Lance (aka Double L) just knocked out an amazing first round of P90X. Earlier in 2010 he was tipping the scales at 267, and started running to lose weight. It worked to an extent. He dropped weight, even did a half-marathon, but was still unhappy with the way his body looked from just running and trying to thin down. He started Day 1 of P90X at 240 lbs and 33% body fat on his 5’10” frame. He had a lot of upper body muscle, but it was hidden! After bringing it big time for 90 days, he’s dropped the body fat to reveal his muscular upper body! He finished round 1 at 223 and 20% body fat, and he’s ready to roll right into round 2 to take his results to the next level. Can’t wait to see the continued transformation! Double L’s Story in his own words:
“At my heaviest I weighed 267 lbs but when I started P90X in September I had just finished my first 1/2 marathon and was down to 240 lbs. I had lost 27 pounds before P90X but still looked horrible (see the Day 1 pics for proof!). Also I was running about 20 miles a week for 6 months and did not see the results I saw in 90 days with P90X. I lost less weight with P90X but looked a million times better. So total weight loss to date is 44 lbs but total weight loss on P90X is 17 lbs. This program is amazing. It was awesome to see my families reaction at Christmas this year. Everyone was freaking out. It was also funny to hear them telling me to “live” a little and eat junk food. I guess they think because I’m eating healthy I’m miserable…haha.
The most important thing about myself is that I am a husband and a father of two beautiful girls. My wife and daughters are everything to me. Thats one of the reasons I decided to get healthy. Growing up, and even in college, I never had any problems with my weight. Not sure what happened but after I got married my metabolism couldn’t keep up with my eating habits. One trip to Disney with the family three years ago and seeing a photo of me at the pool is all it took to realize I had let things get out of hand. The scale showed I weighed 267 pounds! I immediately started boxing when I returned home and in a year I had got down to 218 until I fractured my wrist. I started eating bad again but continued to workout and weighed 255 pounds when I ran my first 1/2 marathon in May of this year. I may have been able to run 13.1 miles but I was still obese and not happy with my fitness.
Thats when I saw P90X. It looked like everything I was looking for. Fitness, muscles, and flexibility! I decided to try it out and do a blog to keep myself motivated. I started P90X on September 27, 2010 and I am amazed by how good I feel and how much I have changed in such little time. The video above shows the amazing difference between day 1 and day 90.
My blog and facebook page have drawn up so much interest in the products that I decided to see if I could help people with their fitness. Turns out there is a way. So 40 days into the program I decided to become a coach and so far it has been an amazing experience and I couldn’t be more excited to help people find the success I have had so far!
