Mo crushed it gang. He is ripped and shredded. But it was a journey getting here. He started down the path, then got off. Then got re-inspired and worked his tail off to get back to where he had been …. and beyond. He’s the perfect example of what can happen if you think of this as a 90 day sprint, or if you make the mental shift to realizing that you want to be fit and healthy for life.
Congrats Mo! You earned this!
Mo’s Story =
I’m going to try and make this as short as possible.
My name is Mo Hashem, and Beachbody has changed my life. When I was younger I was always chunky, and never in shape. I played many sports, but never was a stand out athlete. I thought I was healthy, I thought I new what fitness was, and I thought I knew what eating healthy meant.
I always wanted something more in my life, but didn’t do anything to change that. I closed myself off from the rest of the world, and became a very pessimistic person. In my early days of college, it only got worse. I thought I was bi-polar, had a serious case of depression, and was in a very low place. I smiled all the time when I was young, but that was something I lost as years went by. I reflected on what the world would be like if I didn’t exist, because I “have” the worst luck in the world.
As far as fitness and nutrition goes, I was clearly uneducated. The knowledge I have now, would have been very useful back in my earlier days. Back in the day I would eat for happiness, and it started to show. Once I realized I needed to lose weight I would overtrain my body, and starve myself, for results.
It wasn’t until I found P90X in 2009 when I started to learn more about health and fitness. I failed at P90X, but slowly adapting the foods I ate. Being in college during this time led me to have the wrong priorities. Then a friend introduced me to Insanity and as a accountability buddy, that’s when the fire started burning inside me.
My fiancé said that “I was addicted to how fast I could transform my body,” and she was right. After years and years of being unhappy, unmotivated, and seeing no results, I was more than enthusiastic! Let me remind you that I was still in college at this time, so my priorities were still not prioritized. I could go on and on over my life story, about my successes and failures, but I won’t put you through all that.
The past three years have been a roller coaster, but has transformed me into a completely different person. I have experienced MANY setbacks, and I have struggled GREATLY. Those setbacks haven’t stopped me, and I am still pushing play. I have gained a new confidence in life, I want to be that leader for others, I’m setting goals for things I want to accomplish, I got excited to read a book, but most importantly I have never felt this great in my entire life. Beachbody has given me a new life, and I can’t thank these products, services, or people enough.
And now it’s my time to give back, helping others achieve their goals.
Thanks,
– M0
