n.

1. Something of the wrong size or shape for its purpose.
2. One who is unable to adjust to one’s environment or circumstances or is considered to be disturbingly different from others.

Michael had seen some good results doing P90X on his own, but had never really given it his 100% effort.  He had lost weight but wanted to really push himself to build some muscle tone and get ripped.  He still considers himself a work in progress, but check it out.  He really stepped it up a notch with the Misfits and should be proud of the way he looks now!  Way to go man!

Michael’s Story =

Summer of 2008 was the turning point for me.  Life was good, a beautiful wife, a new born, a 4 yr old that is adorable, and we love to eat.   What else can one ask for?  Until the fat began to accumulate.  My waist went from 36 to 38 to 40.  My weight was at 200lbs.  I was sleepy, groggy, no energy, but life is good.  That is what I kept telling myself.

One day, playing with my kids, I ran upstairs piggy-backing my 4 year old and holding the baby.  I was so out of breath and so wiped out.  Then I realized, I had been really tired in the afternoon.  I AM SO FAT!
Like everyone else, I saw a P90X infomercial and thought, “what the heck?!  Give it a try.”.  I had tried a lot of things before, but this one is different.
I started off doing the workouts, but not so much on the diet.  I was just eye-balling it.  After 90 days, I shrank to waist size 36, and weighted 190lbs.  Yeah, but not so much.  Then, I did it again and again, but never finish a full 90 days.
One day, I stumbled upon Teamripped.com.  I was hooked.  I love the layout of the site and also the info on there.  So, I started a treat on the forum, and held myself accountable for 90 days.  I did it.  I went to waist size 33, and weight 180lbs.
Then, Coach Wayne started Team Misfits, and of course, I know a group support and accountability is important.  I joined.  During the course of 90 days, many time I wanted to stop, cause I am burned out and tired.  But the gang kept me going.  We ended up doing weight vest in many of the workouts, and pushed each other to the next level. My biggest achievement was Jump Knee Tuck, wearing a 20 lbs vest, in 30 seconds, jumped 60 tucks. After 90 days, I am at waist 32 and 170lbs.  I am happy.  I am healthier.  I made new friends.
So, am I done?  No.  P90X2 is the new pain I am putting myself thru.  It feels like Day 1 P90X again. But, with X2 crew, accountability, we shall prevail again.
See you again in 90 days.
To be continued………….
