TAP IN

Clever title, huh?  Okay, now I need to write an article to capitalize on it LOL!

I want to talk about “Tapping In” and how important it is to staying the course, pressing on toward our goals, and seeing the MAX results we want.

All to often I see people “Tapping Out” and falling off the wagon.  Most often, it’s the ones who never really Tapped In to begin with.  Look at our teamRIPPED Challenge.  Look at the names of the people who have been posting, participating, and commenting from the beginning.  Most of them are still in it.  They are still CRUSHING it!  They still update us with their progress, their continued results, and they still have the passion.  It’s because they have made full use of the resource we have here — that resource being TEAM!  We are a team!  We are so much stronger than any one person.  That’s why I got into this.  I realized that even though I had a great 90 day transformation, I wouldn’t be able to maintain my intensity and commitment forever in isolation, on my own.  I knew that I needed to connect with others for motivation, encouragement, and to push each other to be our best.

That’s why I started teamRIPPED, the first coaching website with the “team” theme.   And it’s caught on like wildfire!

When people email me to say they’ve been off the wagon and can’t get the motivation to start back up or push play, inevitably it’s a person I’ve never heard of — because they have never been part of our teamRIPPED community.  Sure, they may have made me their coach, but they aren’t on the site, commenting, asking questions, posting their insights and ideas, and encouraging others.  They never got in the ring in the first place, so it made Tapping Out way too easy!  My response is always to tell them to TAP IN!  Get on the site, read the articles, starting with motivational articles, watch the Hall of Fame videos, read people’s stories.  We have a team here that they are invited to be a part of, but they have to step into the ring and get ready to throw down!

Are you losing motivation?  Have you Tapped Out?  Have you never really Tapped In?  Then I leave you with this challenge:

“Ask not what teamRIPPED and Coach Wayne can do for you …. Ask what you can do for teamRIPPED!”  (cheesy huh!! LOL)

Tap In!  Tell someone else “way to go”!  Be a giver, not a taker.  The motivation will take care of itself!

Tapping in as well! I’m on week 7 of P90X now. I haven’t commented on the site but I browse through it as often as I can. As the others have mentioned, I really like going through the TeamRipped site. Here’s to more interaction on my end.

  15. Hung Tran says:

Couldn’t agree more. This article nailed it on the head. I remember when I finished my first round of P90X. I was thinking where do I go from here? I’ve already given the best I got. Now what? TeamRipped nation is where I needed to go. Read through all the articles, watched Coached Waynes youtube videos, watched all the Hall of Fame videos and then finally signed up for the Insanity Asylum Challenge. The icing on the cake was joining the teamRipped Crazies facebook page. That really got me Tapped In to the team atmosphere. I really connected with others who were also pushing hard and ripping it up. My motivation and determination to continue went through the roof. I started waking up at 5am to do my workouts. Never in a million years would I have thought I could wake up that early just to work out. But my team kept me accountable, even when my body was sore, tired and just beat up. Never missed a day of work outs since. I asked questions on the fb page, learned from others, tightened up my diet/nutrition, stepped up my game and kept myself engaged in the process. That was the key to our success!
Don’t be a lurker. That is not enough. Get tapped in and you will all get better results.

    - Hung

Speaking of which – Coach Wayne, post my day 120 pics!!!

    Video coming soon.

I have only been doing p90x since 04 May 2011. It’s only been 3 weeks and I can tell you all that in these few weeks I’ve gone from 143.8 to 136.4 lbs as of this morning. By the time I get to my 30 day mark, I will have lost what it takes most p90x’ers an entire round to complete. This website is a great source of encouragement, knowledge, and accountability. Thanks TeamRIPPED!

  18. Coach Gov says:

I couldn’t agree More with coach! Staying plugged in everyday Has kept me motivated to push play “EVERYDAY”, And let me tell ya the first 90 days my body would come up with a excuse everyday not to workout. Until you reach a fitness level your body seems to just want to stay fat ( those dam fat cell have there own goals) LOL! Anyway staying plugged in got me through most of that keeping me accountable with all of you guys and coach. The Teamripped Community Is a awesome group of individuals ready to motivate anyone with a goal. I am truly blessed to have found such a great team and coach. I totally agree with this post because it describes me. I have been the person to kinda do P90X and then stop before even reaching phase 2. Ever since I joined teamRIPPED not only my motivation and accountability has changed but I talk about it so much that I have my girlfriend motivated and she is doing the workouts with me. I now feel the support from all angles and I don’t ever want to stop. Let’s GO teamRIPPED! and thanks to all of you that keep me motivated.

