I had an idea a while back that is finally getting rolling… on teamRIPPED, I love to showcase your results! It’s what fires me up and what fires other people up too. But what happens to all those great results as the years pass? So I got the idea to do a little teamRIPPED Hall of Fame – “Where are they now?” Just to check in and see how their fitness is going and what they have learned along the way.

While the first 90 days are really important for anyone, for this to really change your life, you need it to be a lifestyle. So how about some words of wisdom from some TR vets.

Terry and his wife Danielle.

Terry first came on the scene with the X2 Crew. You can see his original HOF post HERE. But he hasn’t stopped there! He is still bringing it and helping others bring it too. So let’s catch up with Terry!

So Terry how old are you? Just to give people some reference.

31 (almost 32)

When did you first join teamRIPPED?

I first joined Team RIPPED for the original X2 Crew in January of 2012 and still look back at that first Challenge Group as the reason I have been as successful as I have with fitness and Coaching.

What program did you use to get your results?

I have used literally every program in that Beachbody offers. I cannot say definitively which helped me reach by best results, as I have had success with so many of them. I think if I had to answer, I would say P90X2. I still look at it as the pinnacle of Beachbody. As my life has changed, shorter workouts have been great, but X2 still stands alone as my favorite.

What are you doing now with your fitness?

I am currently kicking the crap out of Insanity Max: 30. I started a Challenge Group with my team and we are loving the program. Shaun T. was able to pack Insanity into a 30 minute program in a way that I think T25 failed to do. In just 3 weeks, I am seeing crazy results that have me pumped to see where I am at in March. I am already thinking about a Max: 30/X3 hybrid.

How have your goals changed since your first transformation?

At this point, my goal is to get as absolutely RIPPED as possible. Some of the original X2 Crew guys, along with some newcomers are running the Tough Mudder in Western NY in August, which is my home turf as I am from Rochester. I feel the added responsibility of setting the bar for the team. Which has me laser focused on kicking absolute ass this year.

Nice goals!  How do you view working out now? Tell me all about it.

My workout habits have not changed at all in the four years since I first picked up P90X in March of 2010. I workout every day, no excuses. The Team RIPPED mentality has completely infected my habits

I like to hear that! Have you ever gain weight back since your transformation?

My weight has fluctuated between 180-195 for the past 4 years depending on the time of year and what is going on with me personally and professionally. I am a high school social studies teacher, and I have switched schools 4 times in the past 4 years. I was hired at my home high school this year, which is the job of my dreams, and has made staying on course nutritionally and fitness-wise so much easier. I taught in the Rochester City School district for the previous 3 years, so the move to the suburbs has done wonders for my physical and mental health.

Big question, what is your WHY then and now? Has it changed?

My WHY has shifted slightly from 4 years ago. My original motivation came from wanting to be in better shape to keep up with my daughter (she is 7 now). At this point, that is no longer an issue. Fitness and health have become a part of my normal routine. As a Coach, my WHY has shifted to supporting and motivating others. When I am leading a Challenge Group, I feel the responsibility of setting the bar for my team members. I am trying to lead by example.

I can’t thank Terry enough for sharing with us! He is a BEAR when it comes to fitness and no one can discount his dedication. I’m always excited to see what he is doing as I catch his updates on Facebook. Check out his current transformation video! You won’t be disappointed.

I hope you got some perspective from this look at where Terry has taken his fitness. It is definitely part of his life and there is no looking back. For more on Terry, feel free to check out his website! http://teambearfitness.com/
