How many of you need extra protein to hit your macros at night? A lot of times when you are trying to hit Fat Shredder macros and even 1.5g of protein per pound, you will have some extra protein you need to make up after dinner. All of these high protein evening snacks can help! They will also help keep you full longer while you go to bed, help your muscles recover, and keep you from going for some sweets or treats at night!
5 Protein Packed Evening Snacks
PB Chocolate Whey ShakeRight to the point! Do you know the reason I recommend finding a whey protein you like? Cuz whey makes it really easy to boost your protein and hit your macros. Here is a FAST, simple shake, that gives you 30g of protein, some good fat to keep you full and slow digestion, and it is enough to help keep temptation away.
- 1 Scoop Whey (I like ISO 100)
- 1 Cup Almond Milk
- 1 TBSP Natural PB
Blend once. Add 5-6 ice cubes. Blend again and ENJOY! 241 Calories that are easy to down!
Casein without the Powder ;) – Cottage Cheese and FIBERI like this one cuz I hate normal casein protein powders LOL Cottage cheese isn’t much better IMO but it is still better. This will give you a lot of good, slow digesting protein and added fiber through blackberries. Blackberries are an awesome option if you are having trouble getting enough fiber and want to help your digestion.
**A few more carbs here, but great 12g of fiber too!
- 1 Cup FF Cottage Cheese
- 1 Cup Blackberries
Put in bowl LOL and eat!
Take Jello Sugar Free Pudding mix, add milk, and add some whey… and BAM! Awesome protein packed snack!
Whisk this one really well. The pudding and whey will mix with the milk but give it time. If you need to add 1/2 C more milk, go for it (just track it). I think chilling it for a while is best. Then divide it out into 4 servings and you are ready to eat!
Late Night Scramble
Who doesn’t like eggs for a late night snack LOL I have a buddy that LOVES to use this. Super easy on the macros and hits that protein hard.
- Scramble 1 C egg beaters in a pan coated with PAM
- Top with Salsa or sriracha
The NO Macros Left Trick
So it’s the end of the day, and you have no macros left. OR even worse, you are a little over and you are starving. Here is my trick.
Only use this when you need to.
STOP EATING! TOUGHEN UP! Drink some water and focus on your goals.

Oh, you could grab a sugar free Jello snack pack… that would be ok too. Or chew a piece of gum. BUT DON’T EAT ANYMORE! Do better next time!
