There is probably no way that you have missed the news that P90X3 is COMING! I have only posted about it a couple times in Weekend Updates so I thought it would be a good idea to give a complete post to P90X3. There is a lot we know and quite a bit we don’t know. As always, I am committed to keeping you up to date on any and everything I know about X3. If you’ve missed it, check out the promo teaser clip!
Are you pumped for P90X3?!
Now that looks pretty awesome! I am really excited for X3. It’s a completely new program from Tony and is going to help a lot of people. As with any new program in a series, there will be similarities and differences to P90X and P90X2. You should never expect one program to exactly the same as another. Otherwise, why would you buy it? I know lots of people that have very definite opinions between The Asylum Vol 1 and Vol2. Does that make one better than the other? No! Some people are die-hard Insanity fans and others can’t get enough of P90X. Then some can’t get enough of Chalene and Turbo Fire. Beachbody does an amazing job of providing world-class workouts for all tastes, preferences, ability levels, and interests. For that I am extremely thankful!
What We Know X3 Will Have
- P90X3 will use all the same equipment as the original P90X. Dumbbells or resistance bands and a pull up bar.
- Each workout will show modifications for multiple fitness levels and equipment choices.
- There will be 20 all new workouts! That’s a LOT of variety!
- Workouts are just 30 minutes. You get right down to business with a 2 minute warm up and 28 minutes of work! (A longer warm up is included if you need it.)
- There are multiple program schedules (Classic, Lean, Doubles, and Bulk).
- THIS IS NOT A GRADUATE PROGRAM! Anyone can take on P90X3, even if it is your first program. Likewise, you can still challenge yourself if you are a veteran of BB programs.
- P90X3 will be released on December 10th! Order when it is first released and get it before Christmas. There will NOT be a pre-order option with X3.
What We Don’t Know About X3
We don’t know the specific P90X3 schedule yet or what each workout will be or look like. I know there will be some familiar moves from P90X and X2, as well as all new moves. The workouts themselves are all new. I can’t imagine the nutrition plan will vary that much from other Tony Horton plans. And we know that at teamRIPPED we take nutrition very seriously. So we will all be tracking and using the proper calorie target and macros to hit our goals :-)We also don’t know what each workout will really feel like. Will they leave us wasted each time? Any given workout has some control over that, but you are really the one who will decide how hard to bring it. So don’t let me hear anyone talking about how a 30 minute workout isn’t hard enough. Lift heavier, jump higher, lunge faster, go harder… just BRING IT! (We’ve discussed this a lot with T25. Shorter workouts will be different than an hour long session, but you are always the one that decides if you have a great workout.)
teamRIPPED and P90X3
We are going kick off 2014 with an X3 Challenge Group. This will be a program specific group. So each and every person taking part will be rockin’ the same program. Let’s show Beachbody and the world how teamRIPPED does P90X3!
Our X3 Challenge Group will start Monday, January 6th, 2014. That’s the first Monday of 2014, so that seems like a great day to start. It will give everyone plenty of time to get X3 and get back from any New Years travel. I’ll post more details and start the group as New Years gets closer!
