Hey teamRIPPED! How is everyone doing this week? Are you pushing yourself on your workouts? Are you sticking to the nutrition plan? Are you staying accountable regarding the goals you set for yourself at the start of 2013?
One thing I always keep in mind as I go through my day is this = the workout is 1 hour (or less) of my day. It’s critical to push myself and get the most out of that hour if I want to be strong, fit, and build muscle. However, that’s just 1 hour out of 24. The other 24 are every bit as important! The battle doesn’t end when the workout is over. It’s just beginning. The real battle takes place all day long! Can I resist that tempting junkfood? Can I plan appropriately so that I hit the right % for protein, carbs, and fats.
How can someone push so hard on a workout, and then cave in and crumble at lunch time? What a waste of effort! If you find that you are slipping up on your nutrition, or caving in to temptations, then get that frame of mind — your workout is just one of many daily battles. Conquer lunchtime with the same effort you conquered P90X Chest and Back! Dig Deep! Bring it!
Okay, now that I’ve preached at you all, I’ve got a confession to make!! I hate to admit this, but I know I’ll feel better to get it off my chest …..
I DON’T workout in the WOWY gym on TeamBeachbody!!
I never have. In fact, I ignore the requests I get from my TeamBeachbody “buddies” inviting me to workout with them in WOWY. Naughty Coach Wayne!
The reason I don’t bother with WOWY is that I think our FB accountability groups are much better. I stay plugged in every day with our teamR1PP3D challenge, and I check in with the X2 Crew, the teamRIPPED BEASTS, the Misfits, and on and on. These are my peeps! I’m inspired by their dedication, their progress, and their results. Why on earth would someone try to do this on their own when they can tap into the power of a team to take them to a new level?
So if you’ve sent me workout invitations on WOWY, sorry! You won’t hear back! But you WILL find me in one of our teamRIPPED facebook workout groups. I’d encourage you to join me!
