Weekend Update

Hey teamRIPPED!!

How is everyone’s week going?  Did you rock April with your health and fitness?  Were you on point or were you still in a spring funk?  Don’t let this snow in May fool you and let you think that summer is still a ways off and you’ll have time to step it up later.  Cuz the truth is, there is NO TIME LEFT for those who have been putting it off.  It’s MAY!!  June is 1 month away, and it will be summer time baby!  And with this extended cold weather, I CAN’T WAIT!

It may be hard to realize at the moment if you are digging out from snow storms, but summer is right around the corner!  Swimsuits.  Pools.  Lakes.  Beaches.  Will you be ready?  Or will you be hiding and hoping no one notices you?  No more excuses gang!  #MAYDAY!!

As you all know, I’m at a point in my fitness where I am able to indulge in a cheat meal every week and a few treats that don’t fit into MyFitnessPal ratios without it affecting my physique.  But I still remember the 6 months I went without a single cheat meal or cheat bite or cheat sip of any kind.  And while it was really intense, it was also really rewarding.  For those who need to make that level of commitment, I’ll do it with you.

I will commit to the entire month of May without a single cheat meal, cheat bite, or cheat sip of any kind.  Are you with me?  I want everyone to be ready to really flaunt their health and fitness this summer.  ’13 is YOUR YEAR people!!!!  Come join me in the teamR1PP3D ’13 Challenge facebook group and let’s encourage one another and hold each other accountable to making May the best it can be!  Make the most out of May!  All hands on deck to rock this!  #MAYDAY!!

I am excited to report that Carl Tough James (whose transformation video and story I posted just last week in our Hall of Fame) won the Beachbody Challenge and earned some cash in the process!

Alright, first day of phase 3 and the new diet. Entered everything I've eaten today plus what I anticipate tonight into my fitness pal, and came up with 1820 kcal. this is good, as it still gives me 280 calories to play with in case I missed something or one of my servings goes a little over. Looking forward to seeing the results here in 5 weeks.

Hey coach, I was thinking about purchasing some One on Ones, but I don't want to purchase all the volumes, so are there any workouts in particular from the one on one series that you like and would recommend?

Coach Wayne, I'm following most of your sample diet plan but with a bigger deficit since I'm shorter and at 200 pounds. I keep gaining weight but idk if I'm gaining muscle mass and losing fat or the inverse. I'm almost to my first month mark and this feels discouraging.

 @Garzao Are you tracking? What is your calorie goal? Are you running Fat Shredder? Have you been perfect?

@CoachWayne I haven't really been measuring body fat. I've heard they're really inaccurate. And I started at 208.6 about three weeks ago. My calorie goal is from 1450-1500. I AM running fat shredder and I have not cheated at all.

 @Garzao  I think it would be really hard to gain anything being 200 and eating 1500 calories. So in 3 weeks you've gone from 208.6 to 200?

Starting Body Beast on Monday and man I'm excited! I've tested out chest/tris and back/bis this week to see what to expect and I've loved them and looking forward to that challenge. 

 

No Cheat meals! 2700+ calories a day! Let's do it!

I'm with you Wayne! I'm heading into phase 3 of P90X on Monday, so in order to truely lean out, I'm dropping the kcal's down, hitting fat shredder @ 2100, and eliminating all cheat days, cheat meals, and drinking alcohol until I'm done (June 8th). Hoping to hit a new level of leaning out this time around!
