Hey teamRIPPED!
Yesterday was the best day of the entire year, as I’m sure you all noticed, right? Yes, it was my wife’s birthday :-). Happy birthday sweetie! You are awesome!
Now down to the business at hand ….
I hope everyone is having a great week! I’ve had a total blast with everyone who has hooked up via MyFitnessPal. Good grief, I was definitely missing out by doing all my tracking solo. Having a whole community of people doing it together is awesome for holding each other accountable and learning what those are doing who are having success. It’s a great way to learn. Read my article from earlier this week if you missed it = MyFitnessPal.
My YouTube Video is now over 700,000 views, so thank you all for sharing that and making it so popular. It’s been a big factor in spreading the word about our teamRIPPED family, and once people find out about us, of course they love us and join us. I get messages EVERY DAY from people who say how helpful teamRIPPED is for nutrition advice, finding groups to plug in with, and the motivation to keep pushing play. That’s exactly why I started doing this! And all of your support and interaction is why we are rocking the world of Beachbody, P90X, Insanity, etc. So keep spreading the word. Thanks!
Did everyone see the awesome RIPPED results of Karl, who is 61 years young? He rocked it! If you didn’t see his story, here it is = 61 and RIPPED! I’m so proud to know Karl and call him a friend. He’s an inspiration to us all!
In “P90X2 Update” news, I’m still crushing it, along with the over 600 people in our teamRIPPED X2 Crew. The more I do it, the more I love it. I have completed 3 weeks of the foundation phase and 4 weeks of the first set of Strength workouts. I am now going to do 2 weeks with the Performance phase, and then I’ll go back to the Advanced Strength workouts to finish up the round. My review of the foundation phase (if you missed it) is here = X2 Foundation Review.
I will refrain from doing a full Strength Phase review until I’ve given the Advanced workouts their due course. But I know I’ll be raving about it, because my results from the first Strength workouts (the ones that come with the base kit) were AWESOME! I am stronger in every way. No, my biceps didn’t get smaller LOL (some people think that doing these difficult synergistic exercises are not as effective as standing bicep curls for an hour). In fact, I think everyone will be very impressed with my Day 90 results, but I’ll hold off until Day 90 and let you be the judge.
It was rather funny to do the PAP Upper workout for the first time since starting P90X2 (which I did Tuesday). And I gotta say … man was I a sissy when I filmed that!! LOL!! I was strong in the major muscle groups last year, and I looked great (thanks to P90X and Insanity!), but I was so weak in my core and supporting muscle groups that PAP crushed me in filming. Those who have seen my funny YouTube outtakes from that workout know what I’m talking about!! LOL! I love it when Tony says “Wayne …. Wayne …. you’re holding up America Wayne!!”, and “Wayne suffered immensely on that one, as I’m sure some of you may have as well.” … Good times :-)
Anyways, back to the story … I was a little nervous to do PAP Upper Tuesday morning because I remember how hard it was and how it totally kicked my butt. But thanks to the foundation and core improvements I’ve made over the past 7 weeks with X2, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I remembered. Granted, I was not already tired from the rehearsal before hand (like at filming where they ran us through most of the workout before hand to practice), but still, I found it to be no problem to do heavier weights on the lift moves (30’s on Renegade rows, 35’s on the shoulder presses), and I actually knocked out extra reps on the towel pullups cuz I was feeling to good to stop at 10. And I was able to do the full time every round on the dreaded med ball plank and superman without all the groaning and whining like I did on the video. Geez!!! Those were my nemesis! Not any more! I guess X2 is working :-)
Remember people. This isn’t a sprint. It’s a lifestyle change. Setting short goals is critical … like “how ripped can I get in 90 days?”. That’s wonderful. It forces us to push ourselves to the max. But it isn’t over at Day 90 … or at least it shouldn’t be. That should be the launching point for a new trajectory of life. It is hard to get on the right path, but once you are on it, STAY ON IT!! Keep living each day with purpose. Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Make it count gang!
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
