I am so excited to get to celebrate with Roger Miller again. He has WON a quarterly prize in the Beachbody Challenge! THAT’S $25K in his pocket!

***This is a little different of a post for a Tuesday, but I had to get this out to all of teamRIPPED ASAP! Little teaser… coming tomorrow… Some special Coach Wayne Tempo workouts :-)

Roger M. is now in the running for the Grand Prize of the Beachbody Challenge and we need to help him out!

Voting is now open and I wanted to ask all of teamRIPPED to take 5 minutes today (and each day until June 2nd) to head over to TBB and vote for Roger! Let’s give him the full and complete support of the teamRIPPED Nation! In the previous sections of the competition it has been hard for teamRIPPED. We can consistently put multiple members of teamRIPPED in the Beachbody Challenge. That has divided our votes. Now we have the chance to rally behind one member of teamRIPPED! Let’s show Beachbody who knows how to BRING IT!

I really pumped for Roger for a lot of reasons. First off, his transformation is AWESOME! He didn’t let a number (age) hold him back. He didn’t let tough health issues stop him. He dug DEEP with Insanity and got unreal results! I am also so excited for him because he has been such a long time member of teamRIPPED! He’s family! There is no way I couldn’t help out. Roger also coaches many people himself and is always looking to help others reach a healthier and happier life. This would be such a fitting way to show him support for all his hard work!

All it takes is logging into TBB.com with your account and clicking his name in the voting section! The LINK is below! Easy. You can also vote for 1 female Grand Prize and for 1 male and female for the Ultimate Health Transformation. You can only vote once in a 24 hour period, so try to remember to log in daily. Each vote helps!

From his Beachbody Challenge bio on TeamBeachbody.com:

I am 47 and a father of two children (Christopher 25 and Andrea 19) and work as an Aerospace Engineer. At about the age of 30 I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), a fairly debilitating form of arthritis. Daily activities; walking sitting & sleeping were hard, if not impossible to do without taking prescription pain medication. At the age of 46 I was tipping the scale at about 212lbs with no end in sight. I wore a size 36 waist pants, but knew that before the month was over I would have no choice but to buy a size 38. At this point I was done. Although I was happy with what I accomplished in life, I was not happy with myself; that is being kind. I hated what I saw when I looked in the mirror and refused to wear anything that didn’t cover my entire body, even at the beach.

Feeling disgusted with myself; physically and mentally, and my son going into the military, I reflected on how good I used to feel and the things I could do. I knew that as time past my son, and eventually my daughter would get married and have kids. One thing that I loved about being a father was participating in everything that my kids thought about doing. Unfortunately, the condition I was in was rapidly deteriorating, and based on how quickly the Anklosing Spondylitis was ravaging my body, I had to do something or would either be immobile or would just sit and watch life pass me by. With my son going into the military, I decided I would get into better shape than he did while at boot camp; it was a challenge, but only I knew it was on.

Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is a debilitating form of arthritis. My hips, spine, neck and shoulders were slowly fusing together. My body was totally inflexible and it hurt to just move at times. Like I mentioned, daily activities; walking sitting & sleeping were hard, if not impossible to do without taking prescription pain medication. My greatest fear was that I would fail. To fail would have been absolutely devastating. I was a man after-all, and the path my body (and mind) was on was destructive. I thought my greatest challenge was taking the fit test. My hips and back were already in pain that day, and the thought of jumping around was just plain stupid or if you will “Insane”. Once I completed the fit test, I was exhausted, yet my body actually felt better than when I started. However, I quickly realized that nutrition was my greatest challenge. So, I followed the nutrition plan that came with the program and drank Shakeology everyday. Beachbody made the whole process easy!

Today, I am in the best shape of my life. I have become a Beachbody coach to help others that feel the way I used to; what a miserable person I was and I will never forget it. I have also become an Insanity and P90X Certified Trainer and work with people from the military, youth sports, aspiring athletes and those that are already in shape. However, my greatest joy has been to “pay it forward” to people that struggle each and every day. People that go to Weight Watchers are already started on the right path, and to show them that Beachbody has a workout program for everybody, no matter what level of fitness they are in makes a huge difference in helping them progress towards their goal. My most rewarding has been helping the “average” person realize that through small changes in their diet and just a bit of exercise can pay off huge dividends in a short period of time. I am no longer the person I was. I am now the man I was intended to be.

Thank you in advance for all your help! Roger will get to be on stage at Summit in June with all the other finalists… let’s do everything we can to make sure that it is his name that is called as the Team Beachbody Challenge GRAND PRIZE WINNER!

**If you need a TBB account and don’t have one, feel free to make me your Coach. It’s always free and it will allow you to stay more plugged in with teamRIPPED and vote for Roger!**
