THE ASYLUM CHALLENGE!!
Oh yeah!!! Let’s do this!
Joel S. (fearless leader of XcellentFitness) is a buddy of mine, and while we were on the coaches cruise, we decided that there would be no better way to fuel the excitement of the new Asylum release than to rally our troops for battle! He’s getting his crew fired up and ready. And I KNOW y’all are always ready!
Joel and I will visit about exactly how to make this challenge work, and whether or not we should let others participate as well (vs. keeping it just a 2-team battle). And we’ll work to determine what the criteria for the challenge will be.
But I just want to get y’all ready! The program should be available in April, and we’ll make sure we give everyone ample time to order and receive their copy. That will also give many of you time to finish up your current round of P90X / Insanity. Then we’ll set a start date. I’m guessing it will be around May 1st. Since I already finished my Round 4, I will spend the time between now and then doing some 1-on-1’s and Insanity, but I won’t start Round 5 yet (I will wait until after we CRUSH the Asylum Challenge!)
And for those of you who have followed my Round by Round progress, you may be aware that I’ve never done a full round of Insanity. I’ve always used Insanity as the cardio portion of a hybrid with P90X lifting. That’s because I didn’t want to lose muscle mass with an all-cardio program.
The great news about Asylum is that it has it all! It has resistance work as well as athletic performance training. It’s a BEAST! And it’s not your typical 90 day program. It isn’t designed to help you go from out of shape to in shape. It is an intense, all-out bootcamp to get to your peak performance in only 4 weeks with 6 workouts each week. Asylum is quick. It’s to the point. And it’s intense! No messing around. No recovery weeks. This is designed to utterly BLAST you for a month and get you ready for game day!
I can’t wait to do it as a stand alone program. And after spending a week with Shaun T. and sampling the workouts, there is no doubt that Asylum is off the hook! Shaun T. is ripped like I’ve never seen, and his upper body musculature is incredible. And he credits it all to Asylum. Get ready to DIG DEEP y’all!!!