  26. Fred Lee says:

Great post, Coach! I plug in at least a couple times a day to see what is happening on Teamripped and read all the forum comments. All of you are such an inspiration for me and I love seeing all the transformation videos. You guys really know how to bring it. It makes pushing play everyday that much easier!

  27. ykjohn says:

I don’t know how you do it, but once again your timing and motivation is spot on. My doctors still won’t let me start P90X yet but I am totally committed to the program. I have been on the 50/30/20 diet for 3 weeks and can already see results.
Please TEAM RIPPED, keep it up and I know I will succeed.

  28. JasonShrop says:

Great timing on the article. I have wrestled with the thought the past two days of “is this worth it.” I frequently come read articles but dont contribute. I am “tapping in” to teamRIPPED.

  29. DChapman says:

Hey Coach, nice motivating posting. I am definitely tapped-in and now I am using teamripped.com and you as a coach to zero in on the nutrition and supplementing. Always motivated to do P90X, almost feel like its an addiction now to work out.
I am in between rounds and will be starting my 4th round soon and will be 110% tapped in as I want my maximum results this time. Thanks Coach and everyone from teamripped.com!

  30. Camiel says:

this is so true! As busy as I am, being a single mom…I always make time to work out, even if it’s 10pm I’m pushing play. I’m on day 34! And excited about day 35 and so on. It has not been easy but it has not been impossible either! And that come from reading the nutrition articles or coming on here when I need some motivation…like today on a saturday morning, when I would be sleeping, I’m up early to get my workout on before the little on wakes up! Thanks teamRipped and Coach Wayne….I glad I tapped in! :-)…Coach I know my first week I emailed you daily thanks for responding !!

  31. Doug says:

I am waiting to tap in. Trying to heal my back before I start. It is a long process and I don’t want to reinjure it doing P90X. I keep reading the articles on the website, the e-mails, and looking at the transformation videos to stay motivated and to keep my eye on the prize! This website is invaluable resource and I am so glad it is here to utilize for information and motivation.

  32. Robbie says:

The asylum challenge has been a huge source of motivation for me. There was many a day where I felt too sore to move, and I knew I wasn’t alone when I’d plug into the FB challenge page. I’ve connected with a ton of people I don’t “know” but we’ve encouraged each other to push hard and push through our own personal barriers. I’m proud of what the crazies have accomplished collectively. Thanks again coach.

    Dig Deeper!!!

  33. Lance Lyell says:

Love the title coach! Man you nailed it in this post. You see it again and again. The people with the best results are the ones who are plugged in. I’m telling you guys the biggest tool you have to making this a lifestyle is to stay plugged into teamRIPPED. I can’t believe how blessed I am to have found Waynes youtube video. Joining teamRIPPED is the difference. Wayne has built a team with a great foundation and a team of WONDERUL people who all have the same goals. My parents always told me to cut negative out of your life and surround yourself with positive supportive people. You will never find more of those type of people than here. Taked Wayne’s advice. Don’t sit in the background! Speak up and be part of this amazing team. I promise there is nothing like it out there

  34. B Keeton says:

Great article coach! I have been a sideline participator when it comes to being an encourager and a voice on this site and with my teammates! I help coach basketball and one of the most important parts for the team succeeding is good communication! I have had good success with p90x so far, but I want more! I am starting week 6 of round 4 and my biggest struggle has been diet and muscle mass gain. Working on it every day too! This site has helped me with those struggles in so many ways! Thanks for everything coach and teamripped! I love being a part of this team! Keep up the great work everyone!

  35. GFez says:

Coach Wayne – once again you effectively lay it out for all your team members. I hope your team appreciates the heart and soul you put in to helping your team meet their goals.

Even though I am a coach under a different up line; you have set the bar so high for every other coach out there. I visit your site nearly everyday as motivation for me to Dig Deeper. As I told you, my upline is a colleague at work and I can’t comfortably change coaches.

