After a back injury, Marlon let himself go.  He wasn’t happy with how out of shape he was, and wanted to make a change.  He did a round of Insanity, followed by a hybrid round of Insanity and P90X.  The Insanity definitely helped him drop some body fat, but once he mixed the P90X resistance training with his continued Insanity workouts in round 2, he really got that ripped and muscular look.  Check it out!

Marlon’s Story =

“It all started back in 2010 when I injured my back and I had to stop exercising for a long time.  I was diagnosed with sciatica.  Sciatica is caused by a herniated disc.  The pain was excruciating.  Before this injury, I had been enrolled at the gym for many years.  But I was not following any kind of exercise or nutrition plan so my results were very mediocre.   I had spent years at the gym thinking that “six packs and being ripped” was something only magazine models  and athletes could do.  I was never even close to being in the best shape of my life.  During my treatment, my drinking and my eating habits got completely out of hand and with very little exercise, I started gaining weight.  For the first time in my life I had love handles and I had gone up in pant size.  I was in complete denial but deep inside, I knew I was getting fatter and it was only going to get worse.  I started showing up at the gym again but just like before, no real progress.  To make things worse, I thought I could out-exercise poor eating.  I was dead wrong!

In 2011, I came across a program called Insanity.  My fiancée had heard about it and wanted to try it.  She purchased it and dragged me into it.  First day was the fit test; I would like to call it, REALITY CHECK!  That’s when it really hit me that all of those years playing soccer and going to the gym meant nothing.  I was out shape.  I decided to complete Insanity with my fiancée despite the fact that I still had back pain.  I kept pressing play and modifying many of the moves.  At the end of the 60 days, I had decent results.  I knew that I had committed to the workouts but not my nutrition.  Completing Insanity made me believe that I could get in the best shape of my life.

After watching so many P90X infomercials on TV, I decided to order it.  I was skeptical at first, and I did some research and found people who had gone through the programs and had gotten great results.  I surrounded myself with those who were successful and knew how to get the most out of Beachbody’s Programs.  I found an awesome Coach that help me with my nutrition and encouraged me to push play everyday.  This time, I committed to my Coach, my workouts, and my nutrition.   I was serious.  I even gave Shakeology a chance.  It turned out to be one of the wisest decisions I made during this program.  I believed so much on Shakeology that I got my fiancée and my mom on it.  The road was not easy, but Coach Wayne kept me motivated.  At day 90, I knew I was in the best shape of my life.  I was able to do things I couldn’t do when I was 20.  And I owe it all to Coach Wayne and the members of Team Ripped.

I am now a Coach and I will never forget all the help and support I got from Coach Wayne and Team Ripped.  I look forward to helping other people and sharing all the things I learned on my journey.  There is no specific destination, just goals to achieve.  I made this a lifestyle change and I am continuing this journey.  Right now, I am doing a bulking round hybrid of P90X/Insanity/1-on-1’s.  I will do P90X2 after.  I am forming my team at marlonarguetafitness.com

Thank you to everyone at Team Ripped, and thank you Coach Wayne!”
