Have any of you put on weight after high school?  Yeah, most of us have!  Well, Michael is no exception.  He fell into that typical American trap of fast food and little exercise and couldn’t believe how out of shape and overweight he got in a short amount of time during college.  He determined to set his life on a different trajectory, and he did — teamRIPPED style!  Watch and see for yourself ….
 

Michael’s Story in his own words:

“While I was in college, one of my biggest weaknesses was the convenience of fast food.  Whether it was grabbing chicken nuggets on the way to class or McRibs on the way to work, I never cooked anything at home.  Fast food was cheap and delicious, or so I thought.  After I graduated and started restocking my wardrobe, I found that I had gained 25lbs over fours years and felt horribly out of shape.  I turned to Weight Watchers shortly after graduating and lost the 25lbs I gained in six months before my wedding.  I was on cloud nine!  What didn’t happen during the weight loss period was the addition of muscle that I lost during those years of inactivity.
Hello, P90X!  I actually hadn’t heard of the program until I heard Mike & Mike talking about it on ESPN radio one morning.  Once I started paying attention and doing some research, I found so many dramatic transformations that fueled my desire to start the program.  I began my first program in early 2010.  My first round was incredibly challenging, but it provided me with a growing amount of confidence as I progressed through.  After I completed the program, my wife and I went camping in the Adirondacks to go hiking. My first trip there two years earlier caused me days of soreness and multiple stops on the way up the mountain to catch my breath.  After doing P90X, that same mountain that cause me problems seemed like a walk in the park!  I could definitely see where the plyometrics workout helped in that aspect.
Fast forward to today.  I’m currently in the middle of round three and still dedicating myself to the program.  Every day adds another challenge and I never get sick of Tony’s jokes, no matter how cheesy they are.  For me, P90X is going to be a lifetime commitment.  I may take breaks and try Tony’s One-on-One workouts or Insanity, but I will commit myself to the program, the diet and Beachbody.
