n.

1. Something of the wrong size or shape for its purpose.
2. One who is unable to adjust to one’s environment or circumstances or is considered to be disturbingly different from others.

Troy has absolutely been CRUSHING it!  He also happens to live right here in Oklahoma near me (where there isn’t anything to do except exercise or eat, so people are either fat or ripped LOL!)  Troy has also been one of the unofficial leaders of the Misfits with his interaction, encouragement and inspiration.  I’m so proud to show off Troy’s results!

Troy’s Story =

Year after year, as most of us do, I kept setting a New Year’s goal to get back in shape. I went through several gym memberships and thought that the routines that I put together where the ones that would get me to my goals.  After picking up every bodybuilding magazine I could find, I knew I had designed the perfect routine.  Much to my dismay and what I thought was hard work, nothing happened.  I became bored. I hated how I looked!  If the routines worked for all people in these magazines, why didn’t they work for me?

January 1, 2010.  I set another goal to get back in shape.  I had ballooned up to 252 lbs and had a 42 inch waist.  I had to do something different.  I wasn’t sleeping through the night anymore due to having constant heartburn issues.  While up watching TV and drinking several Sprites to calm my stomach, I kept seeing infomercials for P90X and was always quickly changing the channel.  Do they really think I am going to spend my hard earned money to workout in the comfort of my own home?  I thought come on, who are they kidding, the people in those videos didn’t get like that from any silly DVD workout.  They had to be lifting weights in addition to whatever they were selling us.  Finally, one night I just laid there in pain and watched the whole infomercial.  The rest is history.

February 1, 2010.  I officially started my first round of P90X and my new diet.  The first few initial workouts shocked the heck out of me.  I was doing pushups on my knees and pull-ups on a chair.  It really made me realize that there was something different to this program that a gym couldn’t touch.  I had good days and bad days.  Every day I pushed play, and every day I tried to eat as healthy as I could.  I say that because I didn’t follow the nutrition plan and cut my calories down to around 1,100 per day.  By the time I finished my first round on May 2, 2010 my ending weight was 176 lbs.  76 lbs lost!

March 2010-August 2011.  I stopped all forms of exercise and eating right.  I fell back into my old habits.  My weight had gone back up to 232 lbs.  My clothes didn’t fit anymore.  I was in need of buying new pants with a 40 inch waist.  One of my buddies at work, David Snapp, talked me into getting back in shape with him and recommended Insanity.  I reluctantly started this program on August 29th with him and I was hooked.  Insanity brought the fire back into my life.  I finished a round of this with David.  I owe him a lot for getting me back on track.  However, at the end of my round of Insanity, I still didn’t have the look I wanted.

September 2011.   I knew P90X had given me that look I wanted and I needed it back.  I jumped on the internet and started burning up Google in search of the answer.  I found teamRIPPED!  and Wayne Wyatt.   All I can say is that was the look I had to have!  I saw that he had a challenge coming up starting October 10, 2011 with a group called the Misfits.  What a perfect fit for me!  I didn’t have a Facebook account so I got one and started to get ready for the challenge.  I ordered Shakeology, became a coach, and started planning my fat shredder diet, which is something  I had never done before.

October 10, 2011.  The day that has forever changed my life.  King Maverick and Wayne Wyatt were the leaders of our group.  I read and reread every post they made.  This is the day I started Shakeology and the day I was introduced to my extended family.  I started the challenge at 212lbs and 25% bodyfat.  I brought it every day and with my nutrition being dialed in, I saw changes come quickly which pushed me that much harder!  The support and friendships I have made are for life.  I will never go back to the old me.  I ended the challenge on January 8, 2011 at 178lbs and 7% bodyfat.  The support of my fellow Misfits ensured I stayed on track.  I had no cheat meals and pushed play every day, whether it was in a hotel room or at home, I was focused and on track.  I logged every workout on WOWY.  Over the 90 days, I averaged 1,835 calories at a 50%/31%/19% split.  I tracked everything I ate and all my workouts and exercises, each time trying to make improvements!  Shakeology and following the fat shredder diet made all the difference in the world this round.  I am an advocate of Shakeology and will be on it for life!  Even though the challenge has ended, a new group has started.  We will keep the Misfits intact and moving forward, changing lives forever!   Last week, I sent my story into beachbody for the monthly challenge.  I am 40 yrs old and am in the best shape of my life!

January 16, 2011.  P90X2 with the X2 Crew.  Time to bring it to the next level.  I’ve adjusted my calories up to 3,000 per day at a 40%/40%/20% split.  I will add some muscle this round.  A special shout out to Kalib Ford, Jose Alvarez, and my wife for giving me the extra push when I needed it!  Can’t wait to see what results come out of X2!  My goal is to be in the next infomercial, and I will give it 150% every time I push play to make this a reality!  Decide. Commit. Succeed.
