Tyson’s P90X Results!

Tyson just finished his first round of P90X, and his results are AMAZING!  He lost 35 lbs, and looks like a totally different guy.  He isn’t to his goal yet, and will be going to P90X2 next.  But his goal was to have results worthy of the teamRIPPED Hall of Fame, and he definitely achieved that!  Check out each 30 day phase and how the overall change from day 1 to day 90 was made complete because at each phase he pushed himself to lose body fat and build lean strong muscle.  That’s the beauty of a workout and nutrition plan like P90X that is designed to give results.  That’s what we all want!

Congrats Tyson!

Tyson’s Story =

In July of 2010 I was finishing a round of P90X, getting married, and finishing up my college education. I was in the best shape of my life and getting ready to start my life with my beautiful high school sweetheart. I was on top of the world.

Now, fast forward a year. The “real world” was setting in I was getting way to comfortable. By comfortable I mean fat and lazy. I was eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, drinking too much too often, and letting myself pack on unwanted weight. I knew I had to make a change, so I asked my wife for Insanity as a birthday present. Two weeks later I had given up and used every excuse to justify it. Over the next few months I would briefly start a round of P90X or Insanity just to pack it up a few days later. I was frustrated and it was affecting my entire life.

I stumbled across the TeamRipped website the week between Christmas and New Year’s. I was drawn in right away and spent hours reading articles, watching videos, and being stunned by the “Hall of Famers” amazing results. I knew the fire had been re-lit, so I decided to start P90X on January 2nd, 2012.

For 90 days I brought it every day and tried to implement all of the advice Coach Wayne was providing on the TeamRipped website. The fire that I felt never went out and I was able to finish my first round thirty-one pounds lighter, 220 lbs to 189 lbs, and my body fat went from 20% to around 8% (+/- 1%). I am now getting ready to start P90X2 and am confident I can take my body even further to the elite level I have only dreamed about in the past.

I want to thank my wife for being very supportive and putting up with me eating chicken and broccoli five nights a week (she does not like chicken), and quoting Tony Horton regularly. She has been amazing and inspires me to work hard every day. I also want to thank Coach Wayne for providing all of the knowledge and motivation we need to make a life changing transformations.

Bring It!

Tyson

Yes, I used shakeology and still do daily! I also used creatine (kre-alkalyn), ON Gold standard whey protein, and 1mr pre-workout.

What supplements did you use Tyson? Did you use shakeology?

Hey Eric! I ate between 1,700 and 1,900 calories a day following the fat shredder percentages.

hey how much calories did you eat for those results cause im right in the same postion of being overweight you use to be

Amazing results! I hope to get really good results over the next 60 days of P90X...I'm already starting to see pretty good results 30 days in...and this time I intend to maintain and not go back to the way I was :) Looking forward to doing P90X2 in the near future as well as Insanity :D

Hey coach, Im unable to afford spending 250 a week on food for the nutrition plan but im doing my best, still keeping it 100% nutritious, i just substitute out certain foods that are less expensive. How closely did you follow your nutrition plan? Do you have any suggestions for substitutes? Im currently on day 9 (fat shedder block) of my training. Any input would be great and thank you for your time. Jesse

Sure Jesse! Look in the "nutrition tips / sample diets" tab!

Thank you all for the kind words and motivation! I am in week one of X2 and loving it. Trying to match the amazing results of the X2 crew!

The changes are great! You CRUSHED IT!!!!!!!

Great results Tyson!Hey coach one more month left for me and get me a place ready in the hall of fame!!:))

Hey coach wayne, i wanna start working out in the morning but if i eat my breakfast right when i wake up, wait at least an hour before working out and then leaving home. that means i have to wake up 2 hours earlier than usual. So is there way to eat my breakfast after i workout but still eat something (that i can workout fast after) so i don't have to wait as long?

Hey Nathan, do what I do and workout before breakfast. Eat after your workout.

Great job Tyson. Need...more...motivation...

hi coach wayne quick q.do u use steak in ur diet? i currently added steak and pinto beans to my diet and seeing great results.thnkx

Hey Jonathan, I eat red meat only on rare occasions. I prefer leaner meats like chicken, fish, etc.

I get off work at 10pm so, I guess my question is will I get better results working out in the morning as opposed to night? Once upon a time, I tried working out in the mornings, but I was less motivated or energized to get a good workout then. But if you suggest it's better I will be more than willing to give it a try & my best.

Yes, it's better for many reasons. Read my article "early morning workouts" for details on why. It will take your body a couple weeks to get used to it, but then you'll never go back. You'll feel better, workout better, sleep better, and get better results.

The reason I work out at night is because I spend my mornings preparing all my meals for the day and it takes a while, then I rush out to get to work on time. If I didn't do it this way, I would not be eating healthy all day. I guess I just want to know if what I am doing now with working out at night and drinking my protein at night is working against me? I feel perfectly fine, but I just want to see results.

What I'm asking Valentin is that instead of staying up so late to workout at 11pm, why not go to bed so that you can get the same amount of sleep, wake up an hour and a half earlier, and reap all the benefits of a morning workout?

I work out after I get off work at 10pm and sometimes 11pm, afterwards, I take one scoop of GNC Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 right after, and I go to sleep around 1am, does this ok, or should I try to work out earlier and not take my protien drink that late at night?

Hey Valentin, I'd suggest you workout in the mornings so that it's not a problem.

My 30!days look nothing like yours lol wow on day 36 just keep pushing great job

Sounds amazingly like my same story! Well done and keep it up!

Awesome job Tyson! You really crushed it those last 30 days. Keep it up man!
