What a week! Filled and good. Did you have a similar week? Are you ready for some down time this weekend? Or do you have a full weekend too LOL
One thing I got to do this week and last was have a monthly video call with some Beachbody Coaches that are doing the year of John Maxwell training. We listen to calls with John and group leaders and then come back together as teamRIPPED Coaches and discuss how the calls impact us and what we are going to do. This month’s call was on emotionally strong people.

Do not waste time feeling sorry for themselves.
Step 1 for a lot of people starting out is to just suck it up LOL!!! Feeling sorry for yourself won’t get you to a better place. Action will! What are you doing today, NOW, that will put you in a better place this afternoon, next week, next month, and next year?
Do not allow others to control the relationship.
Friends, family, haters… don’t give them complete control over you and your choices. Otherwise, you are going to go only where they want. In a lot of cases, that’s not where YOU want to be. Love those friends and family but make sure they know you are going to do what’s best for your health and wellness!
Embrace change.
If doing what you were doing got results, you’d already be ripped. It never happened, so we have to change. I had to stop turning into the gas station for candy and soda/pop/Coke. I had to stop going out to lunches and stuffing my face with queso and chips. I not only changed, but I embraced it. I loved fueling my body for performance. I loved getting stronger. And you what? The healthy food I used to enjoy became something to look forward to!
Do not waste energy on things they cannot control.
If you can’t change it, don’t waste a second on it. That is time and energy you won’t get back and you will have nothing to show for it. Bless and release LOL
Do not worry about pleasing others.
You can’t make others happy 100% of the time. That doesn’t mean you have to go out of your way to be abrasive, but realize that you can only go as far as you can. Look to encourage, support, and motivate others. Their joy and happiness is in large part up to them. Don’t get dragged down by them or think it is your job to make them happy.
Take calculated risks.
I feel I have a great grasp of this one. I love gathering info, seeking advice from good people, and taking calculated risks. I always think about the motivational pic I see from time to time of “life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” Comfort, more often than not, leads to complacency. Get some good advice from experienced people and GO FOR IT!
Emotionally Strong people do not make the same mistake over and over.
We have to be honest with ourselves, take some good self-evaluation, and learn from our mistakes. There is no shame in making mistakes if we use them to get better. The problem comes when we go a little crazy and think the same actions are going to produce different results. Take it from me, loads of queso and chips will not get you ripped!

Just on Wednesday I released my first eBook! Pretty cool huh?! It is a 2000 Calorie Fat Shredding plan. It has meal plans and recipes and a lot more. My real hope is that you can use it to start tracking. It’s a framework to see how food work together to hit macros and get you to your goals. You could use the plan it had over and over, but that would be boring. Take a calculated risk and trust me, someone who has been there and done it.
