Merry Christmas to You All!

I love getting to write this post each year! Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s time for perspective, reflection, and family.

Wherever you are celebrating this weekend, I hope you think on this. Christmas is when the all powerful, all knowing God of everything sent his son to earth to make a way for us. God is wholly perfect and righteous. He can’t stand in the presence of sin. So as sin entered the world, we became separated from God. Nothing any of us can do could make us right.

But that is where Christmas changes it. God sent Jesus to earth to save us. The Messiah! Jesus would live a perfect life and take our place. Making a way for us that “whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17. 

We don’t have to get everything figured out first, we don’t have to make ourselves perfect before we come, nothing you’ve done will cause Jesus not to love you, we just have to come – believe in Jesus – and give Him our lives.

Jesus Christ was born, and that’s why Christmas is my favorite day.  It’s the day that all of history looked forward to, and all of history since has looked back at.

I hope you celebrate God’s gift today!
