Nick has been a friend of mine for almost as long as I’ve been a coach. He plugged in with the teamRIPPED family early on, and he knew he had a long way to go in his journey. He was very heavy and had developed a lifestyle of bad habits that was going to take a lot of discipline to change.
Nick has stuck with us the whole time, going through nearly every Beachbody program at this point! And while he’s had struggles along the way, he’s developed a passion for health and fitness that is contagious. I’m so proud of how far you’ve come Nick, and how you continue to push yourself on the nutrition to go even farther.

Nick’s Story:
My name is Nick Allemond and here is my story.
I have always been an athlete my entire life. Ate pretty descent. Then I joined the US Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman. I spent majority of my time in the Navy attached to the Marines. I was very very active when I was with them.
When I got out of the Navy I injured my back and was told I had degenerative disc disease. So I quit doing everything. I got married, working and kids also consumed my life.
Both my mother and father were obese, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and each had open heart surgeries. My father is dead and my mother lives in a nursing home for health reasons.
Work and life just started to consume me. People were also amazed at how much I ate at a singled sitting so I just tried to eat more and more. I thought it was a joke. Little did I know I was the joke. I’d eat a family size bag of chips with 2 cans of frito lay jalapeno cheddar cheese dip with a 2liter of Dr. Pepper with a 6 pack of candy bars three daya a week for an afternoon snack. Going back it was thousands of calories. I just hated who I was and who I had become.
I guess I never even realized how much my wife and kids never wanted to be around me. We never talked or communicated. They were too worried to upset me. I would wake up after they left for school and work and then I would get ready not to have to talk to anyone. Then when I did get to work I would just snack and eat and eat and snack until I had customers. I really didnt want to do anything. I was just eating myself into a depression. I just didnt want to be around anyone and no one wanted to be around me.
One day I had a really bad day at the office and I wenr straight home and ate instead of going to a function where 30+ people were waiting for me. I didnt care who I upset. My best friend asked my daughter where daddy was and her response was “momma says daddys mad again” the next day he was at my house trying to figure out what I had become. His response to me was that my family would rather avoid me than be around me. The very next day I pulled P90X out of my closet and never looked back. I started Shakeology after my first round of P90X and the rest is history. I started a little over 320# and wearing 46″ pants. After two years and a few Beachbody workouts I am around 260# and can wear most 36″ pants. I have been closer to my wife and kids. Especially since they are 7 and 9 this Is when they need me the most. That means more to me than ANYTHING!
I also wanted to prove that I could get rid of the “its in my genes” theme. I was too scared to go to the Dr. My last latest labs were
Blood pressure 110/70
Cholesterol 124
Glucose 92.