You are changing people’s lives – and I send many people to your site for motivation. Thanks for your contributions for everyone’s healthy living.

  36. Coach Wayne says:

Thanks GFez! I love that the bond we all share extends beyond downlines and teams. Thanks for checking in here and telling others. I truly appreciate it!

  37. Charlie says:

Thanks Coach I needed that boost. I have been off line for a bit. I start great, I get up to week 5 or 6. then something bumps me off. So I will look at what you recommend. which I read and come to your site everyday. I also look at Josh’s, and others. But I need to plug into the Team. Give a little back…..plug in….
You will see a challenge coming….

Thanks coach for the KICK in the you know what!!
    Charlie

  38. Russell says:

    Great article Coach
Been out for almost 4 weeks, due to starting a 2nd FT job, however I could feel myself/body getting unhealthy again, so quit the 2nd J-O-B and pushed play again this morning, felt so good.

    Russell

  39. Scott Moore says:

I’m tapping in… I read the messages everyday but don’t really post any comments. I have successfully completed two rounds of the X and starting my third/hybrid round. Thanks to coach Wayne and TeamRIPPED for motivating me and keeping me focused. This round for me will be a challenge for me cause I’m due to have my fourth arthroscopy knee surgery within the next week so I’m taking Tony’s advice from the article Coach Wayne wrote and keep a positive attitude and work on the parts that aren’t broke!
Thanks coach Wayne for all your hard work you put into changing everyone’s life!

  40. Well said Coach. Indo, caught your post on FB and am stealing from you because I forgot about it. Round five will be the Wild Thing.

  41. Joel W says:

I was one of those people that never really tapped in. I started P90X about a year ago and made it about 70 days. I lost 30lbs and thought I was happy with my progress. Well, I started my final year of Graduate school and all the stress and poor eating habits ruined my progress. I gained back 22 of the 30lbs and find myself in the same situation starting at 285lbs. I started eating better though and for me that has been my biggest need. I need to get the CD’s again as mine were stolen awhile back. I graduated from Grad School on May 6 and am currently unemployed. I have been working out to get myself ready to start P90X again. I finally bit the bullet and ordered Shakeology. It is the only thing that really makes me feel full. So far I am loving it! Anyways, I need to tap in because I have ran out of excuses. Thank you Coach Wayne.

  42. Kyle says:

Awesome stuff!! I couldn’t agree more with what this article talks about! I am Tapped IN! Thanks Coach for this amazing article!

Remember….T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Achieves More!

  43. pete_fire says:

This is great, I love the energy here @ teamRIPPED. I live on the other side of the world (New Zealand)so I don’t know if me commenting even counts on this site. I started and finished P90X in 2010 but didn’t end up with the results I wanted. And I think it has alot to do with what the above article says about being tapped in. Q? Is it possbile to be coached by someone on this site if I don’t live in the US or Canada?

  44. Coach Wayne says:

Hey Pete, they haven’t opened up the TBB accounts internationally yet, but they are working hard on it. Read the article “teambeachbody global” for more.

  45. Cameron says:

    Funny,
After reading this article… I looked at myself in the mirror and decided that “I” was the one who never “Tapped IN” to begin with. That would probably explain why I kept teetering out.

I guess I need to make a list of things I can do to help the team then. Time to get involved!
    Thanks for the great insight.

  46. CDitch says:

I am tapping in, I have been getting my motivation from this site, and I love it. I have completed Insanity and currently on phase 2 of p 90x. I have lost 55 lbs so far and I am in great shape, thanks team ripped.

  47. Coach Wayne says:

Awesome CDitch! Keep it up!!! Way to go.

  48. Matt R. says:

Well, it looks like its time for me to TAP IN! I’ve been reading the articles but I haven’t really participated in any discussions yet. I’ve been itching to get in here and be a part of the team but I haven’t really known what to say? I need accountability! Thanks coach Wayne for starting this team wildfire.

  49. jheck87 says:

I’m tapping in. Just finished day 1 chest and back and ab ripper x. I’ve been needing the motivation for a while and here it was. Hoping I can get great results like yall. Time to bring it!
