Chad H. is a Hall of Famer that I have a ton of admiration for.  He not only has put in the work to totally transform his life, but he’s got a contageous enthusiasm that makes everyone around him more fired up.  He was part of our Asylum Legends (he did the wakeboarding tricks), and he came to Tulsa and we had a blast in the Warrior Dash together … his wife Lori also came — Hi Lori :-)

Anyways, I am glad Chad finally got his transformation video done because I have been chomping at the bit to share it with you.  Not only does it showcase his amazing results — the before footage will crack you up! LOL!

Check it out!

Chad’s Story in his own words:

I was content with my life. All aspects of my life were great! I had a good job I enjoyed, a wonderful wife, 3 healthy (and fun) kids, a nice house, and a new past-time I was excited about (wakeboarding). Yet, something was still missing. After looking at some of the pictures my wife had taken during a recent family vacation I realized what it was. ME! Well, the “physically in shape” me. I was, to put it nicely, FAT! I couldn’t believe why I hadn’t noticed it before. I then started looking through pictures from the last year or so and there they were again FAT pictures of me. What? Why hadn’t I noticed it before? That’s when I got serious! I went online and looked up transformation pictures and found Wayne Wyatt. I was sold. I signed up that day as a coach for Beachbody and started my journey with P90X and Shakeology. I was so pumped!!!  That was February 14, 2011.

I was 34 years old, weighing 197 at 5’9 1/2 (can’t forget the 1/2) with a body fat of 28%!

I completely dove into the P90X program! I used the Fat Shredder (1900 calorie) diet and worked out religiously everyday. The only stumbling block that was in my way was a Disney World spring break vacation with my family in April. However, I was prepared! I packed my supplements, Shakeology, and called to make sure there was a gym at our resort. I ROCKED it. I was up every morning doing my P90X routines in the gym. It was funny because several times people stopped and asked me “is that P90X?” I smiled and said “yes”. This was the first vacation I ever came home from and didn’t gain 10lbs! My 90 days was winding down when I heard that TeamRIPPED was starting an Insanity/The Asylum 30 day challenge. I was IN! I purchased the program and geared up. I got into the Asylum Crazies facebook group and faithfully posted daily. The group kept me so motivated and I met amazing people through this challenge! After the 98 days of P90X and Insantity/The Asylum I had dropped 30lbs. and 16% body fat. My new numbers were:

35 years old, weighing 167 at “still” 5’9 1/2 with a body fat of 12%!

I felt amazing! and the team I worked with over the last month won the challenge and had amazing results! I had a ton more energy, my wakeboarding was improving, my time with my wife and kids was being spent in more healthy ways like running, biking, and playing sports in the yard. In addition, my wife and I went out of our comfort zone and signed up for a Warrior Dash in September. We got to meet several members of the TeamRIPPED family and had the BEST weekend of our lives. I conquered the Warrior Dash, played basketball for 3 hours after AND hung out with some of the most inspirational and motivating people I have ever met! We came home from that weekend more inspired and ready to continue on this journey but with a new passion of helping others. My wife signed up as a coach that month and since then I have been helping others achieve their goals. Next up: a Tough Mudder competition in November and the completion of my P90X round two, which I started last month!

I can honestly say joining as a coach on Day 1 was the BEST decision I have ever made. My life has grown so much! I thought I was blessed before, but now I realize taking care of myself and my body has improved my life to unbelievable measures. I couldn’t be more happy!

Thanks for everything Coach! You truly are an inspiration!
