teamRIPPED is never farther away than your mobile device!
I launched a couple apps last year for teamRIPPED, but couldn’t get one that would work across all mobile platforms. Thanks to Dominic D, one of our teamRIPPED members, I now have a single app that works on all mobile devices, and just in time for 2013 and the launch of our team R1PP3D ’13 Challenge — making ’13 YOUR YEAR!
Staying plugged in is the best way to stay accountable and motivated. And since most of us have our mobile phones with us all the time, we can stay plugged in anytime, from anywhere, thanks to the teamRIPPED app!
To get the teamRIPPED mobile app, simply click the link below from your mobile device =
Or, you can click the above link from your computer and you’ll see the following screen =
Then just fill in your email and the app link will be mailed to you. Open the email and click the link from your mobile device.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll be prompted to install the free teamRIPPED app to your home screen of your phone!
Then, you’ll have a handy icon on your mobile device to remind you that you are part of teamRIPPED, and that you are on this journey with thousands of others who are going against the flow, standing strong in the face of temptations, and putting in the commitment it takes to make this change. Trust me, it’s worth it! If you feel like caving in, click the link and get a dose of teamRIPPED motivation!!
Unfortunately I couldn’t figure out how to make a fist that would pop out of your phone and smack you if you get near junkfood LOL! But it’s still a handy way to have some instant teamRIPPED motivation anywhere you are. You can check the latest happenings from the teamRIPPED website, our FB group page, Twitter, and Youtube, all on the app :-).
And just try ordering a jumbo supreme stuffed crust pizza from your phone with that teamRIPPED badge staring back at you — a little extra accountability never hurt!
I hope teamRIPPED nation enjoys the mobile access. It’s nothing super fancy, but it works and it keeps you plugged in. That’s the key!!
A special shout out to one of our teamRIPPED members, Dominic D., for helping me with this version of the app!! You rock man!
Keep Bringing it! Keep Digging Deep! Keep Beasting Up!
Moeknow I would go with P90X. Check out: http://teamripped.com/p90x-vs-insanity-revisited/
Mike, I’ve done IF for a few weeks as an experiment, based on the 16/8 system of Lean Gains. I think that in a nut shell, IF can be good for cutting. It will definitely help limit your calories if you have a problem sticking with your plan during a normal eating schedule. Limiting your eating window to 8 hours gives you less time to mess up LOL. But for muscle gains, I don’t like it. Your body can only synthesize protein from your diet to build muscle if you give your body protein. If you are fasting 16 hours, your muscles simply can’t recover and grow during those 16 hours. You can't make up for messed meals with a large one. Thus, if cutting is the main goal IF can work, but I definitely DON’T like it if building muscle is your goal. I’d prefer instead to be disciplined with a 6 meal per day schedule and NOT CHEAT!
Question, I'm having trouble getting to my daily coloric needs of 1900. Most of the time i'm at 1500-1600. My question is if I decide to put in another scoop of protein in my shake in the morning and after my workout (usually the times i take protein) is this protein "wasted?" What I mean is does the body only digest a certain amount of protein at a given time. My protein has around 23 grams per scoop. I was thinking of doubling this both time I take it to hit my #'s...what do you think about this? Thanks coach.
Nate, it won't be wasted. Anywhere between 30-40g will illicit a protein synthesis response. More protein doesn't make a bigger response (it's a threshold), but it is not wasted. Your body will still use that extra protein for fuel and energy. Add it in!
Thanks doc, So they added more recovery time thus avoiding the risk of over training? Yet BB was still able to find a way for people to maximize their results. So it would be wise to say X2 was designed to be smarter training not tougher training? The reason why I've been so weary of X2 is because after serving years as an Army Infantryman and training in MMA; my mind and body are used to tough 1-2+ hours of extreme hardcore training and exercises. And do you think that is the majority of fitness population's downfall? People are looking for tougher exercises and not realize there is a way to go at things differently. Still train, look and feel like an elite athlete without beating ourselves into a bloody submission. I guess Tony and BB approached X2 with a more scientific/philosophical point of view as opposed to a punishing push, pull and jump until you drop routine?
JR, it is smarter training and more advanced training. The Performance phase is truly cutting edge training. The type of training you decide to use really depends on your goals and time. Most people can spend 2+ hrs a day working out. P90X and X2 show that you can get extreme results both in performance and appearance with an hour a day. Even for really extreme training, you still always need recovery time.
