Ben is a cop, and he wanted the assurance of knowing he could handle himself if — when — physical confrontations come his way. He was already in good cardio condition, but wanted some muscle and needed to lose the body fat that was slowing him down. He made the commitment to P90X and as you can see, his hard work paid off! Ben’s Story =
I have always been tall and thin, but never muscular. I never had abs you could see or any real definition. I was in great cardio shape from playing lots of ultimate frisbee and racing time trial on my bicycle. My wife bought P90X sometime in 2008 and I had started multiple times, never getting more than 3 weeks through it. I was never overweight, I just wanted to “bulk up.” Then in 2010 I became a police officer. I love my job but there is a lot more sitting and driving than chasing people. I gained 20 pounds in less than 2 years thanks to eating available food, fast food, and not exercising much. I would have been ok with that but none of the 20 pounds was useful! I was 6’4″ 200 pound, 21% body fat and had lost most of my endurance. Every night at work, I would think “If I get into fight tonight, am I strong enough to survive and win?” In march I decided enough is enough!
