Vivek’s Story in his own words:
“I was always working out since a couple of years and was not paying attention to Nutrition. I tried staying hungry to lose fat (note: not Weight, just fat) and my energy drained each day and I was barely able to workout for 3 days during the week. I was ~170lbs.
I noticed a commercial for P90X and thought of trying them out. But I did not start until I had the videos for almost 2 years. Last year in July, I wanted a change of pace so I pulled out the Chest/Back DVD and made it all the way through, with very few reps and paced myself. I was sore the next day. I thought to myself… hmmmm… I was able to pace myself and get one day out, how about try Plyometrics based on the schedule. I did try Plyo and I must say, I was sore again the next day, only lower half this time. I somehow went through the first week of P90X.
I repeated the week and starting the nutrition plan in the 2nd week. Before I knew it, 3 weeks were out and I was in the recovery phase.
Long story short, I took one day at a time and I completed 90 days. My goal was never to lose weight, I was 5lbs down though.
I did a hybrid round with Insanity after P90X and completed the Asylum challenge for 30 days. I am now on a P90X/Insanity/Asylum hybrid.