Hi doc, Can you explain how adding instability while doing bicep curls or push ups then shortening those workouts is better? How is that more complex as some say? How does that create bigger muscles and burns more fat and calories? Exactly how does less equals more in this case? If X2 is just as effective as X1 if not better, then how much of a percentage does proper nutrition actually play? 50%; 60%; 80%? I guess I'm just hoping to find scientific answers to how X2 works compared to X1 when the workouts are much shorter yet I keep seeing awesome like results. Thanks Dr. Wyatt...and happy new year!
JR, X2, or P90X for that matter, are not strictly designed for hypertrophy (to your questions about big muscles). Hypertrophy happens and can be maximized with both X and X2, but they are both complete programs aimed at improving your overall fitness and athletic performance in the case of X2. The instability aspects of X2 focus on causing you to control each and every movement. You aren't going to be swinging around doing cheat reps if you are doing bicep curls on one foot. In that way, X2 can really encourage new growth. If you can stick it out and get true control, you can make the most out of every rep with focus on the contraction. You can do this when sitting on a bench doing curls too, but our tendency is often to "help" the muscle we are working by cheating in various ways. X2 really eliminates a lot of extra movement and momentum. The workouts are around the same length, the warm up and cool down should be included in the work. Especially in the case of the stretching which really primes you for recovery. The PAP workouts in the Performance phase are no joke. There isn't anything like those in P90X (or any other program). For any program, nutrition is 80% of the equation. You can't outwork a bad diet. At best a bad diet and working out cancel each other out and you get little to no real results. Happy New Year to you too!
Hi Coach Wayne, I am just starting Insanity and was thinking can I join your team if I am living in Uk ? Do you know if shakelogy is available in uk ? Ps. After watching your transformation on YouTube I ve decided to try it myself , can't wait to see result ! Thanks Seb
Seb, unfortunately no Team Beachbody or Shakeology outside of the US and Canada. You can still use me as your coach though. Use the site, ask questions here, and email me (coachwayne@teamripped.com). Bring it!!
I looked in the apple store for the app and could not find it. :-( was really hoping to check out your app.
Hey Coach Wayne. I had a beach body coach auto assigned when I signed up a few days ago. I would really like to join your team. Can we make that happen?
Sure thing Justin. Just follow the instructions in the "join our team" tab for doing a coach switch. Looking forward to it! http://teamripped.com/join-my-team
Coach. I have an iPhone and downloaded this app/mobile version and it loads up and then looks like the normal web page. Not sure if this formatting correctly for iPhone users or not. My wife's company has an app/mobile web version too which I just checked out on my iPhone and that loads correctly. Any guesses? Hate to ask.
RippedVenom, that is right. It was extremely difficult to get am actual app with Apple. It should take you right to teamRIPPED.
Love the app Coach. Downloaded it about a month ago. Now I can read the articles, and watch your videos where ever I go. An undispensible utility app. Simply love it! Gideon
Hey Luis, I have been trying but like Apple, they make it very difficult to put out a true app (unlike Android which was very easy to work with).
Got the app Coach. Any sneak peaks or exclusive info about Asylum 2 coach ? Can I get it early through you ?? LOL, I am not kidding. Amd also, I think I speak for all the kind hearted people in the world when I thank you for adopting Xander.
Hey Coach, Just wanted to say, did PAP lower for the first time yesterday and WOW. Got upper today and hope it doesn't kill me like lower did (imagines self groaning like coach during the whole thing hehe). Last phase and then I think I will be low enough body fat to beast up.
I find it funny about some of the people who downvote the app on the android market place. "It's about some guy who works out." "Some guy just likes to show off his body." lol, whatever dudes. It's those people who are still eating cheetos and overweight and wondering why they don't look like the dude on the app. Do the work and it WILL pay off. Keep it up Coach. You're doing it RIGHT!
I've been using the Android app for months-It's great! It's actually how I found teamRIPPED and what made me wanna join the team :)
Hey coach, im having my first cheat meal after X2 and I'm kind of nervous :). But my question is that it is going to be dessert and it is a russian food so it dont know how much of it to eat. SHould i just eat generous amount (not to much but not too little)?
Josh that is up to you man. I would probably stick on the lighter side. If you have been really strict, it might be a rude awaking for your body!
Great! I wont need to go to the website through safari anymore :-). Thanks Coach, this is the website that changes my life :-)
coach wayne qik q.is it alright to eat 2 greek yougurts the same day on the fat shredder/?each has 6 grams of sugar and 18 grams of protein.thnk
Johnathan the plain greek yogurt (which I think is what you are talking about) would be fine. Enjoy!
Coach, I think there is a problem with your app! I think it takes me to a Marvel app, because when it it loading, I see an image of the Hulk on my screen! You may want to look into that! LOL!
How ironic... I was just thinking a few weeks ago when Coach Wayne was going to share the love with us iphone/ipod owners! Way to go Coach!
