So yesterday I posted about the Recovery Week. It’s an important time in your Beachbody journey. Recovery weeks change the paces and let you get refreshed. For many of us, when we were starting out, it was basically doing a 180 from our old life. Our bodies are wrecked! Take this time to really recover. The workouts are slower paced but you need them. Trust me on this one!
Week 4: Recovery and Reflection
Apart from the recovery aspect that I talked about yesterday, I think this is a good week for REFLECTION too.
Take this week to look back on your first three weeks of the new year. Think about how far you’ve come!
- Can you think of the things that were big accomplishments?
- What can you do now that you can do in 2016?
- What improvements can you already see?
Another part of reflection you should be doing is to evaluate what you could’ve done better.
- How would you grade yourself on nutrition?
- How would you grade yourself on workouts?
- What mistakes can you learn from about nutrition? Temptations to avoid?
- What about workouts, did you pick the right weights? Can you go harder next month?
All of this reflection is with the goal of making you better. We aren’t getting down on ourselves, but if I can look back and see I slipped up when pizza came to the office on Friday… I might want to leave for lunch that day (until I can handle it). Or if I look back and know I went too easy on some workouts, I will make a commitment to myself to go harder next time. Pick heavier weights. Ditch the modified move.
All in all, let your reflection this week fire you up for a new month! Week 5 is coming and we are going to keep seeing amazing results build and build. Don’t give up!
