Hey teamRIPPED!
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and is back at full throttle on the workouts and diet. Consistency is the key to results. I don’t recommend cheating, especially if you are still working toward your results, because it really slows your progress.
BUT … even if you give in and indulge every once in a while (like on Labor Day), the key is to get right back on the wagon immediately and push yourself. I see it time and time again where a weekend of slacking (skipping workouts or caving on the diet) turns into a week of slacking, then a month of slacking, and before you know it you’ve lost everything you had worked so hard to gain.
Promise yourself you won’t let that happen! You deserve better!
The fall is one of those times where motivation typically falls off (now that swimsuit weather is ending). People are thinking about football, hoodies, tailgating, and enjoying “comfort foods” (aka junk foods). Those are the people that yo-yo every year, doing New Year’s resolutions to try and get back what they’ve lost through the fall. How about you break that trend and stop thinking of fitness or health as only something to do to look good in the spring / summer? How about you focus on the big picture — living a healthy fit lifestyle so that YOU can enjoy life to the fullest, not so that you can look decent 4 months out of the year.
I’ve been able to maintain my results for well over 2 years now because I made that mental shift from short-term results to long term outlook. And it feels so good to not be in a constant roller coaster of guilt and frustration at my lack of discipline (which is what I had gone through for years before starting P90X). If I can do it, so can you! And believe me, it’s worth it!
Really quickly I want to make a promise to all of you — as I have done since day 1, I will continue to post ORIGINAL content for you. I treat teamRIPPED as a community. I see more and more people out there who set up websites / blogs and then do nothing more than copy / plagiarize the articles of others just to give their site content. I don’t use teamRIPPED as a phoney site to simply try and sell something. I want to give all of you the best information possible, based on personal experience and what I’ve learned as I research nutrition, fitness, supplements, and equipment.
So while you may see MY articles getting re-posted by unscrupulous wannabes, you can KNOW that when you visit teamRIPPED you are reading the unique, original work of the teamRIPPED nation! No copy/pasting! In fact, if / when you see it, let them know you already saw that content on teamRIPPED a few weeks earlier than when they posted it LOL!
