Troy’s Story in his own words:

What you’re seeing here are the results of almost a year of hard work and dedication to fitness and nutrition.  I’ve been working out with P90X and Insanity now for 10 months. But let’s go back to how I started.  I was a guy in my early 30’s who had slowly packed on a few pounds over the past several years.   I wasn’t the worst junk food addict, and I actually did moderate exercise regularly.   But I still felt and looked out of shape.   I could see that I was on track to grow and age into a soft, weak, average, middle-aged, suburban, domesticated man.  There’s nothing terribly wrong with that, but it’s not what I wanted for myself.

    Starting in January 2011 reversed my downward slide.  I thought was already eating healthy before,  but I learned how to master a fat shredding diet with the P90X Nutrition Plan and some advice from my Coach Wayne.  I thought I was already fairly active, but I started Bringing It with Tony Horton 6 days a week!  P90X put all the pieces of a successful fitness program together for me.  Through it all I stayed plugged into teamRIPPED.com. I learned a lot about fitness and stayed very motivated.  90 days later I was down 10 pounds with more strength, and energy than ever before!
    What a confidence builder!  I knew I could tackle INSANITY next, so I committed to working out with Shaun T for 2 months.  I thought I couldn’t possibly lose any more weight after P90X. I was just looking for a new challenge and wanted to improve my muscle tone.   What I learned about myself by doing Insanity is that my natural body type is optimal for this type of maximum cardio workout.  I felt major improvements in endurance from one week to the next.  I found out that my physical limits are way beyond where I thought they were!    After 60 days of Insanity I had torched another 10 pounds of fat.  My body fat decreased to 7% and my abs finally began to emerge.
    This is where the fun began.  I designed a P90X/P90X Plus/Insanity Hybrid program for my 3rd round.  I also changed my diet to a mass gaining plan.  My goal was simple – to get as ripped as possible, become a Beachbody Coach and start sharing my great results and passion for these programs with others.  I’m proud to be a new coach in the teamRIPPED family!  Please visit me at my site TeamTopFitness.com
